“Overall, service is consistently good. I've yet to meet any horrible sales assistants. Generally the depth of knowledge is spot on, but there are a few instances that makes me wonder if the management did a form of training with the staff to get their knowledge up to standard. I understand that cameras can be pretty confusing due to their naming schemes, but I was for example confused when a staff said that the A7S II was £1500, when she was actually looking at the price of the A7S, and insisting that she can't be wrong. Also, there was a confusion with another staff member over the konova K3 & K5, giving me the wrong price yet again. I would've taken advantage of that but ah, I'll feel bad about it. Lastly, I was told to go to euston to get the OSMO, and so I did. I purchased it, and waited patiently for an hour for them to find it in their warehouse. Turns out there was a logistics error where they didn't actually have the OSMO but only the spare battery, and according to them, some warehouse staff logged the battery as the device instead. That wasn't very nice, as I actually took the day off to get the product and was promised of its availability. If anyone's actually reading this, some form of voucher would be amazing for my time wasted. Once again, mostly understandable mistakes, but maybe that might affect those consumers whom are not that well versed in their product of interest?”

“When buying the new Fujifilm XT-2 was given some useful comparisons of the battery types that fitted it enabling a cheaper choice of spare. There seem to be some new enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff, which makes a nice change as on previous visits some service was offhand and unhelpful.”

“First and foremost, Calumet are a no hassle partner for supplying absolutely everything I may need for my varied photography equipment needs. I was even able to rent the new Canon 5d mk iv on the first day of its release! Whether I'm buying a new toy or needing to rent high quality camera & lighting equipment, the staff at Calumet are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, always happy and able to provide valuable advice on how I can make the most of any shoot. I would (and frequently do) highly recommend them to other photographers whether they're a seasoned pro or just starting out in the business.”

They were very patient with me and allowed me try out lots of different pieces of equipment to I choose the right one for me. “Just about everything went wrong...I cannot believe I am even taking the time to write this but i am still so angry with the service I received at Calumet....I went into wardour st and was served by an extremely nice guy who told me about the lenses I was think about purchasing and when I had made a decision he said he didnt have it there but would have it sent over from euston the following day; the follwoing day no one called me when he said they would; I called and spoke to two different guys maybe 4 or 5 times - every time they said they would call em back to say why my lens wasnt there - they never did call...eventually they said the guy in warehouse at Euston had forgotten to put it on the transport; I was so annoyed with this continual stalling and lack of communication that I had to get a taxi from wardour with all my suitcases and equipment (I was shooting the next day) - wardour st had told me - Euston would give me a discount when I got there - they didnt; I was rush and flustered and very upset that I had to go over there AND pay for a cab for the privilege AND get no discount AND it was on my birthday too ....”

“Usually I have experienced excellent service at Calumet. I try to support it by shopping there because I know how difficult retail outlets have to compete with online shopping. I selected 2 packages from the shelves of Epsom inks for my printer and tried to pay for them. I was then informed that I could not buy them because of some ordering system. I don't appreciate travelling 30 minutes in heavy traffic, selecting goods and waiting half an hour whilst staf f made calls/ in house discussions etc. Whilst polite I felt let down as I think I have been a good customer and deserved better service.”
