“Wrote a review awhile back and Wayne got in touch to ask what the problem was. I explained and he apologised and offered me ten percent off my next purchase. So I decided to buy a tv for my husband for xmas. Got it delivered to my neighbour to keep it a surprise. She stayed in Wednesday all day but alas no delivery so I rang wednesday evening and was told ohh dear must be because of storm Barra so I said fine no problem. Was told it would probably be delivered between 9am and 12. Email came wed night saying it would be arriving Friday so my lovely neighbour waited in again. Rang DID head office waited one hour got cut off rang again and got through after 40 min wait. Was told logistics could not be contacted but I would hear soon. Waited 2 hours rang again waited 40 mins got through explained again about no delivery......was told Wayne would ring but he didn't so rang an hour later and was told by a lovely girl that she would email said Wayne and he should ring me in a few minutes. Alas again no call back at now 16.40. So my friend rang Blanchardstown only to be told my tv was NOT EVEN ON THE LORRY. So thats two days wasted and no phone call from head office who have my money since monday. Disappointed is an understatement but that is lesson learned.”
“DON'T buy online from DID shocking service..any other store that does click and collect let's you see what's ready for collection but DID doesn't they just take your money, now it's impossible for them to answer phones or email.
Will be shopping elsewhere in future.”

“I ordered a fridge, washer and dryer and dishwasher.
Lovely man Christy came installed the washer but couldn't install the dishwasher, apparently to fit the two of them next to each other we needed extension pipes. He took back the dishwasher. Okay, no problem, the man explained to me what to buy and I bought it. Ordered dishwasher with installation again. Order arrived with two men and there is an obstacle again. The fittings were wrong and I asked them to take it back, the Irish guy was extremely rude and arrogant, continuing to make an argument why he wouldn't take it back. I asked him to let his manager know that the dishwasher wasn't installed as was done last time and the refund processed quickly, but he replied with "its none of my responsibility".”
“If there were no stars DID would get it. Bought a faulty washing machine, it took weeks for DID to say they would sort it and three months later still no response or solution found just false promises. Orla from DID promised a solution finally one month ago after I publicly made a bad review and I’m still waiting a month later. I will never buy from DID again and it looks like it will have to sort it in the small claims court. Appalling service. No other words can describe this company.”
“Dreadful customer service. I ordered a TV but changed my mind and rang to cancel the next morning, was assured order was cancelled and that account wouldn't be debited. Three days later courier arrives with it, I rang again and was told order would be cancelled (obviously wasn't done already), courier returned TV. Two days later DID debited my account. can't get through on phone, have tried emailing, no response.”
“They sold me a dishwasher that they did not have in stock and could not obtain. A few days later when they realised their mistake-they promised a comparable product at the same price. When that item was not delivered on the promised date, at least 4 phone calls each with 15 minutes of on hold time were made only to find out that the newly purchased item was not in stock. Each phone call was met with confusion and a promised call back. Not one call back was received.No one seemed to know what was going on necessitating more time on hold.”
“I ordered and paid for a dishwasher and fridge from DID online (items were stated as 'in stock' on the website). I then had to chase up to arrange for delivery. Delivery was organised but then the day before (today) I got an email to say they did not have the items in their warehouse and that they were trying to source them from other stores. When I arranged for delivery and fitting I explained that I would have to arrange to have someone here on that and that this takes organisation and another persons time I was told 'no problem you will have a three hour slot and we will phone you on the morning to make sure this still suits you'.
I am absolutely furious that I was sold items that were unavailable. When I phoned the Mullingar store requesting a refund I got a one-liner 'oh sorry about that', then silence, then.....”
“Ordered numerous items in the Newbridge DID store some weeks ago and haven’t heard anything from them since. Have emailed them numerous times and called to the store and was assured they would contact me with an update on my order but have not heard anything since. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Definitely a store to avoid.”
“I bought a Fridge Freezer in your Newbridge Store on the 8th August and on the 8th October it stopped working I immediately contacted the store to be told they would get someone from Power Point to call to me within 3 to 5 working days. I rang the store after a few days to be told it was out of their hands now. I called into the store to speak to a manager on the 13th and he assured me someone would call within a couple of days. I9 days later I am still without a fridge and all the food and milk I get is going off. I think it's a disgrace and I certainly will never buy anything off D. I. D. In my lifetime again. I think now I should demand a full refund and they can take the fridge back because if an item breaks down within 2 months I would not trust it again. Very very disappointed with the service.”
“Never will I ever use DID electrical again I went in to purchase new appliances in Newbridge store adding up to almost 2 thousand euro only to be left standing at the counter for 10mins plus while mag sat there playing on her phone ignoring the fact I was stood there waiting to be served when she eventually pulled her head out of her phone she shouted one the lads be with you in a min.. after this and quotation was done mag completely and utterly embarrassed me and shamed me in the middle of the shop shouting out about social welfare grants even tho I never mentioned anything about a grant she was so ignorant and rude i left the shop feeling terrible and in tears the embarrassment was unfair I contacted the customer help line about this issue only to have insult added to injury I spoke with Keith who promised someone would contact me back and reckoned this wasn’t there protocol but to no surprise no one ever did contact me back needless to say I won’t be returning to spend my 2grand in there complete and utter disgrace of a place”
“I wish I had read the reviews before I purchased from DID Electrical. I am still waiting for a courier to collect a faulty television. It was almost impossible to get through to customer service I left voicemails and email with no response after 2 days. Finally got through and was told a courier would collect television on Wednesday but he never arrived. Worst customer care service I have ever experienced. I would not recommend DID ELECTRICAL and will be posting my experience on review sites hopefully I can help someone avoid a similar situation.”
“Brand new 2500 euro tv with a fault that has not been resolved after reporting the fault almost 5 weeks ago. The customer service is shocking with zero respect for the customer. Do not answer the phone and cannot even be bothered to answer emails. I went to samsung direct as just gave up on DID. My advice is keep away from this company if you want to be treated with dignity and respect. They will never get another cent off me”

“DID Electrical are one of the worst Companies in Ireland for after sales service. I purchased a hob and single oven from DID Electrical Malahide Road Dublin 5. I paid
€834.35 for these goods which included €80 for installation. I booked installation date on 11th September to have the work carried out on Monday 20th Sept. They never came to install. I phoned Mslahide Road 3 times that morning to sort it out. They said they would phone me back but I never heard from them and then in the day when I got through to them all I got was excuses. Then today Tuesday I phoned distribution and spoke to Helena. She said she would phone me back in an hour and a quarter but never happened. Then at 3pm I phoned again spoke to Laura she said she would me back again I heard nothing. This service is absolutely disgraceful. They advertise they are an Irish Co. in business since 1968. The Management should be ashamed of the service they provide the Irish customers.
