EBAY for sellers : WARNING. This selling site not for the faint of heart. I have been on the eBay platform for more than 16 years and have a 100% satisfaction rating as seller (and buyer). On a recent clearly false return request by a buyer, I was totally surprised by the difficult loops I had to jump through to get eBay on my side and to agree with my standpoint. After numerous and strenuous email messages, I finally was put in the right and all related expenses to this “sale” were reinstated on my account. This whole procedure definitely left a sour taste in my mouth. The criticism one can read on several social media stating that eBay always (at first) side with the buyer is an understatement. They hardly open a case in favor of their sellers. I did not know but know now! Furthermore, eBay controls completely how and when they will perform a payout to you, the seller. They keep your banking details as a hostage. You cannot close your seller’s account since you cannot remove your bankdetails from it - without eBay’s approval. This entire ordeal was very scary for me. I felt totally helpless and at the mercy of big eBay! Luckily, it turned out OK for me. I intend not to go through such trauma again. I am moving my items to other selling sites.

Worse market place to sell jewellery! Huge comisions 12.9% + shop subscription + vat, plus fixed price for every item sold. At the end of the day the buyers end up paying all this in one way or another. But the worst of all is that they are allowing fraudulent sellers on the platform and the legitimate bussines are not. If you want overpriced jewellery as buyer go to buy it on ebay or gold look alike ..gold on silver .gold look alike ...fake diamonds .. and so on. As seller after many years allowing ebay to keep several tens of pounds in comisions and literally hundreds of calls to sort out issues, ironically created by ebay can not recommend it enough if you want to lose money and time ! Recommendation .. rather than buying jewellery in ebay simply look after the shop name as they do have their own website in google (at least the serious sellers ) and contact them directly you still have the same right of returns and the security of buying from reputable jewellery but most probably you will get the item 20% cheaper. Horrible experience overall with ebay, agents that gives you instructions to do something then other " asking apologies for the recommendation of the colleagues " ...plenty of " we understand your frustration" and at the end of the day just time waste. Long story short ...ebay is good for private sellers to sell unwanted items before to take to skip, but not for reputable jewellers or any bussines.

i've sold a pair of boots on ebay, the seller made a dispute on the pretence that the size was wrong and asked for a return. 5 months later i don't have neither the boots nore the money even though ebay stoped 30 euros more from the account for the return expences. During this period i've tried all the steps required by ebay with the answer being the same all the time"the resolution was closed in favour of the buyer". so now im being fu..ed by the buyer with the help of ebay.

EBAY CHEATS RETIRED MARINE VETERAN OUT OF $142.82 On September 16, 2023, the retiree ordered three lights from one of ebay’s sellers, thestoreoftheyear12. On September 23, 2023, the old man received an email from ebay telling him his ordered was delivered. He quickly ran out and checked by the front door—nothing. He went to the mailbox—nothing. He checked with his neighbors—nothing. So he contacted the seller and explained that, while the email says the order was delivered, it was not. The seller told him to do those things he had already done and let them know. On September 25, 2023 the veteran called the United States Postal Service at (800) 275-8777 and asked them if the item was delivered to his address. The representative to him it was delivered to his city, state, and zip code, but to a street address that was not his own. He communicated this to the seller and they said the tracking says it was delivered, “reach out to ebay.” He also showed the seller that the United States Postal Service’s tracking only shows that the package was delivered to a city, state, and zip code. Not to a specific address. Therefore, the package in this case could have been delivered to any one of 35,670 people who live in retiree’s city, state, and zip code. He presented evidence showing that the pack was not delivered to him ebay. Ebay’s reply was that the seller says it was delivered. Case closed. Where is ebay’s due diligence? They claim to have a money back guarantee policy, but in this instance, they failed to validate the buyer’s evidence and provide a refund. It is sad to know that a company with a net worth of $26.68 billion must resort to stealing from people whose only mistake was trusting the legitimacy of ebay’s obviously false promises. Caveat emptore!

I am a new seller on ebay, and so far they have done nothing but discourage me from moving on. Absolutely useless! They just have scripts they follow and that's it. The last time I talked to them, they literary flipped me off! They keep my money for a month and a half, even though the buyer talked to them on chat, and confirmed that the product was delivered, and that he is very satisfied. I don't even know if this is legal or not. I had to retract all my products, from sale, because I can't afford to pay for them Transport. While Ebay uses my money.

