“My son told me about a 2009 BMW X5 with 17,000 miles on it that was for sale by a car dealer. The price listed was a great deal. I called the dealer and asked about it. I was told a lady had purchased it new and it had a bad smell in it. They could not get the smell out and BMW bought it back from her. My son did not believe the story and said to get a car fax report. Thank God I did and found out it had been taken back for numerous problems and was listed as a LEMON!! Car Fax saved me $30,000.00. “Car fax is so incomplete and over priced I will not use it again. I checked my own car. I bought it outright in 2002 new. Carfax said it had lean against it and only 11 service records. It has been dealer serviced by Honda every 3000 miles since new. It now has 155000 on it. That's the only thing it got right.”

“I was buying a car off a friend. Since I met my friend I had seen the car many times and it looked flawless, it was low mileage and apparently very well maintained so I figured I didn't need to get a carfax. A little before buying it I decided to invest in the carfax just to be 100% sure that this was the car for me, and am I glad I did, the carfax highlighted so much information that I was not expecting to find, it told me how many miles each owner put on the car and the carfax confirmed that the super low mileage on the odometer was the actual mileage on the car.”

“Carfax saved my son and I from making a bad deal. The car looked to be in excellent shape. it drove well, no leaks, engine noises etc... The seller was making claims that "it had always been in the family" had no issues etc... and we were about to close. Then I did a quick Carfax check and found out that the car had had 4 owners and that there was potentially at least 70k miles missing off of the odometer. We made a hasty retreat and thank Carfax for saving us from making a bad deal.”

“It helped me sell my car with confidence to tell potential buyers over the phone that I had the carfax and there were no accidents,etc. There were a few who asked and I could show them the carfax report. It's a good tool for sellers and buyers. Thankyou”

“When I started using Carfax I thought it was a bit costly for one months subscription. But as I started searching cars and finding their reports and evaluation, the reviews were so accurate, it made me buy a car become easy. This is how it helped me, I found a car on craigslist all looked good about the car miles, servicing, timing belt changes and all. The Price was also perfect, before I was about to buy it, I ran a carfax report for the car and to my luck, I found out the car was a total loss vehicle, what a save!!! I just did not buy that car and also made sure the owner mentioned that in his advertisement and not keep people in Dark. The car that I bought, had a clean carfax and was very well managed and all servicing records were properly mentioned in carfax and I got the car for a good deal. Thanks a lot Carfax!! Keep the good work Going!!”

“I almost bougth a car loaded with more miles thant what the seller said it had 88k miles . I was able to use carfax the day that I was going to purchase that car and surprise the car had a history and a 203k miles.......... A week latero found a car and used carefax, I found the history of the vehicle, and it had only one owner and we are happy with the car, and happy that we took the time to research the cars using Carfax...Thanks”

“Hey Car Fax My Son in another State was looking at a Volkswagen GTI. On a car lot. I was not able to look at the car for him and buying from secondary car lots can be tricky. Using Car Fax it showed that the Car was a one owner vehicle with no accident history and well maintained prior to being traded in and wholesaled. We bought the vehicle and he is very happy with it. “I had set out to buy a prius, and I wanted a used one. I know that they had good ratings with consumer reports and they recommended getting the car fax. I found one and found out threw car fax that it had a rear end collision that the dealership didn't mention until I said something. You guys saved me money. thanks”

“Thank you so much for your car fax service! It kept me from making a purchase that would have been a costly mistake, and also was a great tool that helped me buy a car I was happy with and had confidence in. I was interested in a 2003 PT Cruiser that was for sale by owner. The owner told me that it had only 79,000 miles, That's what the odometer read and he even showed me a printed off copy of a car fax. Because I intended to purchase it, I felt I should run my own car fax to confirm his printed car fax copy, boy, am I glad I did!! The car's last recorded mileage in the state of New York (I live in Colorado) four years earlier, was 136,000!! Also, the PT Cruiser had not been licensed since the mileage had been recorded four years earlier. You saved me from being scammed and I am very grateful! “It is my second time using Car Fax. Both times I would have made a huge mistake purchasing a car that was previously had major accidents...but according to the sellers were free of any defects. One of the vehicles was actually a VGA car. I think that the service is worth every penny! I was able to finally purchase a great car for my youngest daughter without worrying, at least about the vehicle... now her driving is another story!!...LOL... Thank you Car Fax!! Tom Jonas”

“I was interested in a 2011 accord with low miles and the owner stated it was a clean title no accidents . The car looked great and the title was clean however when I checked carfax they warned me that it could be a washed title becuase in another state the car was given a salvage title. ....that was close...thanks to carfax, I was not going to be ripped off”

“Buying a used vehicle can be a mess especially when you buy privately. I was looking for a particular car and every time I found one the first thing I did was ran the carfax. It saved me from buying a total loss vehicle and helped me get the exact vehicle I was looking for.”
