They refused to refund me for a dress that I returned. The dress was never worn. It was shipped back to me with a note that stated the dress could not be returned because of "excessive animal hair." I called customer service and they said there was animal hair on the inside of the dress. I looked and found a tiny bit of lint that could be cat hair. That was all. I complained, but no luck. I think they scrutinize very expensive items like this looking for reasons to deny a refund.

The workers I encountered were rude and condescending. They were very obvious about the fact that they didn't think I could afford to shop there, and talked down to me when I was looking at fragrances and the purses. I'll be buying my fragrances directly from the Dior website and not from Dillard's.

Poor customer service. Manager was very rude. Someone else would've handled things differently. Been a long time and valuable customer for several years. Will no longer shop at Dillard's. Shredded my Dillard's credit card 💳. Dimple who works in jewelry and handbags is a great employee. Will miss seeing her. I don't want to go into details like I did previously.

Went into Dillards McAllen Texas and bought a Wolf blender. Took it home turned it on and decided I didn't like the quality for a $600 blender. Took it back and they didn't want to return it. Even the manager said he doesn't have the ability to take back appliances in the store. After several phone calls and much arguing, they agreed to take it back. Beware, the receipt says you can return within 30 days - but they make it very difficult to return any electrical appliance. Better off to buy appliances from a reputable retailer. Save yourself a very harrowing experience.

I am writing to express my disappointment with the level of customer service I experienced during my recent visit to your store. As a loyal customer, I have always appreciated the products and services offered at your establishment, but unfortunately, my most recent encounter has left me deeply dissatisfied. During my visit on [Date], I felt extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome due to the behavior of one of your staff members. I noticed that I was being followed closely throughout the store, as if I were suspected of shoplifting. This made me feel targeted and humiliated, especially considering that I have never given any reason to be treated in such a manner. Being followed in a store is not only unacceptable but also goes against the principles of good customer service. It is important for customers to feel respected and valued, regardless of their background or appearance. This incident has not only tarnished my perception of your store but also left me hesitant to return in the future. I believe that every customer deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, and I urge you to take appropriate action to ensure that such incidents do not occur again in the future. This may involve providing additional training to your staff members on how to interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner. I hope that you will take my complaint seriously and address the issue promptly. As a long-time customer, I would like to see improvements in the level of customer service at your store so that others do not have to experience the same discomfort that I did. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to hearing from you soon and to seeing positive changes implemented at your store.

This review is for the employee that helped me at Dillard's today. Her name is Charida. She greeted me very pleasantly when I came in. I asked where I do a return & she said she'd do it as soon as she was done with her customer. She was very friendly, polite, professional & very helpful. While she helped me she still scanned her area & greeted other customers & offered them help. She did this without taking anything away from our interaction. I wish I could deal with people like Charida everytime I shopped! She's awesome & I appreciate the experience I had with her.

I bought my daughter a dress for prom on the Dillard’s website. I went to the store to look for shoes and saw the dress with 65% off two weeks after purchase. This was at the Pembroke Pines, Florida location. I spoke to the manager, Holly who-refused to let me return the dress and buy it at the sales price. She told me they don’t do price match. I completely understand but this was bought directly from Dillards on their own website not a competitor. I told her I would just return it and buy it later, and to be spiteful she took the return and never put the dress back on the floor. She told me that Dillard’s policy requires that they hold all returns in the back for 24 hours before they put them back on the floor. She never brought it back out. Who does that? What petty behavior for a business. I decided to purchase the same dress from a competitor. This type of nonsense is unacceptable. They have very poor management and zero customer service long. They lost another customer today.

The employees were incredibly rude to us and would not let us show off our potential prom dresses to our partners. there was no sex indicator on the dressing rooms and we have some racial differentiated people with us and we believe they were being racist and sexist. this store has good clothes but TERRIBLE customer service. 👎

