Booked and paid upfront an airport transfer , after 12 hrs of travel no one showed up to pick me up. No answer on the phone numbers given in case of issues … ended up waiting 1,5 hrs and eventually having to take a taxi at double the price I paid already to CarTrawler… trying to reach them is a complete nightmare.. after 25 days and sending all proof of me calling the numbers given multiple times, still no reaction. I really think they hope clients just give up after a while and are not willing to pay any refunds.. worst service ever

Highly disappointed that anyone would provide a service from a known scam company. Booked a car through CarTrawler from NU car rental Miami. Worst experience ever. Our flight was slightly delayed and when we got to Miami there was no shuttle to the rental agency. No problem, we can take a taxi but then we were informed the office was closed. We canceled our rental and asked for a refund which was denied because we failed to pick up our car. We have NEVER had this issue dealing with a reputable company. After reading reviews NU car rentals will use any excuse to take your money for no services rendered. Shame on you CarTrawler for not looking into the companies you book through and shame on us for trusting you.

Worst possible customer service you can imagine. They hide behind emails and there is no way to get in touch with them otherwise. I received my car 4 days late and they have still not reimbursed me for the extra amount charged despite following up with them for over 3 months

Given my flight number and that it arrived 3 hours after the pick up time, they cancelled my rental and did not refund the $300 I spent. Do not recommend

Absolutely terrible company. Please do not book anything with them. Their refund policy is atrocious, see for yourself. Do not be fooled if they offer $10 less than Priceline/Expedia/Etc. Save yourself a lot of hassle and headache that comes with dealing with cartrawler. Properly canceled reservations take over a month to give you a refund, why? I was refused a car for pick up because I had a temporary ID from a state that I recently moved to. Cartrawler would not issue a refund even though their terms say that a valid temporary ID is acceptable and they marked me as a "no-show" even though I was physically at the car rental place and denied a vehicle.

Criminal enterprise. They steal all refund from the car hire companies if you need to return the car earlier than booking says. I got confirmed that the refund was paid out to them but they reguse and say it is in their T&C. This info is not included in the booking or on their sites - only found under their FAQ ... if you look well as it is well hidden. Always book directly with the rental company, avoid scammers like Cartrawler!

Do not buy from Cartrawler, the worst experience I’ve ever came across. Scam and full of lies. You hire a car from them but they give you wrong instructions. I’ve ended up losing my many and I didn’t receive the car I hired from them. It’s been 2 months and I can not even get my money. Total scam please stay away!

We rented a car at Sixt from bookingautos.com (a subsidiary of CarTrawler). When we got to Sixt they didn't have a car available so we called bookingautos.com to get our 400 Euros returned. They said no and kept the money!! What a completely criminal organization!!!

Cartrawler doesn't care about anyone affected by the COVID epidemic. Cartrawler refused to refund the amount I prepaid to rent a car for a trip that had to be cancelled because of the virus and our state's stay at home order. The amount was only $200 or so -- nothing to Cartrawler -- but they care so little about people, so little about their customers, they flat-out refused to consider that we had no control over the epidemic and our inability to utilize the services we paid for -- services that were not provided, of course, so Cartrawler kept that money and in turn provided NOTHING to me and my family. Complete and utter rubbish -- that's what Cartrawler's reputation is as far as car rental companies go. The absolute worst.

Before COVID-19 I used Cartrawler for all of my rental car bookings (up to 4 different bookings a month on occasions). After COVID-19 is over, I will NEVER use them again. All over promised refund of $72.

Record go was the hire car that came from Cartrawler search via ryanair. Absolute disgrace. They said I clocked up 666km! If I did 66 it would be on the topside. They have charged me £134 excess mileage. They will not back down. BE WARNED. SCAMMERS. THIEVES. LIARS.

Untrustworthy company, hired a car for nine days, at a quoted price of £187.35 through CarTrawler which included comprehensive insurance. Charged a total of £405.93 as Firefly who provided the car also charged me for the hire and additional insurance. A complete scam

I recently booked a car trough the CarTrawler service for Teneriffe. But before I arrive I found out that the T&C were not OK for me so I took advantage of the free cancellation policy that CarTrawler offers and booked with another company with better T&Cs. Later, my flight got moved to an earlier hour so I contacted CarTrawler and informed them about the change of schedule. Everything seemed ok until I arrived at the airport and wanted to pick up my car. It turns out, they didnt change my pick-up time, instead the support only 'noted' it, whatever that means. So I called them and said I want to cancel my reservation, because waiting for 8 hours at the airport to pick-up my car was not an option. I was ensured that this is OK and my reservation will be canceled. Now, after the fact, I see that no money has been returned to my account, not for the first cancalation (bad T&Cs) not for the second one. So yeah, it is a scam and a good idea only for anyone that wants to bleed money to these MFs.

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! I WAS ROBBED!! This company refused to let me speak to a supervisor or a manager giving me the run around for 30 min when canceling my rental car. They charged me for 4 days rental with without ever taking the car!!! I booked the car at 12pm for a 3pm pick up. At 2:45 I was given the run around through the original 3rd party website “JustFly” trying to cancel while I was at the rental car company physically. By the time they transferred me to 3 different people and finally getting me over to “Cartrawler”, the rep said it was too late for me to cancel and no refund is available! I asked to speak to someone who can help me she insisted I call back in an hour or to wait an hour. No one from management returned my call. This is ridiculous!! I will continue to speak out on this on any review website I can until I am properly addressed! “JustFly” and “Cartrawler” will not get away with this!!! Let’s see if getting over on one customer is worth the loss of a good business practice reputation..... very disappointed in my experience.. plus the rental car company was supposed to be at the airport in Miami, however, it was in some back alley in a sketchy trailer... the whole experience was very bad... ok to google, yelp, and any other review site I can find... I gave “Cartrawler a whole week to get back to me.. they did not. Do better!!

Be aware of them. I booked through mexican airline website Vivaerobus. When we arrived to Monterrey Mexico, there was NO CAR and nobody there, tried to contact them for 4 hours but nobody answer calls and messages. They charged me $50 USD and did not provide the service. We had to rent another car at Enterprise for 30 USD. Still trying to get my money back after 25 days. Their website does not show contact options maybe because they are a ripoff Very hard to get a response of them, they asked me to send them lot of personal documents, the airline says they can not do anything, call the bank and tried to get a refund but is not possible.
