The product looks great and is easy to work with - overall with the money and a year on still looking great. I ordered 3.4 m lengths and they all came at 3.6m (within the tolerance, but annoyingly a bit longer than I wanted) to eliminate cutting and reduce wastage - in fact there wasn't any wastage. All the hard work is in the building the sub-structure. One point to note; the decking at 3.4m is quite flexible, heavy and slippery. The 3rd party delivery service was very poor and they had to break open the package and unload by hand - stressful. Tip, order a bit extra just in case.

Excellent service, ecodek timber delivered to my door, all cut to the correct length. Using the colour matched screws and countersinking drill bit the deck was simple to install ( even for me as a complete novice). It looks great, feels nice to walk on (warm on a sunny day) and fingers crossed will last and last !!! Stu Wise

Julie dealt with my order very well indeed One thing I would say is that your quote format is not the easiest to understand That said products were delivered in good condition and the deck looks fantastic Steve Conway

I'm a big Ecodek fan, having now completed my third project (garden decking plus two roof terraces). It's almost a fit-and-forget system, plus it looks great and is non-slip in the wet.

I allowed a reasonable budget for decking around 30 square metres of my small garden, as I knew I wanted a composite product that would last many years and be maintenance-free. When I began researching, I was shocked to find out how much some companies were charging just for supplying (let alone installing) their product. Ecodek were so far ahead on price, I was concerned that their product would fall short. This would be especially worrying as I had chosen to design and install the decking myself. Although I am fairly competent at DIY, this was something I had not done before. When I received the Ecodek samples I was reassured by the quality, but I was especially impressed with the service I received on telephone and email (from Julie), who took great care in discussing my order (and silly questions) with me. The only hiccup was when I received a telephone call from the man responsible for delivery (his name escapes me) who became quite argumentative about the price I had paid for delivery, which he claimed was inadequate for the order (despite me having agreed the order with the sales staff). Very strange - I put it down to him having an off day. The bottom line was I received the order on the right day and it was all there! The quality of the Ecodek product is superb. One piece of advice - get some friends to help you move the stuff - it's pretty heavy. I'm fairly fit, but unloading 75 boards from the lorry with only the driver was a stretch. I elected to build my deck frame from their 'Supastiff support beams': it seems to me that this is the bit that sits next to the damp ground. This was a good idea because it's sturdy stuff, but I'm glad I had all the right gear... a chop-saw was vital, but also a circular saw, a decent jigsaw, and a 'multicutter' was handy to get around difficult bits. When it comes to the construction, ideally you need three cordless devices: a drill for the pilot holes; another drill for the countersinking and a powerful screwdriver. Plus spare batteries for each! Ecodek provide an info sheet; as long as you follow this, plan thoroughly and allow enough time, the process is pretty straightforward - plus the internet has tons of videos on it! It took me a couple of weeks to complete an area around 7m x 4m, including a couple of steps and a bridge over a water feature. I would sincerely recommend this company and their product. I don't normally bother completing reviews, but I really am so pleased with the end result - it's exactly how I wanted my decking to look. It's been finished less than a year, so too early to comment on how the decking is weathering, but I've been out on it in all conditions and it's great: not slippery, easy to clean, very stable, and looks fantastic in the light brown that I chose (it does get hot in full sun!) Thank you, Ecodek.

Fabulous product - looks amazing, no more slippery deck when wet, easy to clean. Recommend getting the special drill bit - think it would have been very hard work to screw down without it. Absolutely love it. Old wooden deck needed to be replaced and I opted for this as its low maintenance and slip resistant - I'm on crutches and have no problems at all anymore. Its complimented by everyone who has seen it and I recommend it to anyone thinking of having a deck. Good range of colours too.

Top rate service from Ecodek, very helpful staff, examples sent arrived quickly and helped making our decision about the final colour of the deck boards, recommend asking for the sample pack. Delivery driver assisted with unloading the boards and was very polite. Laying the decking is the same as laying wood decking, the boards are solid not honeycomb so will not split in the frost or snow and the colour has not faded over the winter. The anti slip design is excellent I have to walk across the decking to the garage and not once have I slipped while its been wet unlike wooden decking. I very highly recommend composite decking and very highly recommend Ecodek for their top quality product and top rate service.

As I relied on my joiner to do the job he said the material was great to work with and without any doubt his skills provided a superb finished deck.

Great product, easy to self install. The cost was approximately 40% more than the wooden equivalent but life expectancy, no rotting, no treatment, no painting EVER makes this product real value for money. I'm very happy to recommend Ecodek. Everything they said was true, even the 'available for delivery' date they quoted was met. One happy customer Steve - Sunny Rhyl.

Have had ecodek in my garden now for 4 years. It keeps it's colour which is the key advantage over the normal wooden decking . It still needs jet washing to get leaf mould and oil off it after a winter period but comes up clean. In summer it gets pretty hot in direct hot sunlight but how often does that really happen ? Not a put off for me . A minor health warning would be that it can warp over time and where I have heavy large tubs in my garden I have had to move them to sit directly over the joists of the sub frame so that they don't distort the level of the deck by sinking in the places where the tubs were . Trouble with that is you cannot group your planters in quite the style you would have planned. Would still recommend however. Works well on steps too.

I am very pleased with the ecodek. It has stood up to its first winter in a very exposed position in Scotland extremely well.

I found the service, products, delivery od EcoDek very good. As a DIYer this is the first deck I've built and I found the EcoDek materials easy to work with during the build. In use the deck works great, the EcoDek isn't slippery, it's easy to clean and although some green mossy growth does develop over time (winter) it is slow to do so and easy to clean off. My only gripe is that bird droppings do seem to permanently discolour the deck if not immediately cleaned off. However the deck is much admired and I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Hi Angela - many thanks for your feedback. Bird droppings contain varying amounts of uric acid and in high concentration can be very corrosive to any surface it is deposited on…. As witnessed in the amount of damage it can cause to a cars paintwork. It is always advisable to clean off any bird dropping on the surface of ecodek as soon as possible to prevent any damage to the colour of the decking. Fortunately as the deck weathers any spot staining due to bird droppings should lessen with time.

The whole exercise was smooth and efficient. Lots of contact from Ecodek trough the whole process and delivered on time. My balcony looks great and I can't wait to get back out there when the weather warms up! I would certainly recommend the product and Ecodek.

Excellent customer service. Have bought this product several times and whilst fairly expensive it's well worth it. It is easy to lay and better than wooden decking. Laid two large raised decked areas. The first two years ago. It looks as good today as it did when I first laid it