They spend more time telling you what they can’t do, we don’t take returns or do exchanges on items reduced by 65% returns, we don’t do price adjustments, we don’t do competitor pricing adjustments. Return Labels cost $9. I sent this letter to Ronnie Kobo designs regarding Dillards. I wanted to bring a couple of things to your attention. While I love your items, and I usually purchase from Anthropologie or Nordstrom. I made a purchase from Dillards because Anthropologie did not have your Darine pants in stock. I searched the Internet. I saw that Dillards carries your brand, but I was a little confused because the pant I was looking for is called the Darine. Apparently, Dillards can’t spell and decided to put an L in the name of the model. I studied it and decided to take a chance that these were the right pants. And they are. Unfortunately, I needed to exchange them for one size up and Dillards refused, quoting their policy of not accepting returns OR exchanges on clearance items. I decided to try them on again using shape wear. When I tried them on the second time, my foot went through a hole that was in the hem, making the hem come halfway off. I then realized that these were not sewn, but rather hem tape was used. When I called Dillards to tell them what happened the CSR went to speak to a manager with the wrong account of what had occurred and based on that they made an assumption that when I tried them on I tore the hem. And said they were not responsible . Clearly the CSR didn’t hear or relay that my foot would not have gone through the hem had the hole not been there in the first place. Regardless, I was told they would not accept the return 3 times. Did I mention that this is the second time they have sent me a damaged item? I thought you should know that this company has the absolute worst customer service I have ever encountered. The shabby way they treat customers and the fact that they don’t even spell the name of the items correctly in order for your customers to locate items is disappointing. I thought you should know, and of course it is up to you if you wish to keep your name associated with them. Luckily there are many other great department stores, such as Nordstrom that treat their customers way much better. I went to Dillards store this weekend, and it looks like a store that it’s on its last legs. Let’s just hope that’s the case.

I was in the Great Lakes mall I'm Mentor, OH looking for wedding guest attire. I made two loops around the entire women's clothing floor because I thought surely I'd missed an entire section. No, they had just flexed clothing racks into empty areas to make it seem full. The lack of on-trend styles and size options were shocking. There was little recovery happening throughout the clothing. What once was a very nice department store now feels like an outlet. Macy's closed their doors in this mall - it's obvious that Dillard's is not far behind.

I must be the only short fat man that shops at dillards, Went in to buy a suit and all they had where for a slim fit, same way on the shirts. Nor everyone is athletic built, from what I see only 20 percent of people are, the other 80 percent are like myself.

On Feb 19, 2024 I went to store in Columbia MO and picked up 3 Gold Label socks that had an $18 price tag. When I went to pay, the clerk rang up $20. I said item was priced at $18. Yeah, but it rang up at $20. Finally, she phoned someone and got permission to do me a favor and ring it up at $18. Wow.

If you want to go to Dillard's shop, be prepared to make more than one transfer because that customer service that forces you to pay at each station It's horrible... I don't understand why you can't go to the ground floor without paying if it's the same store!

I purchased shoes for my sister’s wedding back In April 2023 at the Park Meadows CO. store for almost $80 after tax. They were flats, no heel nothing too fancy but they ended up killing my feet so much so that I only wore them for about 10 minutes, put them back in the box and went barefoot for the rest of the wedding. I went back to the store several months later to buy shoes as a Christmas gift and asked if my other shoes were returnable. I said I did wear them very briefly so they were still in almost perfect condition. The salesperson asked if I had the receipt and I said no but I still had the original box, the proof of purchase sticker and I could show the charge on my bank statement. I was told I could bring them in and get store credit which I did a few days later and was then told by the manager that they were not returnable because I wore them and because they were not faulty in any way. I said of course not! They’re in near perfect condition so why can’t I at least get store credit? She refused, so then I asked if she could at least apply the credit toward the recent shoes I had just bought, again she refused. Customer service here is non-existent so I’ll return my shoes to a competitor store that will gladly take them back in return for store credit and I will shop there from now on instead.

I was looking for a Christmas pullover in petite but they no longer sell Christmas tops at all! Then went browsing through Christmas decorations and I could not believe the prices! WAY over inflated and the quality is cheap, we had gotten beautiful heavy metal snow globes a couple years back at a good price, today the same type is now plastic with maybe small amount of metal at ridiculously high prices. Dillard’s has really gone down in offering good quality products for reasonable prices!

My daughter purchased Vince Camuto heels online from the city in which she lives nearly 1000 miles away from the pick up point in Nashville, Tennessee. Dillards Rivergate Mall. She arrived in Nashville and we went to pick the shoes up around 7:30 pm at Dillards Rivergate 11/16/23. We went to customer service. An older woman was behind the desk. DID not acknowledge us AT ALL. She picked up an item and walked into the side room and DID NOT RETURN. We looked at each other and were dumbfounded! Let me tell you, NEVER have I been treated so rudely in a store. My daughter then yelled "HEY" to get her attention. Here came the security guard to ask of every thing was all right. We explained the situation to him. The clerk came running back out saying "I told them I would be right back that I had to go get my wand". We were aghast and I SPOKE UP and said, "no, you didn't say a thing to us". She was adamant she did. My daughter gave her the benefit of doubt. I will curve my shopping at Dillards. I would like to say never again but I like their merchandise. There was no reason for us to be treated in the manner we were except of course we were African American. Buyers of color, beware. They don't want you in their stores.
