“Very disappointed to have to write a negative review but, having so far consumed 2 of the 6 products we bought for Christmas, they were both poor. The smoked streaky bacon was overly smoked, really thick and tough and inedible for one of us. The unsmoked gammon joint had, unexpectedly, no fat on it and having cooked it in exactly the same way we usually do for such a piece of meat, we ended up with very dry and not especially tasty ham. Now somewhat concerned about what the remaining items are going to be like.”

“We had a beef fillet, pigs in blanket and a smoked cooked ham joint which were all absolutely delicious. The beef was lovely. It makes a difference being grass fed and organic”

“I am disappointed with service because my delivery arrived damaged and defrosted and I sent an email concerning this problem on the date of delivery and received no response last week, not even a holding response telling me you would get back to me.”

“Easy to order and delivered on time. The lamb was absolutely delicious - rich and full of flavour. Pigs in blankets were meaty, with a peppery warmth and the bacon around them was thick and tasty. Will definitely order from you again - thank you!”

“OVER THE MOON with our turkey crown for xmas. We cooked to 71C with a thermometer and left to rest for 2 hours. It tasted almost like pork with the crispy skin and fat, and the meat was very moist. We will be ordering again for next christmas.”

“Lovely turkeys. Delivered on time. But I wish you would offer a jointing service. It was a very tiring job jointing, boning and packing three birds for the freezer and I am not skilled at the job. I know you sell joints but I like the whole bird, legs, wings, breasts, giblets and carcass. I freeze the joints for use throughout the year. The carcass makes wonderful stock and the odd bits of meat make rissoles, stews or curries.”

“The roast prime rib was a grest success on Christmas day . l had followed your cooking guidelines fully and the compliments came thick and fast, even before lt came out of the oven, the aromas that filled the house drew comments but then the flavour, the tenderness, excellent. Nota scrap was leftover, more than l can say for the turkey! Thank you, we’ll be back next year for sure.”
