“I bought product from this company. I phoned to confirm money had been taken and my stock confirmed. When it comes time to deliver my product, I am told my product is no longer available as they have sold my product to someone else so they are double dipping.
Dont trust them with a barge pole as they are either crooks or are so amateur they cant keep a simple spreadsheet. trading standards have confirmed to me when you buy a product it is yours and the company has no right to re sell. speaking to the manager she lost it and started shouting at me saying I was shouting at her. no doubt after this review I will be band from purchasing off them again.”
“Been using DAF for a year now. Beef tripe only and our Pattajack loved it.
However the last batch we bought is totally different, it has great chunks of white gristle, smells different and our dog won’t touch it. And funny, we went into our local Jolleys pet shop where we buy the food from and the DAF freezer was completely empty, with no more due apparently.
We are now stuck with 6 packs of inedible raw food and we have to find an alternative that our dog will eat.
I also cant find an email to complain to.”
“Please be very careful if you use this product. I received as a substitute from my supplier who was out of stock of one of my normal proteins. I suspect the bone content is much higher than stated and found the bone fragments to be sharp. I would never use this product.”
“Always helpful on the phone, food is good 80/10/10 composition which I believe to be a good mix and reasonably priced, delivery is made whilst myself and wife are at work so they always put the boxes in our large recycling bin in front of our garage, and most of all our dogs love it. all in all brilliant!!!”

“No idea what is happening with their complete minces recently, last night I pulled an inch long sharp bone out the pork & tripe mince.
Last week I purchased 4 boxes & all have big bits of bone in them & definitely not 10% bone like it says it is.
I’m having to fish out all the big bits of bone it’s like the grinder hasn’t been working properly.
Very dangerous & disappointing wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.”
“I was with Durham Animal Feeds for 2 years and left because they kept running out of my choices. Returned 2 months ago and the delivery driver removed secured chains and opened the gate. Fortunately Casper was inside. He has no car sense and will run outside towards cars. Both Sally and Sophie the South West manager were unapologetic and said I should have a sign on the gate not to remove the chains. Really! They deliver dog food for heavens sake. Also the wild boar is completely full of bones and my dogs poo was full of bones. The driver swore at me. They are awful people with awful food.”
“We have been using this company for about 3 years now and have been happy with the service. There have been a couple of issues which we chose not to chase up but having reported it to the driver and the driver reporting it to the office no contact was made. 1 issue was that one of their drivers hit our new drive way wall and cracked all the mortar and another was the return of a box of food which had caused issues with all 3 of my dogs one blotted up and increased weight by 6kg in 2 weeks. I returned the box with the drive and he promised someone would contact me, no contact was made and no exchange or refund give, but as I have said I didn't chase these issues up. On the last 2 deliveries the driver has not rang the intercom on the gate and dumped the 8 boxes of food over the gate which broke the sensor and left the gate wide open to the property. Due to heavy rain the boxes became wet. I did report this as it was a security, the girl I spoke to took the complaint and the response was that the driver didn't throw the boxes over and there where no instructions on the order, "after 3yrs of custom and deliveries every 2 weeks I think they know to press the gate and it can be opened from anywhere in the world", also he would of had to be 7ft tall to be able to place the boxes over the gate which is on a hill. I replied and asked if this could be passed to a director, I have heard nothing since. Customer service NIL. I WONT BE USING YOU AGAINS. DELIVERIES ARE MADE TO QUITE A LOT OF PEOPLE IN THE AREA AND AS A FREQUENT DOG WALKER I WILL BE INFORMING THEM OF THE ISSUES”

