“How frustrating!... and hugely disappointing!
We booked our cruise for 2 passengers in July 2019 for £2400pp for a sea view cabin.
We were informed by our Cruise 1st salesman it was in our best interest to achieve the best price was to book there and then.
Imagine the frustration and disappointment to see a Cruise 1st offer in The Sun 18th Jan for a balcony cabin at £2099pp.
When we called it was recognised that yes, we had paid £600+ than the current price; we wasn’t expecting a refund on the difference but a balcony cabin to reflect the current cost.
The response was a ‘verbal brick wall’. Refused to recognise integrity and long term customer loyalty and support or just simple fairness. We are recently retired and anticipate at least 20 future cruises. Sadly unless we receive a more compassionate, genuine recognition of unfairness .. Cruise 1st will NOT be a company which we will use and will advise other potential customers to avoid.”
“Absolutely awful, communication is non existent. We leave our his tomorrow for a cruise on Tuesday and they still cannot send us tickets.
It takes them ages to answer the phone, so not use this company they are so bad it’s unbelievable”
“Cruise1st, Never again
I am not the one to complain. But Cruise1st do not deserve any credit. We booked the “Walls and Warriors Tour of China and 12 days cruise to Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Vietnam etc. Cruise1st did not notify us of the changes Royal Caribbean made at the last minute. They did not send us anything by post. We had to download everything from their site which was very poor. Also it is National Holiday in China from 1st October lasting more then 2 weeks. There were thousands of people at every site seeing area. One hundred thousand people at the Terracotta Warriors army and there was hardly any security. People were just being pushed and pulled. (Do Not Go To CHINA in October)
When we got to china the tour guide told us that we all had to pay the “Tips” upfront and the total tips each person will pay is £40 for 5 days (£80 per couple). As far as I am concerned the tips are Gratuity and every person has a right to pay with what they are comfortable with. Upfront Payment means it’s a service charge and we should get a receipt for this. The problem was Cruise1st sent some people a letter informing them that they will be expected to pay the tips on the second day. I did not receive this letter. Cruise1st will book one good hotel and another not so good. You will not have your meals in the hotels. They take you to a very cheap restaurants and the food is rubbish. None of the hotels had good wifi so you cannot communicate with your family back home.
I WILL NEVER BOOK ANY HOLIDAYS WITH THEM.”
