“Do not buy anything from this Website!! They offer no support towards the buyer!!! - I paid through a BANK TRANSFER to the seller's account. She provided the bank details but NEVER sent out the purchase......no matter how many times I contacted her - no response!! I reported this to Depop and because I bought through "BUY" option I thought I was safe - but NO - you also have to pay through the app. Even though I could prove the money was transferred, the will not pay back the money to me! They have suspended the sellers account - but they can reopen again under a different name and email address!! no support for a fraudulent transaction!!! There are not other methods of contacting DePop only email.. I had to use Resolver to get a reply back!!”

“A friend had a 3 year association with Depop and bought & sold many items and had well over 100 5 star reviews. Out of the blue, Depop suspended her account, and now she can’t complete her transactions and they will not listen or help. Depop is nothing more than a group of liars, cheaters, and scammers. Do NOT do business with them.”

“My friend's art was being sold without his permission. I asked the seller to remove it as it was a breach of copyright infringement. The seller refused to and got extremely defensive about it, claiming that there "was no copyright on the art" so he could "do what he wanted with it". I lost my cool in the message to him and called him a talentless opportunist. They removed my account accusing me of "abusive behaviour" - said nothing about the copyright infringing person. Absolutely and completely outrageous that they would remove the account of someone who was confronting a seller of copyrighted art!”

“Awful app- went from loving depop to hating it. Sold an item to Australia a few weeks back and the seller started by harassing me for the tracking number so I give it to her and it doesn’t work. 2 weeks later she opens up a case saying she hasn’t received it which has caused me to have other payments on hold (£200) which is an absolute joke. She has received the item but is refusing to delete the case and it seems that PayPal is on her side. Disgusting customer service, the app is full of scams and even Got Pervy men messaging me, also to mention the 10% fee they take from you! Greedy f**kers. AVOID, LOST £200”

“Very Horrible Experience! I have used their cooperator Hermes to send item to customers and paid shipping fees, transaction fees. Finally Hermes lost my item and Depop refused refund request. Instead, they ask me to refund to my customers??? Also I had a horrible experience when communicating with Depop customer care team. They seems outsource the service and every email replied by different people ask me the same question again and again! Extremely horrible platform with terrible service.”

“Brand new user. Made my account. No paypal adress or any other details aside from making my loggin and name. Went to bed. Woke up to being unable to loggin or retreieve a password Emailed support. To find out I have been a user before and suspended. OH THATS NEWS TO ME? Brand new account. Clicked a link i found on google and joined depop out of the blue. Never heard of the app til that moment. They will not answer back. Nor provide proof of this. DEPOP all they have is my name and email. Wtf. Depops email to me: It looks like you’ve previously been suspended from Depop which is why you aren’t able to sign in. Having reviewed your account history and our previous correspondence, I am unable to reactivate your account due to infringement of our Terms of Use. A final decision has been made regarding this enquiry.”

“Used app a few months back to buy a jacket for my daughter. Took seller quite a long time to post item and seller said the reason was she hadn't realised I had bought it. Anyway arrived eventually and very pleased with item. I have since attempted to buy approximately things on this app checking everytime.that item is still for sale. Haven't managed to buy one of them. Sellers don't respond or take weeks to respond. One said it was for sale but her PayPal wasn't working so was unable to sell any of her listed items. I have given up. I have never bartered just want to buy the item at the listed price. Too much like hard.work and have deleted app.”

“Will close your account down for no reason and say you have breached T&C, but how?! They do not say. Buyer and seller for years. Never again! Their staff are useless and send you scripts. No personalisation - and any issues they ask you to go to PayPal. Also full of scammer profiles. BEWARE!”

“My daughter has been scamed out of £560 buying through depop. Neither Depop or Paypal will refund her!. It was a years worth of wages she had saved. She's reported it to the police but they carn't do anything. Before buying through this site think very carefully. I wouldn't recommend it.”

“My son purchased some goods from Ciaran Couldridge@c_couldridge the goods were rated unused a couple a times and as new . So without checking Depop on google reviews he went ahead an purchased them. They were not as described so he send them back but the guy did not process a refund but instead blocked him on this app. We will be reporting this as a cyber crime and leaving negative feedback on every social media platform”

“I had an awful experience with Depop. I bought from a seller, who accidentally refunded me. I immediately paid her again but Depop suspended MY account. The seller appears to have told them I didn’t pay, omitting the fact it was her mistake. I explained to Depop but they were completely awful. I’ve now deleted my account with them.”
