“This company is not Debenhams really, it is just branding for a very cheap company. They are totally inflexible and often rude. I had moved house and was waiting for new driving licence to arrive, so I couldn't send them a copy. I tried ringing up (You cant speak to anyone) so I got a text while away from home driving that they had canceled the policy because I had failed to provide requested documentation. I finally managed to speak to someone and had to pay money over the phone to get the policy sorted. It felt like being held to ransom as I couldnt resolve the issue where I was and would have no cover if I moved. Then about a week later they did it again because my previous insurer had not sent NCD over. I had to pay to top up while waiting to get certificates. Again very unhelpful on the phone. But staff are rude and unhelpful. I will not be using again even if they are the most cost effective, just because i know if i ever had to make a claim they would do everything to get out of it.”

“I ordered quite a number of Christmas gifts online and each item arrived carefully packaged and most were wrapped in their own individual bag. Everything was very well packaged. Compared to the lack of care taken by many companies I have to congratulate Debenhams on their excellent work.”
“Very poor customer service. Waiting for call to be answered for 20 minutes. No apology for the delay. My order could not be cancelled or amended despite manager explaining it had not actually been dispatched yet. I had to suggest ways I could get my items. The solution was to try to purchase the items in a store rather than the order I had placed on line. When I was put through to the store to check if the items were in stock I was promptly disconnected and had to call the store myself which resulted in another 35 minute wait. I shop at Debenhams but would not do so in the future due to the poor experience I have had today and previous experiences of poor customer service.”
“I have used Debenhams for a long time and have found the clothes are good quality. I recently purchased some kids clothes in the sale I did this on line. I’ve had them sent to my nearest Debenhams, with in a day I had a text telling me my items were ready for collection. Very good service couldn’t get any better than Debenhams.”
