“We had a friend who is doing very well with Curology. We did not see results. We complained and Curology told us we needed to give it 3 months. No improvement. They updated the medications to be stronger, no better. 5 months later, no results. We cancelled and wen to a dermatologist and in days we are seeing improvement. Overall I am not happy with the money I spent.”

“after using this product for couple times to see if it helps my skin.. however, every time after I used my prescription my face starts burning while it’s soo dry and started peeling off. esp after taking a shower my face started to get red and burning because of dryness due to the product. I won’t be using this product any longer because it did a lot of damage to my skin”

“I had better skin without curology. I had to cancel my order and a month went by and they sent another shipment!!! They said I had to pay for it since you can’t return your “special formula” BS. 0/10 for product and customer support”

“I used Curology for about a year, my skin started to get better at first and then about 8 months in I was getting terrible breakouts. I switched my prescription and it got even worse. I’m very insecure about my skin so this was really hard to go through. It was a waste of money, I’m glad I finally visited the dermatologist, you are better off just doing that instead”

“The literal worst product I have ever used on my skin. Period. If you value your skin and the cleanliness/care that you personally take to keep it clear - DO NOT try this horrible brand. I used Curology for 2 days, as directed and instantly saw break outs. My skin has always been clear, smooth and naturally shiny/glowing. I thought using this product would continue to keep it in the state it is - I was very wrong. I believe, at this point, that this is a scam. They send you your trial/free month skin care regimen, with intention to break your skin out. So that, you feel as though their product is the only one to fall back on in order to get your skin healthy/clear again. I am so disappointed in their entire staff. I posted an authentic, brutally honest live stream video on Instagram about them - within 5 minutes it was taken down. I personally direct messaged the video to the Curology page (within minutes, my video was gone from my personal page). They clearly felt threatened and seem to be quite ignorant to the true nature of the products/serums they provide. What a pathetic company. For a brand like this to degrade other, incredible brands, only to sell their lies...I will never do business with Curology again & I’ll be sure to spread the honest word about my experience. Save yourself the time and acne - keep doing whatever it is you’re doing. Let Curology crumble on its own.”

Hi Kas! Curology is not a scam and I am sorry you would ever feel that way. Simply put: we believe in what we do. When starting a new skincare treatment it can be normal to go through an initial purging phase, which we are very transparent about. This is when your pores are clearing out and bringing everything to the surface - which can lead to temporary breakouts. You can read more about this phase from our dermatologists on our blog. We also value honest feedback and understand that Curology won't work for everyone. We have no way of removing your post and ONLY reach out to Instagram if people are directly stealing our content, but never to remove a negative post. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. “I had a horrible experience with Curology! Long story short, I started with the free trial to see if it could get rid of my occasional breakout and my skin did not seem to get better but worse. I contacted my Curology doctor/provider before the 90th day and said the formula was not working and that my acne was painful. She prescribed a new formula, the new formula did not work and in fact continued to make my acne worse. I finally stopped use of it for a few days and my skin began clearing. I contacted support, went through multiple of people until I was forwarded to management and they refused to refund my purchases or look at the pictures of my skin getting progressively worse. I spent all of December during Christmas, my 20th birthday, and New Years with painful explosive acne on my face because of Curology.”

“If I could give it a zero I would. My face had one or two pimples before and after using the free trial for about two weeks I had small zits all over my mouth and cheeks. No worth it at least for my oily skin.”

“I didn't the the product because when I read the label and ingredients and did research the products (specifically metronidazole) have serious health risk and interactions with alcohol (even perfume, body wash, mouth wash etc.) And I didn't want to add harmful chemicals to my body. Metronidazole has a BLACK BOX warning from the FDA because it isn't safe.”

Thanks so much for reaching out and letting us know about your concerns! It's great that you're doing your own research, but let's see if we can clarify a few things for you. First, while it's true that oral metronidazole does have a black box warning issued by the FDA, topical metronidazole (Metrogel, as an example) does not. We prescribe only topical metronidazole here at Curology. Second, I'm not sure which other chemicals you're concerned about, but please be assured that we only use well-proven active prescription ingredients here at Curology. Additional components of our medications, including the base ingredients, are typically well-tolerated. We hope you find that information helpful! “My skin wasn’t so bad when I first started but I had pimples. After like 6 months my face got way worse... I was told it was because I was purging but it just kept getting worse I even changed the formula and it didn’t help. No I don’t recommend it was a waste of money and time.”

