“Shame on this company. The cliques they have in the staff in certain departments make new starters feel completely outcast. Staff bully new starters. Talk behind everyone's back and run to their friends who are in management roles. Be careful if you ever want to work for this shoddy and horribly untalented bunch of people who want to keep their own jobs and do everything to throw anyone new under the bus, so many two faced people who work here in management and in shop floor roles. Don't every work for these lot.”
“How fast the job was complete and the windows look great in the house would recommend them to anyone one window in the front of the house was so close to my old window. “DWC started work on a £30k conservatory in Oct 2021. Some 3 years later I am left with a build which to rectify these faults need completely dismantling and starting again. This includes, plans which were not drawn adequately from day one, a guttering system that is incapable of working to capacity and so leaks into the build, brickwork which has weak and faulty mortar all the way through the build and an uneven floor. They have agreed that these faults are there! Over the past 3 years the company and consistently tried to rectify faults by bodging and fixing problems as cheaply as possible. I have patiently tried to sensibly negotiate this situation over the past 2 years only to be offered a token gesture of remedial work. They cannot take responsibility to deliver the product they offered. They have now offered to waive a final payment which in no way matches the costs needed to resolve the issues. Put through a living hell for well over 2 years with a weak management structure which cares nothing about the customer and good service only taking money from you. Still waiting for an apology! Disgraceful company.”

I regret to share my disappointing experience with York Direct Windows. I purchased two windows, a French door, and a bathroom door from them on 22/11/2023. Despite promises of delivery within two weeks, the items arrived late on 19/01/2024. The windows were faulty, lacking essential parts for installation, and promises to rectify the issues were not fulfilled.

Furthermore, they did not deliver the rest of the order even after 3 months. Additionally, they repeatedly broke promises, lied, and provided excuses instead of addressing the issues. Attempts to contact them were often futile, as they were either unreachable or failed to respond to messages. When they did respond, it was with new lies and excuses.
I caution others against York Direct Windows due to their failure to deliver on promises, provide quality products, and maintain honesty and integrity in their dealings.”
“Ordered door and glass side panel they turned up with door and no side panel, wrong handle and no plate cover, when they phoned after a couple of days for money the girl told me they had forgotten once again to order the glass and had only just ordered it 3 weeks later when I phoned to see what was going on I was told by coincidence that the glass was arriving that day. Came to fit it 3days later but the glass was all marked so told once again they had reordered it. Another 2weeks still no glass and when I phoned to complain was put on to their so called installation manager who obviously moonlights as a comedian in his spare time. Still no glass. Do not use this Mickey Mouse company”
“First appointment after w8aiting all day i get a phone call to say he googled my house and in his opinion it wasnt worth spending money on i googled it myself although it was the area the house it shown up wasnt mine the second time you g lad on the ohone trying to sell a g door that was on offer i had no idea what the door was like as he didnt send the photo as promised .he was quite annoyed that i wouldnt give him the measurements i explained i am a woman over 70 yrs old with serious heart trouble and couldnt climb ladders he put the phone down wont advise anyone to have anythig done with this company”

“I strongly do not recommend this company. I am disgusted , I've never experienced anything worse. Firstly, poorly installed windows and doors. water leaks inside the house every day when rains. Do you understand that ? water is pouring into my house after installing NEW windows!!! . the door to the garden does not close and the window in the bedroom is scratched.
Of course i reported it right away , they promised me someone would come on monday , I took the day off from work and no one showed up . It's been a week and still nothing they don't answers the phone, they don't reply to emails and I only change wet towels and see the damage done . always read the reviews before you entrust someone with work in your home because you can be very disappointed.”
“Rang to book an appointment for a quote for a conservatory.
On the day advisor rang to say he will only come if my partner is there to. As advisor insisted that my wife also was present, we rearranged appointment. We both booked a day off so we could be available for the day .
Advisor was booked for 2:30pm but didn’t turn up
We then rang the office to find they had no details of appointment.
When I mentioned who the appointment was with, I was told that he was at home self isolating and hadn’t left any information
Also there was no one else available.
They told me that original advisor would contact us the following Wednesday.
Never received any contact from them.
Most disappointing aspect of this is the way I was spoken to by both advisors.
No courtesy or any help.

“It was great to be able to visit the showroom and see the fantastic range of doors! This really helped me to choose the door I wanted! N.Worsley (sorry can’t remember his forename) left us to look around and was then really helpful as I chose the door I wanted! The surveyor came to measure and was very accommodating to fit in with my job!
Then the fitter arrived as planned and was very efficient in removing my old door and fitting the new one! He even fixed a stopper to make sure the door didn’t bang against the radiator! And finally I absolutely love my new door! My mum and a neighbour have already ordered new doors after seeing mine!”
