Their feedback systems are fundamentally biased to manipulate positive reviews of the transportation providers on Shiply and of Shiply on independent review sites.
On Shiply, you read the reviews thinking that they are an honest assessment of a transportation providers previous jobs. But actually, if the transportation supplier cancels the job or does not return calls, emails, texts (as happened in my case), then Shiply will not let you leave feedback because the transaction did not complete. This is despite the fact that you have already paid Shiply a fee. So you cannot warn other users that the transportation provider is poor.
Then if you try to leave a negative review about Shiply, they will contest it by saying that you weren't a customer. Again they will ignore the fact that you have paid them some money and will just say that the job did not complete.
So don't believe the positive reviews about Shiply. And don't believe the positive reviews on transportation providers on Shiply's website. This is a fundamentally flawed business model that could be so much better if they were 100% transparent and honest. But they are not.”
“first courier hopeless had not arranged after 2 weeks second courier arranged to drop off wed did not contact tillthursday that driver had been invoked in accident on friday so they would not have picked up on wed all shiply did was realist when i contacted them .Awaiting 3rd quote nearly a month having passed from acceptance of first quote”
“booked a item to be picked up tuesday, but courier did not come until wednesday late afternoon and delivered the item to our customer at 10.20PM. Customer was very angry about this.
no communication as he did not pick up our phone,
also very disappointed in shiply for hiring these kind of unreliable couriers and courier and will not recommend to other business partners who are also in the same trade.

“I booked this via shiply and the person whose quote I accepted via shiply answered he would collect the three items for £100. He turned up in a car to collect 3 pieces of furniture and pushed them into a car.
I wonder whether Shiply know that this is going on because there would not have been insurance cover for transporting furniture in his car”
“Had my coffee table picked up on the 1st October and it's still not been delivered!! Courier not responding to my texts or calls !!!! Tried phoning you but was on the phone for 25 minutes !!!! Still no answer, very disappointed please call me on 07908080580”
“It took many emails to sort a mutually acceptable date.
Delivery was delayed for two days...this caused worry/inconvenience and more phonecalls etc.
The price went up at the last minute although it still showed a much reduced price on the website.
The guys who eventually came were good..polite and efficient.
I believe that they were given extra work to do on the way back to Herefordshire...this caused the delay in delivery which was not satisfactory.

“We had problems with our first delivery company. After nearly two weeks of problems we decided to use another company from Shiply and everything went very well.
We still haven't received the deposit back from Shiply from the first delivery. Shiply asked us to write 250 words 'why' we want to change the company. They also asked us to write 250 words 'What Shiply could do better' in order to claim the deposit back.
I think it is a total joke to ask somebody to write that much. At the end of the day we only wanted to have a table picked up and delivered.”
