I was a little surprised to find that there was no give when spending a large sum of money on a camera. I really hoped that maybe a free memory card could have been added but the salesman was very matter of fact (where do we make money!! ) I felt like walking out of the shop and going elsewhere but I really needed the camera, Will probably not purchase from again... Apart from that was helped in my purchase.

If I go to the supermarket and a queue starts to form at the checkout, the staff stop what they're doing and help out. It would be good to cut the queuing time at Calumet.

Calumet Glasgow has great customer service, friendly and knowledgeable. My rental experience would have been perfect had one unit not stopped working mid shoot. However, I was not charged for that particular unit, which was a nice solution.

Calumet staff were good as always but Photolease staff were obtuse, and I felt they believed we are particularly untrustworthy given the number of times and methods they asked for identification, signatures and witness signatures

Very wide product range, good store arrangement, but my experience when you enter the store was that its hard to get the attention of a sales representative. Although I asked for help, and the store was not full, I felt not really attended at the beginning.

I wanted a quick remove mount for a video head. I want to use it with a loaned 300mm prime lens with a 1.4 multiplier. You checked which model was correct for my video head. You had to order it from Manfrotto and did not when I would receive it. I took a gamble since I wanted for a particular trip. The item arrived in good time but with a clip missing. I am not sure if this is important since I have not seen the mount for the lens yet and so will take the quick remove mount and find out.

We have recently started purchasing from your company for our business photographic product needs. We have found your website user friendly. Your prices are on a normal competitive level. Our first order was delivered perfect although 5 to 7 days for full process. Our second order has now been 5 days and we are still waiting? We feel with the price charged for shipping to Europe taking into account it’s free in the UK and not many kilos, we feel it is overpriced for the time it takes. We have stopped using one supplier because of product reliability but they had one thing right, 4 days maximum.

As a photographer that use films and analogue materials (I'm studying in the gsa) I'd like to find more analogue staff in stock that can compete with website's prices. It's amazing that in Glasgow there isn't a shop where we can buy films and paper at a good prices. Thank you

The order when it arrive was picked wrong. I had to call customer services to let them know. The customer service dept arranged for pick up of the incorrect product, and delivery of the correct item. So handled well and promptly, just a shame that the item was picked incorrectly in the first place. I train C/S people in many industries and this is not uncommon that warehouse pickers are not trained well enough and this of course then impacts on C/S. Had picker understood the product, not only was the code incorrect in was obviously incompatible

After waiting patiently for over an hour for the video specialist to return from lunch he managed to serve three other people, all whom had arrived after me, before eventually serving me. However his advice was relatively good and I am happy with the equipment sold. Maybe train more staff to be able to deal with all aspects of the business.

First time physically shopping instore. Previously have purchased online. The store seems a little unusual in its layout (compared with what I'm used to) with a main central service area and other areas spread around it and low shelves in between. Service was reasonably quick and the staff were knowledgable.

Helpful, knowledgeable staff although ordering camera in-store took 3 days to arrive from only 30miles always. Still waiting on extra promotional goods to arrive after 3 weeks.

My web order was for unknown reasons rejected by your website which I found very poor. I was then cut off whilst talking to a member of staff trying to sort it out. In the end I placed a telephone order for which the sales staff member was very helpful and understanding. So 5* for your sales team, 2* for the website order. Impossible to rate with the above, I have just given average overall i.e. neither good nor bad.

First, I had my concierge call Calumet to see what selection of lights they had in stock. No one picked up the phone, so my friend and I took a short cab ride, as the website posted they were open. When we walked into the store, there were twoclerks, who were assisting customers. I had to wait about ten minutes to get assistance. During that ten minutes, the phone rang, and despite one clerk standing near the phone and not directly engaged with a customer, simply let the phone ring. We laughed and realized that this was their standard protocol. When I jokingly mentioned it to the clerk, he acted as if he did not hear me. Somewhat of an overpriced, and below average service, but I got what I needed, so I will not rate them "poor", which is truly what they deserve.

The free delivery quoted on your website for orders over £100 do not apply to large areas of the UK. High surcharges are applied to many UK mainland and island areas which your chosen delivery suppliers regard as less profitable. This is unfair and prevents you from doing far better business with customers in these regions. I like your website and products and have recommended you to colleagues but the excessive delivery charges are unacceptable.

I've bought quite a bit of kit from Calumet in the last couple of years, mainly online. The website is easy to use and navigate, I have no complaints with the prices or service as I rarely have any contact with a human being at Calumet and do my research online before purchasing anything. However, I purchased a battery pack for my speed lights last year and couldn't get it to work. After a fruitless phone call to the Calumet help desk it was suggested I take the battery to my nearest store where it could be checked for faults. After travelling to Manchester from Doncaster the fault was easily resolved (I should have also had batteries in my speedlights to complete the circuit) & something that I feel staff on the help desk should have known. It cost me a train ticket and half a day out of the studio to find this out, pretty annoying. The staff member in the store was very busy and not at all apologetic which made it more annoying.
