“A few weeks ago I ordered something off of eBay the seller said everything was in stock I sent my money and then the seller said it was not in stock I've been dealing with eBay for almost two weeks now and I've been getting the run-around what I say is if you s if you want to donate donate to a shelter not to eBay!”

“First time buyer. Bought a red fedora hat. It arrived crushed and was not as described. Seller would not acknowledge my complaint. Tried to take advantage of Ebay's money back warranty but all I got was a runaround for days.”

“eBay took $800 from me and is making it very difficult to get a refund. To the world never by no kind of vehicle or anything over $100 from cause it's a great chance you will go through hell like me.”

“Ebay only looks to benefit off of sellers. They don’t care about the costumer or if they get sold a product that doesn’t match description. This website needs to be shut down for all the scams it allows the sellers to get away with.”

“eBay is not a safe place to sell your items. I have become a victim of the fraud from the buyer (I have sent an item and have never received the payment for it) and eBay customer service did nothing to help me and was rather annoyed I'm asking for their help at all. DO NOT USE IT! They will charge you the fee if everything goes well, but they won't take any responsibility if anything goes wrong.”

“resolve center send you to circle for days seller send me to item in one package when i opened its was only one so i contact the seller by phone then by message he used all excuses promising he send 2nd package with tracking reference by the way you cannot trace after weeks resolve center which asking me to send order back for refund WHAT ORDER I DID NOT RECEIVED and i am in circle after few years been on ebay with 100% reputation i thinking to leave its not only”

“WARNING! In my opinion Ebay are facilitating fraud. Buyers can very easily abuse eBay's return system to aquire property by deception and unfortunately eBay do very little or nothing to try and prevent it. I have been buying/selling on for around 20 years, since 2000, but after being scammed by a Buyer recently and watching eBay do nothing to help me, I have decided I won't be using the site anymore. Ebay simply allowed the scam to proceed and then gave my money to the thief, even though I repeatedly asked them to stop the scammer. Sellers are charged a premium rate of 10% but they do not receive a premium service. Ebay is NOT a safe place to sell items. Before you attempt to sell an item, Ebay should make it very clear that Buyer's can easily lose their property and money, there's nothing they or eBay can do about it.”

“Stick with Amazon!! Ebay is the worst!! They've gone way down hill!! Ebay sides with the seller when the seller sends the buyer an incorrect product and will not refund money. I even sent pictures to the seller proving they sent me the wrong item. Ebay does not even allow the consumer to give their side of the story or to appeal the decision. If I click on appeal the decision, the site tells me the decision cannot be appealed. Ummm???? It does not allow me to respond to emails Ebay sent me siting their decision. What kind of customer service joke is this??? You allow your sellers to just steal from the buyers??? Not cool Ebay. Not cool!! They're just a bunch of crooks and scammers!! Amazon is way better!! They have a much better customer service department. Yep..sticking with Amazon!!”

“As a buyer, I consider that Ebay does not endorse the secure purchase guarantee. Buy some items from a seller called pro_motor_g (20760). The seller sent me half of the merchandise that was supposed to form my order. Now Ebay indicates that my claim and possibility of return is closed because the company does not accept my claim. It seems that EBAY is supporting sellers to keep the buyers' money, because they have not answered me either.”

“eBay used to be a good company but apparently they don’t believe in protecting their buyers anymore. I was hacked on their site and saw my item was sent somewhere else. They basically told me there’s nothing they can do for me they’re not gonna refund my money and I just got completely screwed. They are not a very good company anymore and hopefully someone comes up with something much better so that everybody can leave eBay and let them see how it feels Never got the refund”

“One of the sorriest companies I have ever dealt with. Ebay is all about the money and does not care about ethics or decent customer service for the buyers and sellers using their website. I have gotten burned by them one too many times and am fed up.”

“Ordered car seat covers from icecream2661 - eBay. They were not fit for purpose, so I returned them via Royal Mail at a cost of £3.00. Icecream2661 have asked for returns details, but there is no facility on their site to attach photo of proof of postage. They have had their goods returned but have helped themselves to £20.99 from my credit card account. Obviously a scam. Tantamounts to theft. Will never use or trust eBay again.”

“To everyone out there and hope you get this. Do not trust these people (Ebay) bunch of thieves. Made a purchase with my debit card for 717usd & for some reason their affiliate PayPal debited my account & now they are saying that they cannot revolve my issue and to sort it out with PayPal. What rubbishy is this? Devan”

“I started an ebay account a few days ago, thought I would check out a few cool/unique psv consoles from japan. Found the item I wanted, klicked "buy now" updated my PayPal information, was in the middle of the money transaction and... I get suspended? Me as a buyer in the middle of paying gets suspended. I Got a weird e-mail about "suspicious activity" which made me real nervous. Mainly cos it looked like the payment (it was quite a lot) went through.. and here I sit clueless, suspended and helpless. I immediately contacted ebay customer service with the issue, and long story short: they didn't explain anything, about 5 different employees going on about some security issue and wanting really sensitive info about me (passport info, social security number, copy of Phone Bills etc..) I refused! I felt violated. Would you take it nicely if a person walked up to you on the street accusing you of stealing when you're innocent? Of course not. I have now read hundreds of people being suspended with no explanation and their money stuck in PayPal. Most of them never saw their money again. Avoid, there are better online shops out there.”

“What scumbags....They pull a listing selling face masks for a reasonable $14 for 10 but they allow people to sell toilet paper for $20 a roll and advertise that "Ebay has toilet paper" Good job Ebay”