“My skin is not crazy bad. My skin started crazy peeling later within two days. This is such a waste of money and time, and now they charged 60 dollars without informing me a head of time. Can't cancel the order.”

Hi Cherry! There can be an adjustment period when starting a new skincare routine, including mild irritation and peeling. I do suggest reaching out to your provider through your account if you have any questions about this! “I do not have any issues with chronic acne but I have a few concerns with my skin that Curology advertises as being able to treat, these including small issues with texture and sometimes enlarged pores. I used my sample for three days, the first day I was impressed at how nice my skin looked. It was even, my pores seemed smaller, and my skin overall looked smooth. The second day my skin started peeling horribly. I understand that skin may get worse before it gets better when using acne treatments, but I DO NOT HAVE ACNE. I did not list any acne concerns when creating my profile and after looking into my prescription, every ingredient was for cystic or persistent acne. My skin continued to peel and I used it once more without the moisturizer or cleanser to be sure it wasn’t those affecting my skin, at which point my face began to burn. Not just a slight tingling, my face began to swell and turned bright red, it hurt to the touch, massive blisters developed over my face in a matter of minutes. Now, several days after having stopped using the products entirely, my face is still discolored with some blisters remaining and the peeling has not subsided. After looking further into the moisturizer, which looks and feels like a pore filling primer, I discovered that it shares many of the same ingredients as pore filling primers which is why I was immediately impressed with the results. I am extremely upset that they prescribed me intense acne meditation when my skin, by my input and by my photos, did not need ANY acne treatment. I would strongly recommend that these products be stayed away from.”

“This product ruined my acne and made it worse! They are now refusing to refund me for a product I didnt receive yet and do not want. Even if I return the product they still refuse to refund me. Horrible customer service! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! Causes cystic acne. Not good to take an antibiotic gel for several months. Makes skin super dry”

“Nothing was bad with the product itself but it took SO long for the products to ship. I was paying $60 for them to take 13 days to get me my Curology? That’s insane. To give you perspective, I literally ordered something on the same day from one of those clothing websites that ship from China and that will be delivered before my Curology which shipped from St. Louis, MO.....”

“I have had nonstop issues with this company since I started using it roughly 2 years ago. I have been trying to cancel for over a year. I finally cancelled but they will not refund because apparently I didn't cancel soon enough. I am canceling my debit card to avoid future charges. But yeah, they consider a November, 2019 email too late to cancel for freakin January. The product is okay if you do not need beyond simple acne meds. I need prescription strength Differin and they do not offer the adapalene in their products. Also, you cannot call and speak to a person. You must use email. Oh and still no refund after $120 in charges since I started trying to cancel.”

“I deactivated my account because it's too expensive and 3 months later they reactivated my account to charge me again for another shipment when I already deactivated by goddamn account. And whenever I try to chat with support they allowed me to chat once and that was it. They blocked me from using their support feature so I can actually get my money back.”

“The staff is super friendly and helpful. Any issue I had they tried to get me the most information as possible, and the responses were speedy. They also seem very nice, which doesnt seem like it would be important but it really leaves a lasting impression. Since using their products I have not had barely a spot of acne on my face, and my face is smooth and soft. This is awesome because I struggled with a dry and sensitive face, but because the lotion is very light it does not hurt my face. Would definitely recommend.”

“I honestly love Curology. I haven't had a serious break out since I've been using the product. It's been almost two years. My skin is soft and my scaring has cleared. I still break out every once in a while but they are way smaller pimples, not cystic, and usually go away within 3-4 days. You have a specialist that you can speak with and he/she recommends thins specific to your skin's needs. The cost is a BIT pricey but worth it. Think about all of the money that you spend on things that do absolutely nothing for you. your best investment is yourself. Can't rave enough about this product. I only use the nighttime cream. I use Neutrogena naturals face wash and rose water to keep my skin extra hydrated and that's it! it's the most simple my skin routine has ever been. I love it.”

“I was so excited to try curology after I started battling hormonal acne in my mid-20s. However, Curology was the WORST. I started off with the most acne if ever had, probably 5-10 pimples and had to stop curology after giving it a shot (for WAY too long) 6 months and it gave me the worst acne and scarring I’m still suffering to get rid of today. These review all have to be fake. And I have the wonderful photo montage curology asked for showing how absolutely horrible my acne became on this product. DO NOT BUY! I wish I could give this 0 stars, it doesn’t deserve 1.”