I sold an item that costed £22.90, fare enough I was charged £3.23 on fees, but I was only given £3.29 instead of £19.67, when I asked them about that, they had charged me more fees. They're thieves and scams.

To put it mildly, I don't believe there a Customer Service department worse than that at Ebay. It is absolutely amazing, no matter what help you need, what question you ask, you will always get the pre-scripted response. "eBay protocol,,,,BLAH BLAH BLAH" What is even sadder than that, is how hard it is to communicate with the "customer service" assistants. 1) not very understandible, or not quite ready for communicating in English 2) not capable of actually considering what the full question is. 3) not responding in any way other than robotic. 4) not turning down background noise) eBay has set a new standard, for incompetent customer service. eBay is sincerely at the bottom of the list

The majority of eBay orders are problematic, many times the purchase arrives very late, many purchases do not arrive at all, much of the information provided regarding the reliability of the sellers is not correct in the results test, When demanding a refund, they delay and postpone to later dates, which is a vile thing and disrespects the customer, you should stay away from this platform

Sold a brand new Xbox series X on ebay without any fore knowledge on how absolutely ridiculous their fees are. Long story short after promoting and then selling it for $280 i only received $177 for it after these greedy motherless phucks bent me over with all their "fees" PLEASE learn from my horrifying mistake and sell your stuff literally ANYWHERE else, lest you don't mind being bent over and and dogged from behind with a sand paper condom!

Ebay is a company that fails to follow it’s own policies. The defend buyer and refund them, no questions asked. In my case, I sold a new sheepskin jacket. After 21 (!) days of use, the seller complained that there were two stains on it and wanted a refund. I obviously refused. Ebay answered to NONE of my mails, refunded the buyer and let him keep the jacket. Now they want to get the money from me??? That’s surely not going to happen! PLEASE BEWARE IF YOU USE THIS FRAUDULOUS SITE! In case of problems, they will not help you in any way!!!!

are you looking for help to recover your lost Bitcoin? CP-INVESTIGATION.C0M can help you contatct them and be happy again. Stay away from them for your own good. They do not pay. I deposited a whole lot of figures with them and when it was time to withdraw profits I could not. After a week I could no longer login. They shut me out and were not available to help me. I was not ready to let go of that account because I had over $700,000 in there and there is no way I was letting it go. I got help finally from CP-INVESTIGATION, COM after filing a complaint. I finally got back my funds with and profit due my account too. I thank my stars I filed that complaint.

I ordered 4 items in the 31st August 2023. 3 of the payments went through, the last payment was stopped as 'something went wrong'. I then received a message that my account has been permanently suspended as my pattern of activities pose a risk. After 5 queries, I received no explanation whatsoever with a reply of 'no further opportunity for appeal on this decision'. This is a personal attack on my integrity and a very sad state of affairs. Clearly, eBay has no idea what Customer Relations means. It looks like I am fortunate as some of the reviews that I have now read are really scary and I can be considered lucky to have been one-sidedly cut off from any further transactions.

I have had a bad experience with eBay. First the quality of trouser I order was very low rather poor. On the other hand eBay has a sadly a very bad return order system when I was returning the order back I by mistake clicked the return close button and the close return mean permanently close I can not ask for return and refund now. It was just 15 pounds not a big refund but I will think hundred times to buy something on eBay. Thank you very much eBay I am very sad and unsatisfied.

I have been an Ebay user for years, buying and selling. I had a high seller rating, and purchased form a lot of great seller. Ebay at some point had lost all my information and I had to start back from zero, Ok so I will just build it back. In 2015 redid my account, not so much to start selling, but to buy things. With that being said, since then I have had a spinal cord injury and became a quadriplegic and it has taken me awhile to get back to doing things. This past week I started selling again, because I'm on a very limited income. I made a couple of sales, but they would not release the funds because they didn't show any past history, because they had wiped out my prier account. Long story short, I need the funds to be able to pay shipping, and they won't release the fund to me so I can ship. Even though the lost all my older information about being an A+ seller. Ebay has had other issues, but im done, plenty of other platforms to use online to sell, that a definitely more enjoyable and less headaches.

Second time in a year that a seller has taken my money but 'forgotten' to send the order. Tired of chasing up orders. Now eBay are giving me the runaround with endless requests to reset my password and log in - again and again and again.
