Awful customer service!! I've been waiting for a bloody refund since December, they keep telling me it's been processed, when I get back to them saying I have not received anything, their answer is that they are looking into it and I should allow 3-5 working days...it's been 2 months ago and still nothing. Frustrating and appalling!

Worst customer service experience I have ever had! I ordered a new Samsung Galaxy S21FE which was advertised as minimum £150 cashback when you trade in ANY smartphone in ANY condition. I checked with staff in-store at Currys in Bolton before I ordered and confirmed I would get at least £150 for my current smartphone (Sony Xperia 5 ii). After placing the order, I called customer services (which takes approximately 40 minutes to get through), only to be told they couldn't process the trade in as my phone make and model wasn't listed. They advised I would need to visit the store to process the trade in. On visiting the store, they advised the ANY make/ model trade in offer doesn't actually include my Sony Xperia phone and I would need to contact customer services to cancel. Customer services have refused to cancel the order, as the new phone has already been dispatched to Currys in Bolton. They expect me to collect the phone from the store and return it to them at my own expense which I naturally refused to do. The CS team then transferred me to the sales team and said Sales would be able to cancel the order and arrange collection of the phone (more hold time). Sam in the sales team spoke to his 'manager' and said I needed to leave the phone without collecting it at the Bolton store and the order would be cancelled automatically after 14 days, which (conveniently), is the same length of time as the cooling off period so again I declined. Sam then agreed he would arrange with the customer services team to have the phone collected from the Bolton store before putting me on hold. After another lengthy hold time, I was blind transferred back to the customer services team. I then asked to speak with a manager and was put through to the sales team manager, Jason who agreed that the situation was ridiculous and promised he would speak with customer services personally to arrange the order cancellation. Again, I was placed on hold and got transferred back to the CS team, and the call was cut off - I received no call back despite them having my mobile number on file. I called back AGAIN, spoke with an agent named Ijaz and asked to speak with the sales team manager Jason. Ijaz refused to transfer me to any manager and said he would arrange a callback which of course, I never received. After spending several infuriating hours on the phone with these disgraceful time-wasters, I have still been unable to cancel the order and will now have to waste even more time going back into the store to return the item at my own expense. From the other reviews on Truspilot, it appears the Carphone Warehouse business model is to advertise fake offers and then rely on a literally useless customer service team to ensure that customers are unable to cancel before the end of their 14 day cancellation period. Absolutely appalling!!

Sales call from you from your India call centre and when I start asking for my details to be removed you hang up on me straight away. Such a rude company!! Our company will never do business with an unprofessional company like carphone warehouse!

Do not use this company Sold a mobile phone to an elderly lady in her 70,s that she could couldn't use and was told to practice aft home Could not get to grips with it at home so took it back 2 days later for refund or credit note They phoned head office who refused to do either as they had changed the policey on returns last week Sales lad advised that it was an elderly lady to which he was told tuff the police had changed Hence very upset pensioner mother in law Never use again and inlaw out of pocket 220.00 shocking

I've had two phones from carphone warehouse that are utterly disappointing Slow, to the point of useless, riddled with virus, and a complete waste of time. I would not recommend them, nor will I buy any further product from this useless compan

Seemed to have a fine experience 2 years ago when taking out my phone contract...however i am so disappointed with the service when trying to upgrade. have spent all day trying to upgrade my phone, but the website keeps crashing everytime i try to place the order! tried different laptops, different browsers etc and the website just doesnt work! so i keep trying to place my order.... then i get a text saying my order has been placed (an hour ago?) but i cannot see what ive ordered... im not sure if ive ordered the phone or just the charger? there is absolutely nowhere i can see this either. Im now getting texts that my order is still in the basket, so absolutely no idea what is going on! No answer on the livechat, and have been on the phone for ages now and cant get through, which is funny given the amount of calls i get from this company! Have to wait and see tomorrow if ive ordered the phone or not (if it comes at all), part of me hopes i havent actually ordered the phone so i can just cancel my contract altogether! such a shame as 2 years ago i had a good experience, now i literally cannot seem to contact anyone!!!

I would give zero if I could. Reading gate store sent my phone to be repaired and it took three weeks. The worst bit is, they refused to repair it due to “water damage” even though it has not got wet and only 3 months old! But here’s the best part.. when they handed the phone back to me, there are two large cracks in each corner which were absolutely not there when I handed it to them. The response? A shrug of the shoulders and told to email customer service! Really? So customer service was called and after waiting 40 minutes to get through I’m told that they can’t do anything and it’s a store issue. So I go back to the store and guess what? Told “sorry nothing we can do, call customer services. So at this point I’m raging. I’m paying £30 a month for a phone which was NOT water damaged but damaged by car phone warehouse, obviously when they opened it up and they are claiming that the water damage is due to the crack which was not there when I handed it over. The store won’t do anything they have a don’t give a **** attitude. So I’m now stuck in a two year contract with a phone which is fit for the bin. Never ever again will I use carphone warehouse. I’m now having to go to trading standards. The stress this has caused me is crazy, awful way to treat customers!!!

