“it keeps saying i am doing something dangerous! how stupid! i cant even use this properly in lessons. nobody wants to hack into some kids games. cyber start get a life.”

“Cyber start has teach me a lot through high school and I can use it outside of school but some of the bases is really hard without using the virtual machine. If you’re in any classes with the computer science, you should ask your teacher for some help like I did my teacher was very helpful with me when I did this and I think you should too. I hope this was useful.”

“The platform presents an interesting learning experience, but it is unfortunately not a holistic experience. The field manual mentions how some of the activities in the challenge are related to cybersecurity, but this is not the norm. Some challenges are difficult to complete without the use of the game's virtual machine. I have not been able to get the game's virtual machine to work though I have been able to work quite efficiently with Kali Linux on a virtual machine.”

“I thought the game really great. I’ve learned a lot through cyber start and it really helped learn about cyber security. The vm was a great tool, but also really confusing at times. Especially about the softwares. I hadn’t heard of many of tools in the vm given so for some of the challenges, I had no idea what tools to use. I think it would be great to a section of the field manual about cyber start vm tools if possible. Thanks for reading my review.”

“I really like doing these games. They give my ADHD brain a lot of dopamine and I usually yell "I FEEL SMART" when I complete a hard challenge. This is an awesome site and I love it. The only beef I have with it is that it can have confusing instructions, but that isn't much of an issue.”

“CyberStart has a lot of different challenges, and they're gamified so they're fun to play. Some are a bit hard, but the hints guide you through them. I've learned quite a bit playing CyberStart.”
