“Great class, fun atmosphere and good instruction. We really appreciated how the instructor went around the room and checked in with everyone personally; give advice, tips, tricks, etc.”
“I missed the whole thing— I didn’t pay attention to Eastern time zone and assumed it was done by a local, but that’s my bad. The kit came early and it looks fun! All the communication was accurate. I’ll have to YouTube a tutorial:)”
“The instructor was dealing with 3 different workshops at one time. She only instructed us less than 5 mins on how to rug tuft and left us on our own. I would like to say I’m on the creative side so I learned fast. As for my friend who is not creative struggled and I helped her most of the time. I think the instructor should have made sure each student was okay and give tips and tricks or even watched the student do some lines to make sure it was done correctly. But overall it was fun experience, would do it again with another workshop company.”
“No introduction at the beginning of the class. Two people, a male and female, were working but no one was actually in charge of the class. The woman, who I am assuming was the owner, was curt and rude whenever anyone asked a question. At one point, when I went to help my friend, she literally swatted my hand away! This was a beginner stain glass class but she acted as if we were stupid about the process. When I stated the foil wasn’t sticking to the glass, I was told “do better”. Finally, enough of us complained that she replaced the foil with another brand. There were only 4 solder irons to use for the entire group of 12. A lot of standing around waiting with no option in the class to sit. For 4 hours.
We won’t be back! Very rude and condescending!”
“I did this workshop in a group of six. It was super fun and we all got really into it. I wish there had been more instruction, however. We were kind of figuring it out ourselves. It would have been hugely helpful to have someone show us some trips and tricks right in the beginning.”
“Great fun with friends! Totally worth it. Fabulous vibes in the studio, plenty of crafting resources and materials, and the teacher was available to help us trouble shoot when we ran into any issues with materials. Highly recommend.”
“We super enjoyed the candle making class at The Shabby Wick in Dripping Springs. The teacher, Micky has an adorable shop and took lots of time teaching us the art and science of candle making. We had a lovely day and will return with other friends!”
