Don’t trust me I was selling with Depop for over 5 years , all of student , some scammer purchased an item form me , opened a case that the item is not authentic , but in a message to me just said he wants to return because it does not fit him . Next day he opened a charge back with the bank saying he did not make a transaction . Depop tried to Hit on me , they suspended my account , started asking for a proof of purchase ,which I provided , was not enough , they just blindly believed a new account with no purchase history who decided to scam me. I am just shocked . So far , no money , no item , of course the buyer did not send an item , Depop just stoped replying . Stay aware , terrible company to sale with

Awful service - please save yourself and use other platforms such as Vestiaire and Vinted. It is not worth the risk - the company provides no protection for it's customers. I paid a significant amount for an item - the item was marked as delivered by Evri including a proof of postage image of a parcel in front of a letterbox saying it had been posted (notably, my settings do not deem letterbox postage to be safe). The parcel was not on the inside when I arrived. As the courier had said the item had been delivered, they said they can offer me no compensation (as if the couriers word is without a doubt true). There is no formal complaints process and their customer service gave generic responses despite me trying several times to pursue an appeal. AVOID. I have been a loyal customer for years in both selling and buying, and have never raised any issues.

The ABSOLUTE worst decision I made as a small business was getting this app & trusting Depop. Starting a small business of selling handmade goods and styles bundles I had to invest ALOT of money on supplies. I choose Depop since the consumers seem to match the aesthetic of my business. Within weeks my sales are crazy high when I randomly get a warning email from Depop that I am spamming people (which I literally never did?) and was taking my sales outside the app (also never did and they could see through my account). Before I can message them and clear the confusion 4 MINUTES after that "warning" my account & my DEVICE are totally banned. Why delete my account 4 minutes after the warning? I didn't even have a chance to message any of my buyers. I appealed it, never heard back after WEEKS. Did everything I could to reach them, never got any reply. I did get 15+ emails telling me my buyers wanted refunds. Yeah I wonder why its not like banning me from the app means I cant access the shipping labels and send them their stuff. Bye bye sales, savings, and my small business for now.

This company has wrongfully suspended my account with 160+ sales, all 5 star reviews and 1-day shipping time. They sent me no reasoning as to why my account was banned. I had to reach out to the company on Twitter and still wait another day. They emailed me with a generic message saying I violated the terms and conditions and sent me the link to their entire terms and conditions to figure it out myself! I have always conducted professional business while using this app. The company has $360 of mine being withheld even though I communicated with those buyers and shipped out their items the very next day. There is no way for me to access my account or even talk to a real person at Depop. Beyond frustrated with this experience.

Don’t waste your time. The seller incorrectly listed the shoes that weren’t event new, I contested and Depop wrote 8 emails with completely diff responses that had nothing to do with what I asked and then denied the request even though I showed proof it was not the size I ordered. What a joke, don’t waste your time!!!!!

Where do I begin? Just don't. Word of advice: don't. Scam City and they don't let you delete your account after experiencing and subsequently reporting said fraud as a buyer. This is a trap 100%.

Depop has demonstrated significant shortcomings as a platform for both buyers and sellers. The company has repeatedly withheld payouts without providing any explanation, and their customer service is severely lacking. Numerous attempts to resolve issues have been ignored, reflecting a concerning disregard for user satisfaction. For those who prioritize their time, money and peace of mind, I strongly advise against using Depop. Proceed with caution.

Sellers do not use this app to sell your products this is the worst of worst. I had my account suspended for reason that I don't understand and this is my only source of income I'm giving this app a 0 star rating .I will make sure to see where else I give them a bad review. Thanks for nothing

Stay away from them! This site is full of scammers and Depop do not protect customers from them. These people contact new sellers inside the app and asking to provide their bank details pretending to be a Depop.

Depop customer service / seller support does not exist . If you have a problem expect to get no replies via email . I have an urgent issue to resolve and they will not communicate with me .

Hate this app. They deactivated my account without warning citing counterfeits. I don't sell counterfeits. Never have. Never will. No customer service support. Only bots. Worst selling platform ever.

As others have said they have a mindless buyer is always right policy. I was scammed by a buyer w no recourse. They have no one you can actually talk to to rectify a situation…it’s all borderline bots.

I purchased a bag, the delivery took a week longer than expected, the item was not as the picture and smells. I started to ask for a refund and they told me they were very sorry but it couldn’t be returned. My first purchase and I felt cheated. This is a scam company. BE CAREFUL!!! Before you buy from this company.

I sell 2000 GBP per week. They removed the profile because i don't have a 1990s original reciept for some fendi jeans. The team are refusing to authenticate the trousers without the reciept. Even though before- they have pushed the authentication through without the reciept. It just depends who you get. So as it stands i've lost 100,000+ Per year because someone can't be bothered making a moral decision about this.

Depop have removed 3 genuine designer items in the last 24 hours, despite the fact that the photos clearly show the authenticity of the items and despite the fact that I have a 100% track record of selling genuine designer items (I have over 150 5-star reviews). Yet a quick search on their site shows that similar items which are clearly fake (from sellers with no other items sold, zero reviews, and using stock photos) are still there. This is absolutely disgusting.

The pennies you’ll make reselling things on Depop are not worth the time and stress. In almost a year using the app I had all sorts of bad experiences, including being harassed three times in my inbox by a weirdo asking me for pictures of myself wearing a specific jacket. These happened a few months apart, showing they have no control over people who are banned returning to the app. But the last drop was a sale in which I sent the parcel with tracking number, the buyer wasn't home to receive the delivery and it sat at the post office for 2 weeks. I warned her she needed to pick it up otherwise it would be returned to me, and so it happened. She blamed me (?) and I reached out to Depop to mediate. I gave her a refund on the item but kept the shipping fee because, you know, I actually paid to have it shipped to her, and the post returns the parcel but doesn’t refund the fee. However, mindless Depop support keeps regurgitating the same standard “buyer-always-right” response saying I should give her a full refund. So basically, even though I did everything right I’m supposed to take a loss out of buyer negligence.  In sum, they provide very little support to sellers while taking big cuts, including on shipping. It’s impossible to get eyes on your listing without boosting it, so be prepared to pay them twice as much as they advertise. Maybe you’ll have a better experience if you’re reselling luxury items, otherwise I wouldn’t bother.

zero seller protection. The buyer sent pictures of a replica item and asked for a refund . He kept the authentic item and sent me the replica. he scammed me out of the refund and had depop issue him a full refund out of my Depop balance. I Just met with my lawyer today and we will seek compensation.

The platform will allow scammers and counterfeit items sellers. If you decide ro speak up and make platform safe they will block your account. AVOID
