“I never leave reviews. But this one has been far above the already high expectations I had for the chessup 2 board. Online games otb are super smooth and no issues at all, only pleasure. Also introducing chess to our kids (3 & 5 years old) has gone to another level. I don’t have to force myself to make bad moves, I just set the appropriate level of bot and set the kids assistance to the minimum level where its still enjoyable and everyone has a great time. And they keep coming back for more.”

“Love my ChessUp smart board! It makes learning chess so much fun! My king piece is not working properly. It was not recognizing the king was on the board. I emailed the support team about my issue. They replied to my email within a couple of hours! They are sending me a new piece "FOR FREE"! They also sent me to a part of their website where a can obtain spair pairs if needed, or want. Bryght as a company is very professional and efficient! I would highly recommend Them to anyone interested in chess.”

“Although the initial board i received was dysfunctional, Bryght Labs was quick to respond and provide assistance with troubleshooting. Once it was deemed the board needed replaced, a replacement was confirmed and ready to be shipped overseas before i could even reply with a thank you! Great work guys, much appreciated.”

“I just bought it for a week but I love this game. It is so great that I can't stop playing until night. I will practice with my son regularly and it won't hurt my son's eyes like tablets and smartphones. Thank chessup”

“From the beginning to the end service was perfect. Ordered on website and since then received updates on my delivery till it was delivered .Perfect. Was looking for something like this for a while. Chess up 2 was the best option for quality and price. Once received, I wasn’t disappointed. Set it up and off I went😂. Easy to use and fun to play. My 6 year old boy wasn’t much interested in chess but since this he is playing every day few times. I can say so much but it’s just perfect. Thank you 🙏”

“For new purchasers, BEWARE - ‘The Easy 30 Day Refund Policy’, which has not been honored in my case (based in UK). I made payment by Visa Debit, and the item was delivered fine. Unfortunetly it was a gift and I needed to make a return. I had a quick response to my enquiry 07.01.25 and was e-mailed the returns label confirming refund 1-2 business days after receipt. The receipt of the returned item (sent to the Netherlands) was confirmed 10.01.25, and that refund credit would be received within 14 days. On 24.01.25 the refund has still not been received, and Bryghtlabs are not responding to my messages. So now I do not have an item and have lost my payment.”

“The Support of Chess Up is the worst ive ever seen. The new chessboard is not working - none of the required chargers are working & the system is shutting down even during games. 3 Emails later the support still isnt able to reply - this company isnt a serious one!”

“Maybe my posting will help potential customers. I have tried to contact this company for nearly two months via emails and phone calls to no avail. I could understand waiting several weeks but not months. How can a company be trusted to provide customer support after purchase if they won't respond before purchase? Although I read reviews posted here that seem real, maybe they are fake. No one other than them can ever know for sure. As for me, I find them suspicious. The product seems really cool but no one at the company will take the time to respond. I hope customers get their expectations filled. I wanted to be one of you. As for everyone else, be warned that you might find yourself without help after purchase.”

“At first didn't recognize a rook, but was able to get a replacement within two days. Great customer service. Great board. Everyone in the house loves playing against each other and against the bots and using chess.com. This has made chess accessible for the whole family ages 9-43. Thank you chess up!”

“the chessup 2 board is totaly cool, with cool features and it shuld come with lessons(even though i did not see them in the app, if someone know what is the problem pls tell me) and game review but when i bought it and installed the app, i saw that almost every feature that on the board is free in the app, and only 2 player mode unlocked with the board. it means i paid 300 dollars for only playing on a real board, cuz the game assistance included in the free app so yea... the build in wifi and screen is cool, but the price is not great and this is why 4 stars.”

“When setting up the pieces, the board lights up like a Christmas tree. It has a hard time knowing if the piece is there or not, and flashes even though the piece is on the square. Some pieces/spaces detect better than others but it’s hard playing a game of chess when the board is flashing rapidly.”

“Just received my Chessup 2 board in the Netherlands, shipping was very fast. The board and pieces are packed looking very premium. Charged the board and wifi installation was a piece of cake with the app alongside. Played a few matches with the ai and so far loving it. Board is very responsive and pieces are of good quality.It all works very intuitive and im looking forward to playing some games online. No regrets for getting myself this christmas gift :)”

“My Kickstarter ChessUp 2 Arrived In Melbourne, Victoria, Australia this morning. After an afternoon of mucking around I finally worked out the connectivity, I blame my 65 years. I love this board and I’ll never play 2D again ! I would recommend a smart board to anybody. Congratulations Bryght Labs.”