“I have been with Druham for 2years.I don't know if they are trying to keep the cost down by putting more bone in it.my dogs poo is as hard as a bullet,which makes her scream when it come out.there are sharps bits of bone in it.it makes me worried about what is it doing to her inside ,no way will I be buying from them ever again.”
“been using these guys for approx 2 years now but the prices keep going up and recently the food has gone right downhill and its dangerous to use and my small dog was choking on a piece of bone with last nights meal. In fact the food looks to be mostly bone now with large sharp pieces in - sorry I will have to stop buying from you and find another supplier as my dogs deserve better than this - the dogs poop is now white and crumbly from too much added bone and one of them is severely constipated. this is the amount of sharp bones my small dog could have eaten in just one meal (approx 1/4 of a pack) thank god he didnt die when choking on some of this yesterday - disgraceful - had to bin a whole box of 14 packs of duck too as it smelt really bad and wasnt risking giving that to my dogs- AVOID at all costs if you want to keep your pets safe!!!”
“In order was placed for delivery on the 25th. I did not receive my two hour delivery slot email. I called them to ask about my delivery only to be told that they were unable to take the payment. There is no reason for the payment not to go through. They said that they tried to call me which was incorrect as I’ve had no missed calls from them or a voicemail left. Then they tried to say that they had sent an email which again was incorrect as I had gone through all the emails from the date that I placed the order to present and no email has been sent. I even make sure to check the junk folder. There was nothing no correspondence of any kind from this company. They tried to give me the runaround and saying all we can deliver next week which was no good because I was at work. Then I get to could we not leave it in a safe place absolutely not as I work 12 1/2 hour shift and I’m not willing to leave me outside for that long. They said they would investigate. As you would expect I’ve not had a call back. The customer service is appalling. I would recommend not using this company. AVOID!!!”
“Customer service is appalling. I spend £70-£85 each month on dog food. I placed an order of 5 boxes and only 3 were delivered on Friday. I rang them up yesterday to discuss this and was told that 4 boxes were delivered (still missing one). I said that I only had 3 boxes and they disagreed with me. Saying that there is photograph of 4 being placed on the door step I asked to see the evidence of this and they said they would send it but still haven’t received it. Clearly there is no proof! I said that my mum and step dad were both home when the delivery arrived and the delivery man didn’t ring the doorbell or knock on the door, my mum only noticed as he was driving away that there must be something at the door. They told me ‘James is one of our most experienced and trustworthy delivery drivers and that he rang the doorbell and knocked on the door before putting it on the floor because of no answer as common practice’ How she knew he knocked and rang the doorbell is beyond me as she said this as I phoned them up first time, so very unlikely he was stood next to her to answer what he did or didn’t do. Also, I know for a fact he didn’t ring the doorbell or knock. I was 2 boxes down, they have sent out one box of a completely different meat but I am still left one box down. The two women I spoke to were incredibly rude and unhelpful. The bone content is also extremely high, I feed half of a complete feed and half of a meat only feed to balance it out. But I am so disappointed with the lack of help and just being plainly rude to me on the phone. I know only 3 boxes were delivered as that is all we have and I know he never knocked on the door. I haven’t been sent any photographic evidence as they told me they would. Which clearly shows that she was lying. Why they can’t help either by refunding or just sending out what I ordered is beyond me!”
“Lowest quality raw I've ever come across. After feeding raw for 4 years previous to finding this brand I thought I would try DAF which was a complete waste of money.
The smell from the packs were horrendous before they were fully defrosted or opened. Once they were open I found large pieces of sharp bone throughout, small pieces of plastic and the disgusting smell was pungent.
As I have multiple dogs I had purchased numerous packs and upon checking the others found them all to be the same. I had to wrap and seal them before binning outside.
I would recommend anyone who values their dogs health to avoid.”
“Nice and fresh. My boy loves it however I have to go thro it and remove some pieces of bone about half to inch in size that have not been ground finer otherwise he starts coughing to remove stuck pieces if bone from his throat then he's sick. In think this needs to be looked into before a dog actually chokes.”

“I have been using DAF for about 6 months but the quality of their food varied every time offer it contained a lot more bone and skin that was adverted. on the last delivery the food was clearly off and when i open a few packs the smell made me sick it was that bad. I phoned they to complain and they offered to collect it and test it. They did collect but never let me know the test results if they even bothered to test it. Every time I rang they would just say they would chase it up and get back to me but never did. Also I have been chasing them for a refund for 3 months now and over 50 phone calls and always get the same answer we will look into it and get back to you but guess what never get that call back. sometimes as soon as you said the word "refund" they would just hang up on you. Support your local business yes you will pay more but the quality will be so much better. I now use Natural Dogs Direct and wow what a difference in quality. My Dog is so much happier”

“Left our order outside yet again after having phoned yesterday to double check a note had been put on our delivery slip to put our order in the outbuilding freezer which was all left unlocked for the driver. Before the last two orders we've never had a problem with daf deliveries, drivers have never had a problem putting items in the freezer. Our dogs food is defrosted, again. And you've only sent four of the eight items. On our last order items were substituted without asking. Absolutely sick of the poor service recently, you order your dogs food to make life easier, now I'm having to go to a local supplier to buy more dog food because daf yet again, have been incapable of doing their job. Why bother updating your website and putting the price of your items up if you lose customers due to continuous mistakes like this?”
