“Had 3 items effectively blatantly stolen from me via eBay (payments reversed after items sent, misuse of returns, false claims on low value items that aren’t worth returning due to postage costs). EBay difficult to contact and deal with. Keep setting issues to ‘resolved’ forcing you back to step 1 of their painful processes. Sometimes don’t respond at all until you start another case to ask why they haven’t responded to a previous one. Never any help whatsoever on any of these problems despite obvious buyer problems. Buyers still have 100% positive feedback because sellers can’t give them feedback. Would not trust eBay for anything really.”

“I have no faith in ebay. I had order a stone in March. Did not receive it. Seller said send again did not come. Said they return money did not said again will return money. Asked for ebay help. They said item not covered on guarantee. Then seller said having trouble with PayPal can not return money. What really got me is they offered me 5% off next order from them.”

“I am an Ebay Canada customer, many things I bought were good, but my experience is that I bought several brand name Tissot watches for over 100 Canadian dollars, from India. I received the watches, I took them to a watchmaker for inspection and I was surprised that none of them had the original machine everyone had a MIYOKA machine, their machine had been replaced by another and they still sell it as TISSOT. recommend if you buy watches from India pay a visit to watchmaker to see if you were scammed I am sorry that Ebay has no control over this because this is called a scam”

“We bought several model cars for my son's birthday! And, most of them had something wrong with them! Most of them, A LOT wrong!!! Sellers on this site are a bunch of lyin' creeps, looking for easy bucks!!! I will never buy from ebay ever again!!! Avoid at all costs!!!!”

“I brought an expensive pari of earrings.. they were not as described on the site . After two independent jeweler reviews I sent them back to the address on the sellers shipping package. The seller said she moved but no problem she had a forwarding address. Its had been over a month .. she continues to forward her address, so USPS is play catchup; four times already in 30 days. I am out of pocket $$$$'s. Ebay continues to support the seller instead of discipling the seller for fraudulent activity of misrepresentation, constantly moving . Iam an activist will continue to write on every website, FTC and social platform about how I was bilked on EBAY; EBAY teammate said they would discipline the seller for constantly using "forwarding address" by July7th, but to date has done nothing to reign in a scammer vendor on the EBAY platform. BUYER BE WARE”

“Ebay only care about buyers. I listed an item on Ebay and the buyer paid £800 on 4th July, I dispatched item straight away and he received the item on 6th July so deal done...or so I thought as Ebay have put my money on hold until at least 18th July?????? Bought, paid for and received in 2 days yet I have to wait for my money for 14 days???? They said they do this to make me a better seller.....bulls**t”

“Do not put your business in this companies hands. We have had more damage done to our business by ebay than any other factor. Mostly this is due to incorrect demotion of our account from Top Rated. “Never sell though ebay. I lost lots of money by selling single items because of their fees that you have to pay. I sold an item for£ 190 but got paid by ebay £155 plus my own postage. Its ablosolutle rediculous.”

“I opened a LTD company to trade on this platform, created an account, made 0 listings 0 actions and got permanent ban in 45 minutes. Only reason I can see for ban is that I am a ukrainian person, so will try to file a lawsuit against them and will update the review with my progress. Would stroungly discourage any small business to use this platform. Support did not even try to resolve my issues, just standard response texts.”

“I was one of the first buyers on Ebay I have purchased almost 800 items over the years when Ebay just cancelled my account for no reason I could not get any explanation for why or any help in getting my account back. I missed shopping on Ebay so I created a new account well guess what my new account has been CANCELLED THEY REFUSE TO ACCEPT MY PASSWORD AND WHEN I GET A NEW PASSWORD THEY REFUSE TO ACCEPT IT. I never had any bad feedback all those years. Well thank goodness for Esty they seem to love me shopping with the, Ebay is putting themself out of business I also have a friend this happened to WHO IN THE WORLD DON'T WANT GOOD FAST PAYING CUSTOMERS OF 20 YEARS WELL THAT WOULD BE GOOD OLD EBAY.”

“Just use ebay to buy, do not use to sell things. Too many scammers and ebay don't care, scammers excuse are "they have been hacked", "someone else purchased it" and charge back galore, and if you get a charge back you end up with a charge back processing fee. Not worth the money and hassle of wasted time and loss of your money. Good thing I use ebay less now.”

“eBay shut down my accounts with an email informing me I had abused eBay's buyer policy by not returning items I had raised returns for. Firstly that statement is incorrect and secondly why would you not return an item you want refunded?! I dedicated 9 months to building up my business buying and selling jewellery on eBay. With one email eBay stopped my main income stream and ruined my reputation (I had sales and refunds in progress). I am now treated as an outcast and can't even get through to speak to anyone that can review my case. Buying occasionally from eBay is probably fine if you know what you are doing i.e in order to avoid fakes and scams. But don't ever assume your relationship with eBay will be a long one as they can dump you quickly with no explanation!”
