Usually there are no troubles with sellers. In case this happens eBay solve them very quikly and Customer Support is great! Costumers may use Paypal, and this is great!

Sold an item,on collection only basis. Buyer paid, I gave available times and days for collection but the buyer was too dense to understand and collection failed as courier didn't collect. Buyer tried for refund, ebay rejected claim. All good, I thought. But, no. Buyer opened claim through their bank or PayPal, and I was adjudged to be in the wrong as ebay did not supply them with all the relevant information,in cluding that the buyer had been very abusive towards me. I wish to make a claim against the financial institution involved but ebay refuse to divulge that information. Stinks of a cover up to me and ebay can no longer be trusted

slow proccessing of funds 4 days holds put on payouts when item had been posted and sign for only interested in looking after buyer

I sold a game console for £250. Ebay took £32 as selling fee. If that wasn't enough, they held my payment for over two weeks as I hadn't sold for a while. I have been with ebay for nineteen years now and have been a loyal customer with 100 per cent feed back. I was relying on the money for Christmas , because of the late release of funds I have been overdrawn with my bank. I feel like ebay has gone right down hill and are just after the money they can make out if you. I shall be selling elsewhere in future

Ebay has become a cesspool of scammers AND ebay wont fix the problem! I bought an item as a "Guest" and can not email seller nor will ebay help without me "signing up"! I am out $$$ for Christmas. Thanks EBAY!!!!!

Don't give your SSN to E-bay! We even don't know who they are because they hide their fax number, address and other information from us! They are going to use your personal data tor their own profit or, to resell to third parties. One day you may find yourself homeless because someone who has your SSN and Birthdate sold your home for you! The IRS does not require to report any sales for used items and, you do not have to file the taxes for any amounts under 4,500 regardless of income source: wages, unemployment, etc. When I make less than this amount, my son reports me as a dependent on his taxes to get refund from IRS.

Ebay lets their sellers screw over their customers. 15 years ago I kept getting screw over by Crooked sellers so I quit buying from them. I thought I would try them again. Well ordered an item and was sent an item that did not fit. The seller tells me I ordered the wrong item. Ok well then he says he does not except returns. So now I have an item that I don't need. Ebay has offered nothing. It is listed item return closed. I have to say I knew better. What kind of Company does not except returns? What if it is broken? They just let them send you what ever they are trying to get rid of and say no returns what a concept. First part of that word is right Con. I think now I have finally learned my lesson. Will not buy from EBay again.

I was a member of ebay for 17 years, 100 percent satisfaction record both as a seller and buyer. Recently I sold 2 items, Ebay then then said AFTER the sales that they were witholding the money for over 1 month as they had changed their terms of service and no longer pay with paypal ( they still accept paypal) I told them I wanted to cancel the sale as I was counting on the money for christmas- they promptly banned me from selling! Also they were going to charge over 150 dollars for a 780 dollar sale- Ebay has become a terrible business. My advice, don't trust them, don't use them, go to a cheaper and fairer way of selling!

The new ebay for sellers is terrible.You get charged ridiculous fees for selling your products,like “final value fee”.I got charged a 4,50£ fee for selling a 30£ product…

EBay and seller scammed me by selling me an iCloud locked apple series 7 watch. On ctcing ebay I was told I need to talk to seller and in the event the seller blocked me and I lost my $272 Please do not use eBay I have reported but in vain coz I am just an ordinary buyer and eBay is running this scam platform. Please careful I can’t get my money but want to caution you guys.

Do not believe or rely on their protection policy.not only do they do nothing to prevent the sale of counterfeit goods,their policies actively perpetuate it.

The new Ebay system for sellers is terrible. Not only that but the customer services set up is equally bad. I have used Ebay for years. I will not be using it again

Avoid buying expensive stuffs on eBay!!!! I got scammed with a a laptop, it arrived block and I asked for a return and eBay provided me with the QR code and i suggested to get a insurance shipping label but the seller was highly aggressive and abusive and he denied my suggestion so I contacted eBay costumer service and they told me not to worry, if the item got lost they were going to refund me because I used their QR code and I sent back the item and the item got stuck in transit and then lost. I contacted eBay and this seller opened a case about the item and sent a letter from “usps” saying that I never dropped off the package, when I have a receipt and witnesses from usps that saw dropping off the item they refused to believe me, even when I sent screenshots from this scammer threatening my own life, he told me “he knows where I live” and they still closed the case in the scammer favor and they don’t want to refund my money, even though I already gave up the item and my money, i spoke with the usps inspector from my local area and he wrote me a letter saying that did dropped off the item and they still refused to pay my money which was a total amount of $1316.09 so i basically got scammed and eBay won’t help even if they know this “seller” is a scammer they are protecting him, and not helping their costumers. Never buying on eBay and I hope this experience help you to not commit my same errors, DONT TRUST EBAY

Seriously gone down hill recently, sold a item for £10 and was charged ridiculous fees then kept my money for 16 days. Proffered it when we could use e bay for selling items. Won't be using ever again or recommend this site

Well, it’s absolutely dishonest and horribly customer service. A fraudulent platform trying to extort money that I never received in the first place. After long years a shaming place that should be shut down for fraud.

Order a product free shipping from e-bay, payment was taken immediately. The item never got delivered and they started asking for 49$ for shipment charges, when I replied that I want the money back as shipment charge was not part of deal from the start they replied they will charge 39$ for handling, no product received and no refund made so far. Amazon orders are far more better.

Signed up to ebay today as I wanted to buy a pair of shoes. I have never used ebay before. Proceeded to checkout - account suspended. Emailed customer care. They replied that i was suspended for ever to save the ebay community! Replied- I could'nt care less. I will never use ebay again if this is how they treat customers. The whole thing sounds very dodgy.

Item described as TWO packages of of file folders. I paid for two and received ONE!! Because I received 1/2 the order, eBay said I received the whole order and closed my complaint leaving the seller with the money and one of the items. If you get your item, it's OK, but if you have a problem, they don't care.

I dropped off a package at USPS and got my receipt for my records. The package gets lost after USPS has it in their possession and eBay refunds the buyer. How am I responsible for USPS losing the package? Also, the buyer chose the shipping method without insurance. eBay said I was not responsible and closed the case then 4 hours later I get a notification that eBay reopened the case and sided with the buyer and denied my appeal. I will never sell on eBay again. It's not worth it. eBay will always side with the buyer regardless of the situation. I'm done!!
