On Aug 10th we drove an hour and a half to Williamsport to go car shopping for my daughter for her 16th birthday. The first place we stopped at was Nissan Blaise Alexander, the salesman came out right away, and then a 2nd and 3rd time. Then we found a Hyundai Kona the color my daughter was looking for, beside it sat a Forrest Green Nissan ( remember this the green Nissan). We looked at and test drove one the day before back home the same miles. Except the one near home was loaded with moon roof, apple charge and more options but the color was black and they were asking the same price for a base model with about 500 more miles. After about 15 mins talking to my daughter she said she liked it better, so I said we'd talk numbers. The salesman said he would have them pull it around and clean it, I said ya you thought they would have done a better job before putting it on your lot. So I offered cash for my offer price, they said no because I'm not taking out a loan. Then the manger said the only way we can even give you $500 off the car is if you take a loan out. I said I know how it works, I take a loan and your company gets a kick back off my loan so you force people to use your loan company. I've been around the business most of my life, you always have top end and mark up on all vehicles. Told them if you can't get it below $22k your wasting my time. The manger came back and agreed on my terms, and did a 6 month loan . They did the loan, we kept getting bounced between 3 different offices 3 hrs later they stated they were still waiting on the authorization of the loan. That was a lie, I got confirmation 10 min after they filed for loan, the salesman kept walking off talking to other customers, disappearing for 20 mins. Remember that green Nissan truck, they showed hr after us test drove the truck, and I saw them putting tags on the truck and I walked out and talked to them. They showed up and he was after us and they were leaving at this point I was about to leave. Then he said paperwork was done, 30 min later he still didn't return, I see him out there talking to other customers. I walked and stated right in front of everyone I didn't sign the papers yet I can just walk out here. Then he disappeared again. Then came in with paperwork and video, then disappeared again for 20min. My nephew was there with his wife and daughter who works at Subaru Alexander she even stated it never takes this long. During the finishing of paperwork, they failed to tell me about the cars factory warranty before they sold me another warranty. This is just plan dishonesty to me. After 3.5 hrs finally getting the car, the salesman lied it was never cleaned again. The manager has an attitude, lack of customer service, and they honestly don't care about customers. So on Aug 10th we came home and had to clean a car but don't worry I took pictures of how your dealership is for my own records. I won't buy another vehicle from any Blaise Alexander/ or Aubrey Alexander car dealership ever again

The report was great. Extensively detailed. Only problem i have is it won't print. And the whole reason i got it was for the DMV and they need a hard copy. Therefore i can't recommend these services

The dealer supplied a CARFAX, but I bought one of my own. The report said my car was pristine. Over the next few weeks, starting on the drive home, I uncovered a steady trail of evidence my car had been wrecked. A little over $2000 in repair and replacements later, my car is now in pretty good shape. CARFAX is to be believed with a great deal of caution. To be fair, the former owner never reported an incident, and got some cheap cosmetic repairs to make the car presentable, avoiding a damaging CARFAX report.

Now that you asked. At about 2010 I bought a 2007 Mustang GT and depended on your services. I would like to grade CARFAX acceptable but because of my experience I can't. I assume your company only look at collision damages and depend on police reports of mishaps. After my extra warranty run out unfortunately something broke. I am not talking bout normal wear and tear on my time of ownership. It cost me about $600 to get fixed and replaced. The driver electric seat gave up. Later on finding out it has been gutted and jury rigged I would say to last long enough to get out of the lot. If customers like me are costing too much in their pockets for repair, your services were not thorough and I have a lesson learned: Not to depend on your services too much. When I got my recent 2018 F-150, I did not expect CARFAX for the interior. I am just hoping everything will be good. Little things breaking but it cost customers too much $. Because CARFAX failed to point it out the little things.

I traded my car to a dealership that said it needed a new transmission. After several months I ran a car fax and it reported brake work done on the rear wheels. How can I know if the dealer did the transmission work or not? Sounds like I will never know and I have been Taken.

I've used CARFAX before with very good results. However this time I specifically paid the $40 for a report to get the local retail value of a Motorhome. The report had 4 references to work done to it, and no price estimate. I was disappointed.

Expensive and vague. It seems like a bunch of hype and salesmanship. Got some info from it but please cut the bluster...I won’t use car fax again.

While the amount of information is helpful in determining whether a vehicle is a good buy or not, I do not feel the limited access time to the Carfax report is a good value.

The carfax I received for the 2010 Ram 1500 I bought was incorrect. It stated a minor no damage accident and there was some major damage. The vehicle was struck from behind hard enough to cause damage to the cab of the truck. I have filed a complaint against this but have not had any rely

I tried Carfax with a special offer a year ago, then was charged more. Had to call and have it cleared up to get the offer. Not quite a bait and switch but close. In this age your service seems , carafax is offering minimal info. You probably need to up your game.I buy cars off Copart"Auto Check" is doing the same product. You seem no better. People use to think Carfax meant some security, sellers have figured out how to get around a Carfax. Unless you can figure out how to give more, I'm think you guys are going to fade away. I'm an old boomer, and I don't mean to sound cranky. I have a business and would rather hear an honest opinion, than just gratuitous " at a boy". Hope to see you guys on the flip side of Covid.

DAMAGE TO VEHICLE WAS INSIGNIFICANT BUT INCIDENT APPEARING ON CARFAX REPORT CAUSED INSTANT 40% REDUCTION IN FAIR MARKET VALUE.

I bought a car in 2012 that showed no accidents or salvage. I ran one last month that shows the car was totaled 8 months before I bought it. The car has 6000 miles on it when I bought it from a Rockford dealer. Emmett Porter

Your CARFAX was WRONG- the vehicle WAS NOT a total loss- it was insurance claim paid. This fact can be proven through the state of Wisconsin DMV. Your misleading FAX is making this car worthless. I think you should correct your FAX, and pay me for the damages your WRONG FAX is causing me.

Your service lacks an ability for a person to account for improvements made to a vehicle. Example, a stock Jeep Wrangler is worth a stock price, I agree. But If I am holding receipts for professionally installed complete suspension lifts, custom front and back bumpers, winch, 283.00 custom 20 inch wide wheels and then new 305 oversized off road tires, LED lights, Computer performance enhancements...we get nothing. That allows buyers to take advantage of sellers with beautifully set up Jeeps..That are in demand.
