Be ware of the free insertion fees and other free charges. Ebay will mark up fees like final values on the other end. I am paying 20% for final value fees after activating, no insertion fee. If you get tot talk with a person about a problem, he or she barely understands English.

Please see the letter which was sent to eBay 21.07.19 . I have had no response and almost every day get emails saying i OWE THEM MONEY !AND THEY WILL BE REFERRING IT TO A COLLECTIONS AGENCY IF I DO NOT PAY ! Each time I response with the same letter I am still waiting for a response but nothing ever comes back . I fyou read my letter below it will explain what has happened . The situation has really made me never after about 10 years or more of using them want to use this corrupt callus company again . Dear Sir Madam I would like to raise a complaint and would like it investigated with a reply and resolution no later than seven days from the date of this letter. I recently listed a Xplore caravan on eBay, I did not realise that the free listing fee that I had been messaged with time and time again did not apply to what is classed as motor vehicle. It was not until I received an invoice for £150. 56 that I realized that the listing fees and reserve price set was going to cost this much, I honestly thought I had free listing and only had to pay fees once the Caravan was sold on behalf of my sister and brother in law. I was extremely distressed at this amount been taken out of my account as this had made me overdrawn and honestly has caused me financial hardship. I cancelled the item as I was absolutely petrified more money was going to be taken out of my account , Maybe this amount of money does not seem a lot to you ? however to myself it is , especially when I believed the listing was free. The amount taken is substantial enough to have a negative financial and personal wellbeing impact on me. Then I receive an email to say my account had been suspended for violation!! This totally totally mortified me, and I could not focus at work all day So, I did not sleep all night as I felt so worried, so I called your contact centre at 4am in the morning , Yes 4am this is the impact your actions as a company have had on me I wanted to query what had happened !!! The customer service adviser explained it was down to reservation fees and listing fees and it had automatically kept relisting itself – I had not opted for this and again feel really mislead and poorly informed but she said there was nothing she could do and said there is another £250 outstanding on your account because I have violated eBay rules . I asked her to explain and because a question had been raised and I had given my brother in laws number out, as he was on holiday and I thought it quicker for them to discuss direct what the details were of the caravan. This is where I have been accused of selling out of eBay policy!! And violation of the rules. I have raised the fact that you are reading messages in my account to then make wrong assumptions on the matter with a legal representative as to whether under the new GDPR that possibly you are in breach of privacy rules , this matter is currently being investigated . The caravan is still on my sister’s drive (please feel free to send out one of your investigation team to see for yourselves. I signed up to try and sell with eBay and would not even consider as to be so corrupt to use the site to advertise and then sell independently to someone if they had initially come through eBay. I explained this time and time again, but the adviser continually followed a scripted answer that was just repetitive and unhelpful. I requested to have this escalated, but no one was available, and I was told I had to wait for a call back in the next 24 hours. It was longer than 24 hours causing even more distress as having to wait to speak to a senior member of staff for this long seems incredible for a company of your stature and size , Do you agree ? However, I spoke to a supervisor, who listened to me and then said it was quite clear that I was genuine, and had it not been my intention to breach the eBay policy. I said so would you consider cancelling the fees for me then? She said no and then followed the scripted answer that was by now becoming familiar to me. I asked to speak to someone more senior than her as a supervisor, she said she was the top person !!! and I challenged do you not report to a manager? apparently not? eBay structure must be very different to most corporate companies if this is the case a supervisor usually has a manager to report to ? My question to you as a company is how you can assume that someone has breached a policy by just looking at a message in their eBay account and assume they sold an item outside of eBay and then charge the individual a ridiculous amount of money with any real evidence. Its like hanging a man without having real facts or a reason to do so!! As you can see I’m usually a buyer with eBay and never sell Unfortunately your poor clarity, lack of detail and poor decision making has lead to me being emotionally effected and left me as stated before in financial hardship. I expect you will investigate this matter accordingly and consider the details of this matter fairly. My expectation is you act responsibly taking in to account the emotional distress and financial impact this has on me. I look forward to your reply. Kindest regards

E-bay does not help in recovering losses when an unscrupulous seller is able to sell stolen merchandise on E-bay and then fraudulently has the merchandise returned but will not refund the original payment.

