Found the bike of poor build quality, front bearings very loose.

We bought climbing shoes using the information given on the website about shoe sizing. Climbing shoes aren't like normal shoes and must fit quite tightly however the size ordered after consulting the website info was far too small; returning them we incurred extra postage costs and more importantly had to wait another week without climbing shoes. The shoes were fine for the money but the website info needs revising.

I think it is clear that I got what I paid for. I bought the budget mountain bike based on recommendation from a relative. I have had to change an axle and bottom bracket bearing within two months of buying the bike. The shop is over 100 miles away so "drop it into the shop" is not a useful or practical solution.

The returns procedure very poor, it took months to get a shoe size changed. I have also had an online purchase cancelled due to system error.

Decathlon sell an eclectic range of predominantly budget goods for a wide range of watersports. They are keenly priced by and large for what they are, but do not ask Decathlon for any technical support....you won't get it, apart from stating the "bleeding obvious". Despatch of my goods, though, was very prompt. One range they do sell are Tribord sailing clothes, and the Ozean 900 jacket is stunning value and a serious jacket. Good stuff. So on balance, I'll give them 3 stars.......... (I bought on line...)

Despite us ordering a large amount there was no one willing to discuss savings and opportunities to chat about the product. However once ordered the team worked well and delivery was prompt.

Up until a week ago I would have marked decathlon with five stars. However though the products are first in class for value and quality the service in my local store is not up to scratch. Items that are advertised as being in stock are often not on the shelves. When I enquire if there are any elsewhere in the store staff are very quick to say no, they don't even attempt to look. I took my bike to be serviced, staff member seemed to take his time and perform a thorough check. I was impressed until the next day when I took the bike out and the chain kept slipping on small rear cog. I took it straight back to the store and was advised that the change was worn. Besides the fact that it had worn after only 600 miles, this should have been picked up in the service. Also as it had been slipping since the service it has damaged a cog on the cassette. I was advised by staff member that they would fit a new chain free of charge but I have not called in since. I have since purchased higher end KMC chain, rather than BTWIN, and SRAM cassette and will be taking it to the store to fit. I hope they will honor the free fitting. Though I have had negative experiences I still will use the online service. My local store is Belfast and the most recent staff member in bike shop was Andy.

I ordered size 9 but an 8.5 was delivered. As with everyone in life I've now become used to a general level of incompetence so I wasn't too surprised or 'put out'. Luckily I've tried them and they fit well for the sport I play. So overall...absolutely average. As usual.

I brought a bike. The bike seems good and cheap for what it is, but it did seem to come with dodgy or wrong parts. The stem was far too big for the bike and the headset was faulty from the beginning. I also asked advice from the person in store as to which size to buy, and they told me to get a size up. I decided against it as I took my faulty bike into another store and they said if anything I should have gone for the size smaller than I did - two sizes smaller than the one I was encouraged to get. I guess that's the trade off for getting a relatively good bike for relatively cheap.

First bike I purchased arrived with a scratch along the frame and the gears stopped working on my second ride. The bike exchange took longer than a week and I had to ring up at least 3 times to find out where my bike is in the process of the exchange. However, decathlon provided me with a good quality bike and value for money, despite the condition the bike arrived in.

I love the store, and how the departments are split by sports, but it just doesn't match up to its potential. The advertised prices are often wrong, the staff are friendly enough but aren't overly helpful. For example, I tried to sign up to the rewards card and was told to do it online - only to realise afterwards that I missed out on 250 points by not doing it in the store. My biggest issue is that there is very little stock replenishment, in summer I cannot find any lightweight running leggings, only winter ones. I spend quite a bit of money in the store and would like to see more variation in stock and sizes which would encourage me to spend more and recommend it to others

All your products and prices are good but I am very disappointed with the returns procedure.I have been trying to get your e-mail returns address to accept a proof of return but the photos of the proof (as requested by your team) gets continually gets declined. Please advise

In store there are never enough assistants to help at check-out, the check-out process is very cumbersome. Large queues, not great - otherwise find my local store in Belfast fine.

Nothing wrong with goods but initial delivery contained correct documents but wrong goods. Two kids were very disappointed to get golfing welling tons instead of their ski wear. I was unimpressed with the return service and had to request a postage label having first been simply told to post them back myself. All turned out well in the end but something of a delay, can only hope the kids got to go skiing on time suitably attired.

Cheap and practical nothing special just a normal day sack at reduced price to try and get people to buy more stock. Fast delivery. If you are into your sports clothing give them a go. Unless there are anymore bargains I will give them a miss

Good service, had to return the item as faulty, received refund for the cost of item paid in cash but the use of loyalty card is in voucher form. This is valid for only 3 months, as we live a considerable distance from our nearest store unlikely to be able to use this £5. The general quality versus price is usually very good.

Unfortunately when items are paid with vouchers these have to be refunded with vouchers as were are unable to refund a greater amount than originally paid. If you have a loyalty voucher or promotional code (not gift card) this is also valid for use online. Have a nice day.

Badly misinformed in store as to how long delivery would be if I ordered an item on line and then when it did arrive at the store only given a few days to collect which caused difficulties as I was away by then

Hello John Thank you for your feedback on your experience in ordering from us. Many of our products have to come from the warehouses in France and this is why the delivery time is about 1 week. For items that we have in stock in the UK warehouse the delivery time is approximately 2 days. An estimated delivery date is given before placing the order. We give all click and collect orders 7 days to be collected as stores do not have enough space to keep them. Sorry for any inconvenience caused. Have a nice day.

Overall very slow service. Experience with Decathlon in France is much quicker and smoother. It took a week to fetch the items in the warehouse which is not really efficient. So either warehouse is so massive that they have no idea where things are or the supply chain is poor. Apart from that good product. Would not buy online anymore. Too slow, Would rather go directly in store.
