About Chilton Furniture:

Chilton is a family-owned, Maine company dedicated to selling fine, wood furniture, all American-made. We are known for our Shaker-inspired designs, and also feature Arts & Crafts, modern and cottage style pieces in solid cherry, maple, ash, walnut, and quarter-sawn oak. We are also known for the quality craftsmanship of our custom work. Many of our pieces can be custom built to your specifications.

Much of our furniture is handcrafted in small Maine workshops, and we also work with boutique craftsmen in New Hampshire, Vermont and the Midwest, many of whom have been partners for decades. All of these cabinetmakers have a Shaker-like dedication to workmanship, function, and simplicity of line and form. All of Chilton’s pieces are built to our high standards, and a growing number are original, proprietary designs.

“The product is beautiful. Although I have just noticed that there is a piece of the veneer chipped off the cabinet at the bottom on the side. I had not noticed it when I received it. The product is well made, very functional and overall quality very good.”

“Chilton has consistently made us happy, with their always helpful and cheerful attitude, both with major furniture purchases that will serve our family well beyond our lifetimes, and with small but beautifully crafted items such as the ikebana pot on a simple cherry base, which even now is gracing my table with a single sesangua camellia branch with one perfect blossom and glossy leaves. I also gave one to a dear friend who adores it. We love any excuse to visit Chilton.”

“We bought our new table and chairs for our dining room from Chilton Furniture. The experience from start to finish was wonderful. The service team was incredibly helpful with helping us decide on the size and design; the quality of the furniture is beyond our expectations. “This table is simply stunning. The wood is beautiful and the superior craftsmanship is very evident. This was a replacement for a table that was destroyed during a move. Pennsylvania House made my previous table and they are no longer in business. Trying to find a close match I turned to Chilton. Not only was this table less expensive than what I paid in 2000 but is of better quality. The 2 leaves make this table large enough to seat 10 comfortably (wish Chilton made a folding parson chair, hint, hint). The legs are solid, you get the benefits of a pedestal with the visual appeal of 4 legs. The tabletop is smooth, beautiful and substantial. Gorgeous! I bought 6 other pieces (corner cabinet, 2 night stands, 2 step stools and a phone table) this go around. I have a list ready for the next sale. I dreaded moving but am having so much decorating my "new" home (built in 1930). I'll write reviews for each piece I purchased but they are all 5, very well deserved, stars!”

“You'd think this was just a simply 2 drawer desk, but my teenage son was actually thrilled to receive it! The wood grains match perfectly along the front with the drawers. I have another one of these desks elsewhere in my house so I know it will age beautifully.”

“Dear Chilton Furniture, Chip and I can not thank you enough for our beautiful dinning room table and 8 chairs made of cherry wood. You were correct! The cherry wood has darkened and matches our kitchen cabinets perfectly. The chairs are so comfortable and we are both glad we did not purchase the armed chairs for the end of the tables. The armless chairs are pecfect for our needs. We would still like to purchase more furniture and we are saving for just that. We would not dream of going somewhere different. Chilton has the quality furniture we were looking for the AND great customer service! We will be back for more.”
