“Having expressed interest in a new camera which was obviously in demand, the store manager, Lesley, alerted me when one was in stock and held it aside to allow me several days to get to the branch and assess it before making a decision as to whether to purchase it, even though others definitely wanted to buy. I've not had anything other than excellent customer service from the Manchester branch.”

“Brilliant service in the Birmingham store. I needed a new lens for my film camera, and not only were they able to help me choose the lens, they also had lots of film info, and pointed me towards other interested people. Friendly, helpful, brilliant.”

“My order has still not arrived despite it being ordered on 25th May, 26 days ago. I was aware that you were awaiting stock when I placed the order, but I didn't think it would take so long. You failed to contact me to let me know what the issue was, I had to get in touch with you twice. You are still not bothering to contact me to keep me informed of the progress of the order, so clearly your aftersales customer service is diabolical. I simply want to know when there is a problem with my order and I wish I had decided to shop elsewhere. Your customer service needs to improve with immediate effect or I shall be telling all of my photography colleagues not to bother shopping with you again, there are plenty of competitors who would value our custom instead.”

“I am now a fully ‘retired’ professional photographer, if such a thing is ever possible. I dealt with this firm when they were called ‘Pelling and Cross’, long before being taken over by Calumet but nothing much has changed. They are one of the top professional photographic dealers in the UK and still my first port of call for all new equipment. To be honest my pre-order of the Nikon D500 has taken a ‘very long time’ to come but that was not their fault. The earthquake in Japan disrupted supply and as always, Nikon gave the lion’s share of what was available to America. Thanks to Calumet however I now have one of the very first Nikon D500’s in the country and could not be happier. Cropped frame or not it is just one fantastically 'fast' camera (Focus / FPS / ISO ) all just go! go! go! I speak as a happy D810 owner…. I now have both... the Nikon limo... and their smaller sports car. Many thanks Clumet Bob Bridges”

“This was my first purchase from Calumet online (I usually visit the Bristol store). Customer service is first rate, very fast response to any questions or queries - in this case just emailing for a tracking number. Delivery came as expected and free next day delivery can't be beaten!”

“There is always good communication and quality product information throughout the meeting - me and my colleague popped in to test out a range of video cameras, both dedicated and hybrid, and through testing and questions we settled on a Canon c100 mk2 and accessories. The server did his best to help us get a competitive price and also made us feel welcome!”

“I'm a big fan of Calumet. Every time I walk into the store I enter with excitement and optimism. I recently bought a mic that can only be refunded if it was faulty. Nowhere was it clearly mentioned that this was the return policy, perhaps I've overlooked it but what really upset me was the customer service I received by one of the gentlemen behind the counter. Very distasteful and bitter. He needs to know that photographers/videographers of all levels enter the store and there was no need to be so direct and condescending. Although he only gave me one (vital) piece of misinformation the rest was accurate. He should really know his cable knowledge if he feels so superior. I never write reviews but this guy clearly upset me/pissed me off. Other than that keep up the good work.”

“I find Calumet my go to place when buying or renting photographic equipment. The prices reasonable and I would be happy to recommend them to colleagues and friends. The staff are very helpful in the rental department and sales are very knowledgeable.”

“I was looking for a new lense dedicated to urban and landscape photography and I went to Calumet-photographic in order to get some advices. There i've got the opportunity to try the lense that is currently on my DSLR. Seller's advices were really interesting and helped me a lot to take my decision. Calumet-photographic is a good shop for everything related to this area and sellers are really keen to help and Professional. I would like to recommend this shop for all this good point.”

“My experience at Calumet Photographic was an excellent one. A few months ago, I`ve bought a camera trolley bag and sadly, the handle broke. The staff at Calumet was extremely helpful and they have replaced the trolley instantly. Besides that, they have professionally answered my questions regarding a set of LED lights and have made my shopping experience as pleasant as it can be. I highly recommend them.”
