“Not so happy. This is the first Costco review I have ever done. Abot two weeks ago I purchased the Teton grassfed beef hot dogs, $4 off the discount book. Great deal, it comes as 3pks. I never bought these before. Opened one of the 3 and grilled in frying pan 2 of them. I cannot express how disappointed I was, they were as TOUGH as an old pair of shoes. I then cooked the rest of the same bunch, sliced in a soup, thinking it would soften..but it did not change the toughness of the sausage. I had to chew each piece for 10 minutes. This is the Last time I get these for sure. Sticking to Kiebalsa or hot dogs.”
“Couldn't find d prescription glasses frames i liked so I bought new frames and brought to costco. Very disappointed to be told they would not put glass in frames at first because they weren't new then because I didn't buy them at costco. Ten years I've been a member and this is horrible service. It's a glasses shop!!”

She had 3 males helping her, but hey we’re talking about telephone brand name, same as he pictures came out. While there are several items we love at Costco, we will not be renewing our membership next year. At times, the vibe is downright communistic. Certainly anti freedom. For starters, you had better not show up without your card...and it better be YOUR card and not your spouses!!! They will kick you out faster than Joe Biden can say the word "garbage". They will also rescan it and verify the info again when you check out! And HEAVEN FORBID all you have is a Mastercard....because you won't even be able to buy a handshake with it at COMMY-CO!!! Wilson bank check cards need not apply!!! You might as well turn around in the parking lot and head to Sam's instead!! Ashley Dillard Rucker and I have several Mastercard type cards....and only 1 Visa. So at check out she was frantic because i was getting a hot dog and she couldn't find the Visa. I had to be summoned over to pay with mine. HOGWASH!!!!!! Commy-co is NOT worth the hype or the 1.50 hot dog combo to put up with this kind of Red China policy!!! Go to BJs or Sam's instead. BOTH of those places you WILL NOT EVEN BE ASKED for your card until you pay!!!!! And all major cards accepted!!! Commy Costco has us for the year, but after that no more!!! “For me I switched from Sam's because I was told the Costco quality was superior than Sam's. 3 things I don't like with Costco, 1 you are forced to only pay with a Visa card. Be it debit or credit it MUST be visa. 2 they do not price match in store their own products with their own online price. 3 you can't use the app for anything other than look at your purchase history. You can't scan items and pay for a faster checkout process, you can't check if the item is available in store, and the price you see on the app might be different than in store so tough luck buy it in the app and wait for delivery.”
“This summer Costco decided to go to "child proof packaging" on their hearing aid batteries. It a good thing to protect children, yes. Consider this, mostly seniors buy heading aid batteries. The old packaging did not require tools to open. Now your requiring those 60, 70, or 80 year olds to have a pair of scissors available to cut their way into the child proof packaging. Yup, the new package says use scissors to open. Or you could carry loose batteries around in your pocket for your grand kids to find.”
“Dislike the way Costco keeps changing location of items and doing it very often. Today we found out that they have discontinued the double loaf county style bread and replaced it with a single loaf of rustic Italian, find it very dense and not good flavor. The price of the Filipino Berio olive oil jumped to $49.99 and their membership fees have increased too. Definitely dropping the executive membership and will consider doing more shopping at Walmart and Target. Your self check out employees could be more helpful with less attitude !”
“My friend had two tires wear out too soon(2000 miles), at this time no adjustment for the new tires made and at this point not expected. Had to make an appointment for new tires. 11:00 AM. Got there at 10:30 AM. tires completed at 12-1:00PM.!!! What is the purpose of a time frame? I could have gone to an emergency room with a splinter and got out faster!!!

“Bought organic fresh mangoes cut. Very dry hard flavor but very little moisture. The expiration date was June 30, 2024. I purchased it June 30, 2024. Too much of a bother to bring it back. “I have been a member of Costco ever since I was still using a Price club card. For all those years I would have given Costco 5 stars down the line. The reason was that you were going to get a product a a very good price, but what was more important was their product research! If Costco was carrying a particular product you knew it was going to be good! I bought dozens of products just because I knew it was a good item at a good price. I went years on the premise and was never disappointed or had to return an item.
Those days seen to sadly be over. When Sealy brought out the single sided mattress, I was, like everyone else thinking this was a good thing. What a rip! Costco knew it, everytime you went in you saw the lines of return mattresses backed up to the door. But profit is a tough habit to kick!
When Costco travel or rental cars came out they were great. Now I find better deals on my own. Long story short, Costco might want to look back at some of these issues before it's to late and I do my shopping at Kmart. Oh wait, I heard that Kmart wasn't listening to their patrons either.”
“Not a bad experience, Costco is not transparent with their In-Store prices unless you are in the store ( which is always fun to visit when there’s plenty of time). They show No Goodwill towards their customers: no order pick up option and no transparency on prices
. That’s why I don’t have the executive membership anymore. SAMs Club allows you to order and pick up and they detail their pricing. Most items are shipped free at SAMs Club. Costco needs to catch up! I convinced 5 neighbors to switch to SAMs.”
“Unacceptable Customer Service and Delivery Issues - A Nightmarish Experience with Costco Wholesale Club
I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the recent experience my family and I had with Costco Wholesale Club. On May 17th, 2024, we made a significant purchase of a Whirlpool refrigerator, an LG washer, and a dryer. Given the reputable name of Costco, we trusted that this would be a seamless process. Unfortunately, our experience has been nothing short of a nightmare.
Our appliances were finally delivered on June 5th, 2024, nearly three weeks after our purchase. To our dismay, we discovered that the interior of the refrigerator was damaged before it was even packaged. This has thrown our lives into disarray. We had already planned our move and the usage of these appliances, but due to this issue, all our food, worth $400, went rotten. This included essential items for our 18-month-old child, whose food and milk spoiled. As a result, we have been forced to eat out every day, incurring additional unexpected expenses.
I contacted Costco repeatedly, hoping to find someone who could understand the urgency of our situation and provide a temporary solution while we waited for a replacement refrigerator. Unfortunately, it appears that Costco lacks an incident response team to handle such issues. Despite our pleas, we were informed that there was no provision for a loaner fridge. This has been particularly challenging for us as we recently moved 48 miles from the city to a new neighborhood and are not yet familiar with the area.
After the initial setback with the damaged refrigerator, we accepted Costco’s offer to deliver a new refrigerator on June 8th, 2024, at 8 AM. However, we were later informed that there would be no delivery until a week from today. This delay is simply unacceptable, especially given the dire situation we are in with food preservation and our child’s needs. The constant apologies from customer service do nothing to alleviate our frustration and the real fear we feel due to this ongoing issue.
As a result, we have been left with no choice but to cancel our order and request a refund. Now, we must wait another seven business days to receive our money before we can purchase a refrigerator elsewhere. We plan to shop at Lowe’s in the hope of getting a fridge today.
Costco needs to be aware of the severity of this issue and the impact it has had on our family. I urge corporate to address this situation urgently and find a way to resolve it amicably. This experience has been incredibly stressful and disappointing, and I hope no other family has to endure what we have gone through.”
“I have generally had very positive experiences with Costco. But I am not happy that, in my view, they took advantage of my mother. She was checking out and she was yet again approached about upgrading her membership. The salesperson did not take no for an answer. She was pressured. She is 88 years old and was tired and gave in and said yes. $50.00 later and a long ride home, she realized she did not want the upgrade. When she called, she was told she had to be there in person to cancel the upgrade! I do not know if this is legal, but it sure is inconvenient! I called and got nowhere also. She's frustrated and I'm angry. I'll be surprised if this review is published.”