Was cold called by a sales representative and I politely declined the offers presented said that I’m happy with my current contract … to which I was told to “F*ck off and stop wasting my time” … WTF they called me, how rude!

If I could give zero I would - I have NEVER bought a single item from your company but somehow you have mine and my wife’s phone number and you keep cold calling us - take this as notice if it happens again I will be contacting my solicitor to start proceedings for harassment- LEAVE ME ALONE

Trade in my old Samsung A70 for new s22 ultra..There was a bonus also of 200 for trading in.They email me that instead of 70£ my phone worth only 20.I said if 50£ make them happy is ok just send me the money....But insted of send me the money they send me the phone back.With other words they just trick people with their bonus but they just looking for reasons to send back ur phone.SCAMERS....Last time when i use Carphonewarehouse..NOW i have back 2 phones.I emailed back 3 times that i dont want my phone back i want my money for trade in ...but NO...The SCAMERS send back my phone AVOID ... CARPHONEWAREHOUSE.COM BIGGG SCAMERS

Would be nice to actually get through to a member of the customer service team, have been trying the customer service number for days. Average time it takes you to get to a call is 40 minutes 😲 I was on hold on Monday for over 1 hour and I gave up. Yesterday I spoke to a colleague who promised to called me back and she didn't. After another 40 minute wait in the Queue I got put on the call to someone who cannot help me as she only started last week Tuesday with no training and doesn't know how to work the systems. Left my previous network provider for an early termination of £150 to join a new contract on the Samsung S22 and due to a faulty phone which is in the process of being exchanged. Delivery date was confirmed, gone to collect & been told its still in fulfilment. I am now left with paying for a contract on a phone I don't have & I have not been given a date to collect my new phone. The worst customer service experience ever. I use to work for Carphone Warehouse and I cannot believe how bad the customer service has gone.

Ordered a phone online with ID mobile and a google pixel 6. The phone arrived in time but the coverage was appalling despite reassurance to the contrary. Tried to return as in 14 day cooling off period - Would not accept return in store despite website stating that it can be returned in store. I was told I could not cancel contract within 5 days - So really it is a 6 - 14 day return then isn't it? I called customer services and clearly cancelled - Asked for confirmation email - Not received. Sent address from unknown email where to send £600 phone - Then I have to send proof of postage to ANOTHER address to get postage refunded. I am really not convinced this refund will arrive! Hard to find an email address for them anywhere to document conversations in writing. Was given address to send phone back to - Told I have to use Royal Mail despite earlier suggestions that DPD could be used. Just a total mess. Really bad feelings about this outfit and the direction it is taking. Avoid at all costs.

Bought online to be delivered to currys nearby.... changed mind..process to get money back... HORRENDOUS!!..phone helpline says one thing and store ppl different.. explain with all u got but they'll tire u down to get ur cash.. DON'T give up...I will not stop..lesson learned.. Never trust mergers, 2 monsters, more shareholders , cheap and nasty practices combined and lesser service.. ..Go to AO, Argos etc.theyre friendly and more "familiar"..

Would NEVER use them again! Online order kept crashing, found out in the morning the order had actually placed and told it would be delivered the next day. Delivery did not come and could not get assistance from any staff. Phone number kept cutting off before I got to speak to someone (tried over 100times). Finally did speak to someone who could not help, but just logged an internal complaint. Customer service is the worst I have experienced. Happy to take your money but not so fussed about helping their customers.

Appaulling service, i bought a Motorola Edge 20 from them. little did i know that this particula phone has issues with google play store. Upon trying to return it i've been sent around in circles, their customer service call center is based in India and the communication is very poor, even the store wouldn't take the phone. I've had to return it at my own expense avoid this company.

Completely useless company. I SHOULD have known better They are they same people that used to be talk talk. This lot can't speak English. So straight away you can bet that your order will be wrong or a the very least mis sold. Then when you cancel within the 14 days you will get the run around. The staff at the store (Brixton and old Kent Road) are lazy dont listen and will try to sell you a tariff that is worst than going directly to the carrier. They are middle men and have absolutely no usefulness what so ever. I ordered a upgrade to a sim only contract. They sent the wrong phone and charged me more on the tariff which gave me less data per month. Then had the front after I sent it all back to phone the following week to ask if I would like another upgrade. My advise is never use them for anything. They clearly hire imbosiles to sell phones and contracts because none of them can read a simple contract. None understand consumer law or even customer service. Its clear that they like talk talk are only interested in getting people to sign up to a 2 year contract. That's how they make money. SO DON'T, go instead to the carrier and get a better deal. Carphone warehouse have never been good even when they had their own store and were not working from inside Curry PC World. If currys PC World are smart they would remove carphone warehouse from their stores before the reviews also affect people their sales and the public visiting their place of business.
