This is about the Coopers of Stortford Door Canopy They have misrepresented the dimensions. I purchased four of these for the area between our kitchen and garage doors. Coopers state that each additional extension adds 1.23 metres. 4 = 4.92 Metres, so I drilled the holes, fitted the four units and the total length is actually 4.75m not 4.92 as claimed. 17 cm short! 6.6 inches. This means that the kitchen door is not covered. I tackled Coopers and they really weren't interested and suggested that I returned them.What good is that when they have already been installed. Ant reputable company would offer a remedy. I suggested that they could send me the materials to extend one by the missing dimension. Not interested. What is more important is that they would not admit the mistake and refused to change the claim in their brochure. So what about other customers who will have been duped? Incompetent and arrogant. Trading standards must be informed.

ordred a luggage set first one went missing in hermes depot and still waiting 2 weeks on for a replacement emailed this company no sorry and still waiting

I have seen some negative reviews of this company, but my own experience has - so far - been positive. I bought a propelling pencil, which turned out to be of better than expected quality and excellent value for the surprisingly low price. It arrived within a few days. An email query about replacement leads received a prompt response. At least they provide an email address for customers to get in touch, unlike some traders!

I ordered by phone an item that I was told is in stock. It is now 10 days later and still no delivery. Although company policy allows up to 28 days for delivery I find it extraordinary that my bank account is still to be debited after this length of time. How can this company expect to compete with online retailers with a much quicker turnaround. Hopefully when this item finally arrives it will have been worth the wait.

Bought a electric knife sharpener and turned up in reasonable time. Went to use the product and what a load of junk. Made the knives worse than better. After a short while the motor slows down and eventually stops. Have contacted coopers twice by e mail to customer services but have had no reply. I am not one to chase them down with phone calls etc...weighing up the cost of product to the time and effort factor, just not worth it. However power of the pen (or in this case e mail) is mightier than the sword. Don't be fooled by the wholesome family business and happy photo of the Coopers personnel on the website. They are selling junk and don't respond to customer complaints. Strong words but I don't like being ignorned when I have a legitimate complaint.

Ordered a chainsaw sharpener which was apparently 'in stock'. Once payment had been taken they told me that it might take up to 28 days to deliver. 10 days after ordering it still hadn't arrived and customer services told me that it wouldn't get delivered for another week. Tried to cancel but they said it was too late and that I would have to wait until it was eventually delivered then ask for a refund. 28 days delivery for an 'in stock' item is a WASTE OF TIME!

I ordered 2 sofa protectors from Coopers. While the quality of the products was ok, do not, I repeat DO NOT purchase these for leather sofas as they are completely unsuitable! They slip down every time you move!! There is no mention of this in the catalogue. I have suggested that this be included in the description. Whether of not this happen remains to be seen..... However, I have to say that there was no problem obtaining my refund. This was processed immediately, so well done Coopers for that!

Purchased a handheld vacum cleaner which caught fire. Had it replaced and the replacement had sparks flying out and then packed up. Coopers refused to replace the second one or give a refund as the warranty had run out. I was more concerned about them taking it out of the catalogue, however, they would not confirm this and they did not offer an apology saying there was nothing they would do to help me. I think it is disgusting that they are selling dangerous products and I will never use Coopers again.

Very disappointed with spin mop and bucket. It doesn't spin the mop as dry as what I was expecting, still have to squeeze the mop out with hand. When I was mopping floor a ball bearing flew out and I've no idea where it came from. I was expecting much more from this mop.

I purchased a solar sensor light from Coopers in June of 2013 and it failed in September of 2014. It was out of their 12 month guarantee but I purchased another in the following month. February 2015 and this one has failed also. I asked for a refund but was told that under the terms of their guarantee they would only issue a replacement. At first I thought I would accept this but 10 days on I am still waiting to hear from them. I have now changed my mind and have demanded a refund as under the trades description act if a product is faulty one is entitled to a full refund. All I get from them though is an automated reply saying that they are experiencing a high level of emails and phone calls. Try to ring customer services and it's constantly engaged. I posted a review on their website a week ago and so far they haven't published it. Seems they only show those that show them in a good light, (no pun on light intended!) I wouldn't but from these people again.

Eight days after placing an order there was no sign of delivery. Contacted the company to be informed there was a stock issue but my order could now be dispatched. Took a further three days to be dispatched and reach me. Whilst my query was dealt with promptly I can’t help but feel it should never have happened in the first place. For the price delivery was very slow compared to other online retailers.

In 2014 I purchased 12 solar lights, no problem with the delivery but the quality was appalling within 3 months of purchase only 2 out of the 12 lights still worked this could have been due to the inadequate waterproofing. My advice save your money.

Ordered a umbrella by one get one free however when I received them one of them was faulty so emailed Coopers to report it 2 days later a replacement was received I would surely recommend this company to anyone. Mrs I Bell Preston lancs.

The delivery took two days once they were sent(over seven days to actually send them) and the stuff I ordered was good and well packaged they would be a good company if they sort the despatch side of the business out.

Bought a combined floor sweeper and steam cleaner. Never worked particularly well and when it went wrong after only a couple of years they weren't remotely interested as it was out of guarantee (you wouldn't get this kind of attitude from Lakeland!) Also bought a ladies' epilator which was a complete waste of time and money. Needless to say, I shan't be using this company again.

We have had many products from Coopers & yes, sometimes have had to wait for goods but appreciate the busy times for the company. No problems so far but would add that we ordered & received two door canopies in green and are so pleased with them wanted to extend and, Coopers no longer do the canopies in green - wonder why!!!

I've been waiting over a week now (as I type this) for Coopers to send stuff I ordered. They've had my money up front already (paid by debit card online). Their website orders page has said 'order being processed' since day 1. I emailed them today asking if they'd noticed I placed an order on their site and their short, curt reply said that they had up to 28 days to fulfill delivery, and that some or all of the bits I've paid for might arrive at different times. No apology from them for such a delay. They use Hermes home delivery, not Royal Mail, so there is absolutely no excuse for holding up ordered goods in this way. If I could find an equivalent trader that sells the kind of stuff we need, and they are able to deliver punctually, I would use them and say good riddance to Coopers.

They are sooooo slow at sending orders it's ridiculous I don't know what is stopping them sending orders maybe they don't hold stock and have to order it in before sending it if this is the case that's really bad business as they don't know their supply needs and don't plan ahead this isn't the 1970s things don't move at a snails pace any more despatch should be the same day or the next not 7+ days and delivery should be anything from 1 to 5 days no more, the fact they charge a flat rate of £4.99 is also bad considering if the item is small it would never cost that much to send unless of course it's a premium delivery ie next day otherwise it's bad value for money. In summary they are either incompetent or aren't bothered about their customers as their whole system is awful even their emails can't be answered quickly they state to allow up to seven days for a response as they are very busy yeah right probably busy answering people asking where the hell is my stuff I won't be buying from them again life's too short to be dealing with bad companies and endless waiting.
