About Chilton Furniture:

Chilton is a family-owned, Maine company dedicated to selling fine, wood furniture, all American-made. We are known for our Shaker-inspired designs, and also feature Arts & Crafts, modern and cottage style pieces in solid cherry, maple, ash, walnut, and quarter-sawn oak. We are also known for the quality craftsmanship of our custom work. Many of our pieces can be custom built to your specifications.

Much of our furniture is handcrafted in small Maine workshops, and we also work with boutique craftsmen in New Hampshire, Vermont and the Midwest, many of whom have been partners for decades. All of these cabinetmakers have a Shaker-like dedication to workmanship, function, and simplicity of line and form. All of Chilton’s pieces are built to our high standards, and a growing number are original, proprietary designs.

“We have been buying furniture from Chilton since we moved to Maine almost twenty years ago. Every piece we have bought from there is still in excellent condition. We recently purchased a cherry dresser from Chilton's -- the craftsmanship is first-class, the customer service was wonderful, and they delivered the piece up our narrow Cape stairs without a hitch. I expect it will be in the family for many years to come.”

“The desk and lateral file cabinet are beautiful. Nicely made and the finish is good. Will buy again from Chilton. The delivery was really "white glove". The gentlemen delivering the furniture were polite and careful and arrived when they said they would. All around very happy with the experience.”

“Very pleasant experience from the time spent in the showroom to delivery of my furniture. Staff was very knowledgeable and accommodating. I was kept informed when my order was delayed because of covid. Once the order was delivered and I saw an issue with the size of the hardware used on the doors of my side table it was replaced, with no hesitation, with a new one that had more efficient hardware. When the new table was delivered and they brought the wrong table, Wanda saw to it that the correct table was delivered by the end of the same day. That is what I call good customer service. I will not hesitate to do business with Chilton again.”

“Really like the Nautilus chair in walnut with charcoal cushions. A bit more pricey than others similar to, but perfect in my space. I think that an ottoman of similar scale, materials, would be welcomed. Excellent service. Thank you Chilton”

“The furniture perfectly fits our space. The furniture is crafted beautifully with a lovely finish, and we are very happy with our purchase. One of our favorite things are the easy glide/silent closures on the drawers. The staff at Chilton was easy to work with. The furniture delivery happened faster than we anticipated, and the delivery company was professional and easy to work with.”

“As a longtime collector of Chilton Furniture, I simply have no complaints. Whether ordered from the showroom floor, the catalogue, or something custom, it's always delivered as promised.
