They cold called me. most lose interest in me when I say I will pay nothing upfront but if you can reduce my rates I will pay 50% as one off Commision on the yearly saved amount. The Clements agency agent Syreeta McQueen said fine but she asked me if I would pay postage, I did . I appointed them on VOA website as my agent . they submitted an appeal ( which took them all of 5 minutes. ) they then hassled me to pay £800 towards further action since VOA acknowledged the appeal. I had not signed their contract on pdf since the conditions I stipulated where not there. We tooed and froed on the phone and email without resolution. Next thing I get hit with SMALL CLAIMS COURT paperwork. they were taking me to court for non payment of money. I took them on and put together my case and on the day, they did not turn up. judge dismissed the case on the basis there was no contract signed and there was no case to answer. I bet they would have used the £5.99 payment as deposit argument to say technically there was a contract .
I was wise to make a bank transfer of 5.99 rather give them my card details so they not could withdraw any money . there are tons of blogs on the net with similar stories. I also think the 5* reviews are mostly fake.
If you have not signed any contracts take them on if they threaten to take you to court. they have no case its all empty threats.”

All the reviewers are true, they use bullying tactics to get you to send your business details across and should you wish to cease business with them after an initial £5.99 they threaten to take you to court. Please avoid at all cost. As noted below you can appeal your business rates with the VOA yourself. it is quick and easy to do. Clementsagency should be shut down.”
“SCAMMERS!!!!! Paid £5.99 to start the process to appeal rates but after reading reviews decided not to proceed. Someone by the name of Bryan then proceeded to threaten us that they will escalate matter. They have bullying tactics which should b reported. Action Fraud, Office of fair trading.
You do not need their help to appeal you can go through the VOA yourselves it is free and the people there are really helpful and will walk you through what you need to do. It takes 12 weeks for them to get back to you so you will need to be patient .”