Every time I sell something on Ebay they put a hold on my funds, and they don't even give interest on the money...even though I have a 100% positive rating! That is a scam practice. Even when I put the tracking number in immediately and it is shipped out. They also charge me to list the item, take money out when the item is sold and Paypal takes their cut also. I don't mind the fees, but I DO have a problem with them holding onto my funds and not giving interest. I think I will lodge a complaint with the Attorney General on this.

eBay have the cheek of the devil and are corrupt! I sell on eBay a lot and recently when relisting items they are removing my best offer price and halving it! How dare you do this! Who the hell do you think you are to dictate what I should consider as an offer? You have no right whatsoever to do this and I am reporting you to Watchdog with proof! Also when relisting an item a message comes up with two options, 'turn on easy pricing', in other words allow eBay to dictate what you price should be so you make no money, or 'maybe next time'. HOW ABOUT NEVER! Worst, most corrupt selling platform on earth, disgusting despicable vultures picking at the bones of sellers. Ebay is becoming a parasitic worm feeding off the flesh of sellers, never have I come across a worse selling platform in all my internet selling days. They give thieves money back too, no such thing as seller protection, filthy corruption at its most blatant worst! They are nothing short of pick pockets.

Couldn’t give zero stars or else I would!! Unfortunately I have become victim to the eBay GSP scam....buyer purchased small value item, seller sends item, buyer fraudulently says not as described, cost of return postage has to be covered by seller, return postage cost more than the item. Buyer gets refund and gets to keep the item. WIN WIN for the buyer. LOSE LOSE for the seller. Customer services are as much use as a chocolate fire guard!!

I'm a new seller on eBay and everytime I reach the threshold so my PayPal money is no longer on hold they increase the threshold! When I contact them they never answer the question as to why? Yet eBay and PayPal have no problems taking their share out of it! 1 big scam in my opinion!

They treat their sellers with no respect. Always a issue. They pulled money for items I did not sell and I seeked resolution. Almost two and half weeks later nothing. Nothing to speed up the large amount stolen from me. They lent no assistant. No care my bills are unpaid and my account negative. They then pushed me off on PayPal like I was no concern anymore. eBay is awful to their sellers and are unprofessional

Every time I have to deal with Ebay, there is always a problem! First, I purchased a item and returned it because it was not the right product and Ebay refused to refund me! Secondly, I sold a item for the first time yesterday and the money the buyer sent me through PayPal was placed on hold and I was told that it was because it was my first time selling. I was told that my money will be taken off hold when the seller gets the item. Well, I'm not going to just send the product without getting my money first! SCAMMER! These are not the only issues I've had!

Don't sell stuff on Ebay. There is no seller's protection. Nasty business. They allow bidders walk away from bid to ruin your auction. They allow scammers purchase your item and claim its fault to get money back so you end up paying the postage and getting a broken item. Avoid this company you can, use facebook market place. Its all free as well.

I’ve had good & bad things with EBay I’ve found now you sell genuine item people expect refund because it doesn’t fit Or not to pay postage on a dress worth £60 they pay £10 for what do they expect wish I had taken it to the charity shop. Get more respect I have brought some lovely things & cheap books off here

I'd had some good experience with Ebay several years ago... but recently I used them to buy a refurbished I-phone (Diamond Wireless-3rd party vendor) after updating my new address info online and by phone support. I ordered phone online and even after confirming my new address w Ebay phone support, it was sent to the old address 100's of miles away. I immediately notified all (Ebay and their 3rd party vendor-Diamond Wireless) that the ship to address was incorrect as soon as soon as I was e-notified it had been mailed (wasn't scheduled to be delivered for 4 days via FedEx). I had asked Ebay and Diamond Wireless to have it returned or re-routed to the correct address and Ebay said "no worries"... file a claim when you get notif it arrived at wrong address. The clueless person at Diamond Wireless said, "Oh just mail it back and we'll refund". Ebay supervisor claimed it was covered by some kind of "built-in" delivery insurance (pure lie). Diamond Wireless is even worse than Ebay... caveat emptor. I did notify Ebay and Diamond Wireless again when FedEx sent me notif of delivery to wrong address and Ebay immediately denied claim. Poor customer support and supervisors who simply lie to cover their rear ends. Ebay and Diamond Wireless are very simply crooks in my opinion. I ended up taking a day off work to drive 400 miles round trip and spending $50 on gas to retrieve the package from the new homeowner and mailed back to Diamond Wireless w return notif. at my expense. DW still tried to hang onto my $$. CAVEAT EMPTOR. If you buy a refurb phone on Ebay beware. I ended up using Back Market, not Ebay, and I got an excellent product with excellent support. I would give Back Market 5 stars. Ebay gets no more business from me.

eBay does not use a good shipper. Same item bought on eBay took 15 days. Amazon to 5 days. Amazon ships faster international. eBay uses third party shipping international. Can get a straight answer from eBay on shipping. Call Amazon about shipping they tell when you will get your purchase. You get refunds almost immediately, eBay you get a run around.”"0
