I paid for the car fax report and could not view the report that I paid for. This is not user friendly application. I have used it before but now it is now taking the money from users that can't view the results of the research . I will not use or refer car fax again

My car received some paint scrapes on the quarterpanel from someone while it was parked in a parking lot. I got it repaired since it is a new car. Now CarFax says it was in an "accident" which to most reader means a real crash with real damage. So you have greatly decreased the value of my car because you don't distinguish between "accident" and "paint chip." Thanks so much.

I didn't get all my carfaxes I paid for. I purchased the largest package. Buying a preowned car is a process. Im sure I clicked to agree to your terms, and Im sure your online terms like everyone else's is a thousand pages long that no one reads and absolves you from responsibly providing the services paid for because of unfair time limits. If I get 10. I should get 10 without limits of time. Sometimes we have things arise in our lives and buying a car has to take a backseat. However, when the time comes where I can look again, my remaining unused carfaxes should be waiting for me. Also, carfaxes is too easily manipulated by dealers. I had looked a a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee at a dealer in Queens NY. The dealer had posted their own free carfax. Carfax came up with a roll back warning, it also warned of a possible data entry error. But the error was for 2 years in a row. When I questioned the dealer about the carfax, they got back to me hours later with a new carfax with the 2 years in question regarding odometer rollback deleted from the history. I understand not everything gets reported to carfax but nothing should be deleted upon request of a dealer trying to make a sale. Needless to say i didn't buy the jeep but I now view all carfax and car check reports with extreme scrutiny. However, I am still in the market and would like my remaining carfaxes that I didn't use since they're all paid for anyway. If not, its pretty much like you stole my money. Maybe not 100% if my money is stolen but a percentage is unless I get all my carfaxes. If you care about being honest and providing an honest service for the money you charged me, you'll allow me my remaining carfaxes.

I used Carfax in an effort to determine the value of my 2006 Audi A6. The report rated the value much lower that it should have. It ignored six years of maintenance at authorized Audi dealership repair shops. I notified Carfax of this matter and did not receive a response.

My car fax information was wrong, so when I contacted car fax to make an inquiry, the customer service I received from Car Fax was so bad, that I will no longer consider buying a car from a car fax certified dealer. Cheers!

The only thing carfax did for me was send frauds to try to steal my car. I did not get one ligitimate offer thru them.

I bought a van that Car Fax seems to not know that it must have been totaled and not reported. I have since found broken glass in the rear hatch door and after a more detail look the front end has bar under the radiator is bent now radiator fluid is leaking.

my carfax said the car had never been in an accident which wasn't true, the front bumper was messed up, which tells me the car had run into something. Also my windshield wipers started messing up which I found out there had been a recall for, but was told by the mazda dealership that the VIN number had already been fixed...... uhhhhh ok so I looked at my carfax and there was nothing showing the wipers had been fixed.

I bought an unlimited license as part of my effort to buy a car from a used car lot this summer- the effort took a while and after 5 cars CarFax told me I couldn't use the service anymore from VIN numbers, just using license plate numbers - well, that's worthless because there are no license plates at used car lots - maybe this limit was in the fine print, all I know I am a repeat customer of CarFax and feel screwed over - I contacted them and got the runaround and they finally days later gave me a few more VIN number attempts AFTER I had bought a car - so worthless customer service after providing a worthless service - I WILL NEVER use them again

I was looking at expedition on Craig list. Got the car fax and it looked fine. but then when I talked to the person they told me it was a old police suv. That fact was not on the carfax and should have been. I did not buy the suv.

Not everything gets reported to carfax it's an OK tool to use when buying a car or truck , but condition of a vehicle has nothing to do with a carfax report

Carfax is not reliable. I purchased a 2007 infinity from a dealer in November of 2010. They were very proud to offer a clean carfax, saying no accident/Damage. I purchased the car. I decided to sell the car just last month, 9-2015 and the new purchaser was glad to see the no accident report from when I bought it. I had a subscription to carfax and decided it would be a good idea to show that I had never been in an accident. TO MY SURPRISE, I saw the carfax now said Structural Damage. I asked carfax to explain why. Well it seems that they did not have a report of an accident and they said "CARFAX began reporting this information on 07/09/2011." I dont see how you can go from no accident/damage to now reporting structural damage. NO HELP FROM CARFAX and now I will loose money trying to sell my car. I relied on a report and now I cannot get any restitution from Carfax.

It is a waste of time. CarFax spends more money on advertising than providing a quality product. Lee

THEY LIE AND THEN WON'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. I'M A DEALER THAT SIGNED UP WITH CARFAX.COM. WHEN I SIGNED UP THEY TOLD ME I WAS GOING TO HAVE FREE ADVERTISING WITH PHOTOS AND LEADS OF MY VEHICLES IN THE PACKAGE I WAS GETTING. NOW THEY'RE SAYING THEY DIDN'T SAY THAT AND I HAVE IT ALL RECORDED ON MY PHONE AND IT TAKES ME LIKE A WEEK TO GET A HOLD OF SOMEBODY. NOW I'M STUCK WITH THEM FOR 6 MONTHS. I DON'T TRUST CARFAX.COM !!!!

CarFax didn't work because the dealer I went to lied about repair history of my vehicle. CarFax is good if the dealer is truthful and the dealer I purchased the vehicle from was lying scum. In my case they rebuilt the engine and rolled back the odometer and I was able to prove it. When I confronted the dealer, and it's a major dealer in Massachusetts, they said they adjust CarFax information all the time. That leads me to believe that CarFax is very unreliable and subject to the whims of whatever the dealer wants it read.

This service is highly over priced. You will get only basic information as that is all available. Henceforth, this shouldn't be such an overpriced service.
