“I got a complete review of all info. about the car , but I was very upset about the 38 issues this has had !! I would not have bought this car if the dealer had told me the truth!!!”

“I was looking at a Mazda Miata in York Pennsylvania. Carfax showed that the car had been moved north for auction from Florida. The town in Florida where it came from and the time in which it was transported coincided with a major Flood. CarFax saved me from a potential disaster. We had been victimized by a flood damaged car previously.”

“I bought a 1998 isuzu Trooper when my daughter turned 16. I always pull a carfax whenever I am buying a new vehicle so of course I had that one in the file when it came time to sell it last month. Since I was purchasing another car I had a new 1 month subscription to carfax so I pulled a new current carfax on the trooper. As I placed the ad on Craigslist I put in the verbage that I had a current carfax on the vehicle. The first guy who came out took the vehicle for a short ride and gladly gave me asking price. Yes the car was clean and ready to go however he stated very clearly that he bought it because I offered the carfax in the ad! Thats a powerful result so Thank You !!!”

“The CarFax was helpful and it would be a great selling tool to the used car dealers to offer for free...It helped us get our money back from a dealer that kind of" misled" us on the mileage, claiming he got the car at an auction and was "unaware" of the difference...Thanks!!!”

“I have come to use carfax when looking at used cars. It is the best insurance policy you can have. I learned the hard way from buying what I thought would be a highly collectable car in the past. I had bought a 40th anniversary corvette convertible from a supposed reputable collector car dealer. This was before carfax was popular. I had no issues with the car but in recent shopping I bought your unlimited package and once I checked the perspective cars I decided to just run the report on my collector car. It was the classic example of what not to buy it was totaled engine and transmission replaced title was scrubbed clean by the dealer it was odometer fixed and just about every warning lit up bright red. My world of expected value growth crashed down around me when I realized I had such issues with the car. Just proves the value of always check the carfax and I always do now. Thank you for helping to protect the buyers.”

“I have found that whenever I have been looking at a vehicle it has been great to obtain the vin number and pay for carfax to check it out before I commit to showing interest in purchasing. Then it is also good to get the carfax guarantee as well. Great job, Doug D.”

“For eight months, I ran a project to find the perfect used car. I wanted to replace my Acura Integra GSR VTEC that I lost on my divorce. Found a late model Acura RSX at a reasonable price. The sales rep told me that it had two small fender benders, but that the car was fine. A close friend of mine who lived his life selling cars smelled a rat. He told me to buy CARFAX unlimited for $54. I did so. The Acura was sold at auction twice absent title as a result of horrible accidents in August 2011 and 2012. A car that has been totaled TWICE! And I came close to buying it. I found my dream car. 2003 Volvo XC70 AWD gas turbo, 91K. One owner, non smoker's car, perfect service record. Purchased Freja August 28 - I drive that car just because I can. Do the unlimited plan. As I recall, one car costs $39. two cars $49 and any number of cars $54. Spend the $54 - smartest money I ever spent. I researched MANY cars. Have fun ;-) JackStanford71@AOL.com”

“When I purchased my last car, and then got my report, it made me feel that I in fact made the right choice. While some things can be obtained through other means, the car fax reports was quick and extremely complete. It had everything I needed to have in order for me to continue forward, giving me information that would otherwise would have taken me a while to get, if anything at all.”

“I was buying a 25-year old vehicle from a stranger on Craigslist who had owned it for only a couple months and didn't know anything about its history. Carfax provided me valuable information about the car's maintenance records that gave me the confidence to go ahead with the purchase. I'm glad I did; I love that car and it is now my daily driver!”

“We were ready to buy our 18 year old a used car to go to college in. I checked the CarFax on the one the dealership was preparing for her and found that it had been in multiple collisions, and even had unresolved recalls on it! As soon as I informed them, they found us another of the same car, '09 Chevy Cobalt, with a clean vehicle history report. She is thrilled with her car and we are thrilled with CarFax. “141019 Dear CarFax: Our family had an accident “totaling our BMW that had been involved a previous accident and was properly repaired with a rebuilt title. The CarFax report includes a deduction value for a vehicle with a rebuilt title. “i was looking for a ford explorer for this winter. a used car dealer in the area tried to give me the wrong vin by only 1 digit. carfax came back with the right vin and news that this particular vehicle had an unsavory past, saving me two grand. thanx, carfax.”
