“Treated like a scammer. I set an order with that store for a camera. My bank validated the transaction. Then I received notification that they require, identification, and utility bill with the address, which is dangerous and unnacceptable to send passport ID via email. No matter what I provided those and they still rejected my order. Not worth the hassle, shop elsewhere.”

“Very satifsied. My order was dealt with quickly. I forgot to update my address for delivery, but the Calumet staff arranged for it to be redelivered to my new address, no problem at all.”

“The internet is great for information & finding the best camera for you however in-store experience can't be beaten. With this in mind, the combination of Calumet website and stores is great. In-store customer experience I was not happy with my store experience. I asked some basic questions about 'try before you buy' and rental which was all met with extra conditions. This adding of extra complexities or terms to something that should be simple to help gain my 2-3k spend is very off putting. Promotional offers - extra terms & conditions felt like they are made up! At the time, Calumet had two significant offers on - Discount on accessories when spending £500 or more on cameras/lenses. I purchased a camera body and lens both are well over £500 each with the total spend near £1900. They said I couldn't have more than one accessory discount and I couldn't separate the purchases. A little Customer Experience improvement could be simply using your promotions to make me (customer) feel more valued. The combination of the above experiences I have no loyalty to Calumet which is disappointing as I really expected it to be different.”

“I've used Calumet over the years as my business has grown and I've ticked various things of my kit wish. Both in store and online the team are really helpful, very competitvely priced a pleasure to shop with. Will continue to be a customer for as long as I need (want) camera equipment!”

“DEar Calumet I would like to take this opportunity to make a few serious comments of constructive criticism. I first went to drummond street store 10 years ago. The service was personal and people like Edward and Seymour were great on helping technically. Upon going back in 2014 I found it had changed considerably. However Richard Bridge was very helpful and first rate. I do think the approach in general has changed at drummond st. It has got to big and inpersonsal fori my liking. I now go to see Neil and Edward at Wardour st. they are both highly capable and Mature professional members of staff and very very helpful. I have every respect for their abilities. During 2014 I went into Park cameras, Without being in any way disregarding of your Company I Found them to be great, just like drummond st ten years ago. They have a non pushy Approach and a true liking for Photography which is trrue of your wardour st store. The thing is I did end up Spending a lot of money with Park. I do like the Friendly customer Led approach of Park particularly Neville Paul and Mike. They are just so customer focused. May I suggest you look at transferring The approach of Neil and Edward back into the drummond st store if that is possible. The culture of that Centre needs to change as far as I am concerned. I do hope this helps and I trust you do not take offence. However you did ask and I think it is only fair for me to be honest. Obviously you cannot please every single customer but then every customer does count. Its a question of good business practise and we have money to spend, and ultimately Calumet must be about making money. I hope this is of some use. Thank you for taking the time to read this account. “We visited Calumet in Bristol for the first time last month as we were looking for new Studio Flash equipment for our Wedding Photography business. The staff were absolutely first class, setting up a demo version of the Bowens kit we eventually bought in a studio environment. We were able to extensively test the kit with the same camera we normally use ourselves. The member of staff was knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Based on this experience I would thoroughly recommend Calumet and will definitely be buying more kit from them in the future.”

“Getting used to the extra weight but not as bad as I thought. Only really had good light last few days so cannot comment on low light. Chuffed with it at the moment. Very sharp pictures.”
