“Design is beautiful. Was disappointed the legs were lots of pieces of wood glued together . Hoping once they’re stained you will not be able to tell as much.”
“Hudson frame was OK quality. Some of the holes weren’t drilled completely through. The hardware would bind on occasion and start to strip the threads. It’s sufficient if you’re looking for a cheaper frame. I’m sure the more expensive ones are higher quality, hopefully.”
“Legs were beautiful but too large for my project , tried to return and only got a reply if they were damaged and after I answered , no more reply’s so kinda got stuck with them”
“Five pieces of the bed frame were damaged. What does that say to you? On the other hand, I contacted the company by complaining on their website. Hunter and his brother both got back to me. After expressing my great displeasure with overall quality control, Hunter wanted to try and help. I suggested I put a headboard on the bed, which I did not do the first time around. He obliged and did not charge me. I leave it at that.”
“Product was good but paid for expedited shipping (3-5 business days) and it took more than 20 days (16+ business days) Maybe something the business needs to review in order to make it more realistic for expectations.”
“Mixed review on this bed. Built well. Wood is sturdy and instructions are great. Easy to put together. Would recommend a support piece(s) on beds larger than queen. Biggest complaint, severe discoloration of the wood. Unsure why a company would choose to send wood that is normal poplar color for almost all pieces but send a discolored headboard piece. Very noticeable. Wanted to leave natural but will now have to stain a very dark color to hide this. Additionally bed already started to make noise. Hoping to tighten again ( recommend in 30 days, but so severe needed done in 2 weeks). I hope the company takes these reviews and continues to improve.”
“Recently purchased Hudson full size (oak) platform bed. It is very sturdy and I love the smell of the wood. I would have rated the bed 5 stars but for these shortcomings. All four connector slats were milled properly on one side but not on the other side. I had to drill out the other ends so the bolts and cross dowels would fit. Two inch screws were difficult to set into the headboard and footboard due to angle of screw slot. Some of the screw heads stripped due to the hardness of the oak. A pilot hole for each screw would help. Other then these issues I thought the bed was worth the money. Paul G.”
“I wish I would've known I'd need a pressure drill or whatever it's called. I started setting it up to surprise my 2 year old the next day and realized a screw driver wasn't going to cut it or the pressure screwdriver that I had. A couple of the holes in the backboard I was unable to completely screw in so it is what it is. Other than that, it is a nice basic bedframe for a little boys room, what I was looking for.”
“Wood is nice, installation was relatively easy. But the bed squeaks when you roll over which is disappointing. Slats for bed support do not all fit tightly and have 1/4- 1/2” space where they set in. Probably going too have to put additional screws to tighten it up”
