“I booked this flat for my family. It is an excellent flat and excellent location just off the royal mile and car parking space available. Close to lots of tourist attractions and Edinburgh being a compact city it's a good location to explore the city. Beautiful views over Holyrood park. It's a quiet flat and there is a concierge if you have any questions. Supermarket 2mins away and a bank at your front door as well as many good/excellent local bars and restaurants very close by.”
“We enjoyed very much our stay in this cosy, very well equiped flat on High Street: spacious living room and a great kitchen, nice bedrooms with an inspiring view on the Royal Mile and Arthur's Seat, two comfortable bathrooms. Our three children loved the flat (and the town)as much as we did, completely felt "at home" and we all would like to come back as soon as possible.”
“Highly recommended, a beautiful old style apartment, huge dining room with high ceilings, huge bay window, large dining table would seat 8. Big comfortable sofas and a wood burning stove, the lounge is definitely the star!
Well appointed kitchen, quality appliances, large larder fridge freezer, dual cooker, dish washer.
Single bathroom, bath, electric shower (slightly disappointing) toilet, not massive but quite functional. Bedrooms well furnished one double and one twin beds. Very comfortable with quality linen and towels, quiet and shutters in all rooms.
Parking (not mentioned in the advertisement) is in the next street, 5 minutes walk away, although for 2 cars. Location is good, 15 minutes walk to Centre of down and easy drive to the airport. Decent supermarket 2 minutes walk and good cafe at the bottom of Coates Gardens. Ignore the recommended Italian though, lousy food and very expensive!
Overall a lovely place to stay. Would definitely go back”
“Het appartement is ruim, schoon en ligt geweldig!
Zo van je verblijf in de uitgaansstraat van Edinburgh rollen; wat wil een mens nog meer? Lekkere restaurants, leuke pubs, mooie winkels etc.
Ondanks dat het midden in zo'n druk gebied ligt, is het er heerlijk rustig. Het dubbele glas houdt 99 % van het geluid buiten.
Kortom: een aanrader.”
“The flat is centrally located and accessible by bus, train and is close to most places one needs to see in Edinburgh. It is a bit small for 6 persons (it has only 2 bedrooms- but has a big airbed- and a small dining table) but we had been warned. The landlord is quite friendly and helpful. If it is spruced up a bit, the flat would be extremely attractive. However it does contain the necessities for a short stay. The local shops are close by too. We enjoyed our stay.”
“Excellent base for a stay in Edinburgh. Walking distance from main sights & just off bus route if needed. Flat has 'wow' factor - imaginative conversion of former school. Comfortable & well equipped. Tucked back from main road yet supermarket, shops etc just across the road. Will use again.”
“Right by Haymarket station, about 10/15 minute walk into town but nice a quiet apartment. We had 7 people sharing and it wasn't too cramped (might be better with 6 people though), lots of storage etc. Buses to Zoo/airport very frequent, close to take away/pubs and shops so you don't have to walk far for anything. Great value for money, would definitely stay again.”
“This flat is located minutes to Morningside main street in a very quite close. It is lovely inside, sunny and with great views. It is also very close to the Braids country park so you can go for great walks!”
“Very easy booking process and someone was on hand to pass on keys and explain how everything worked. Flat was large, warm and very well presented. Great value for money and i would be happy to book this flat again next time i'm in edinburgh.”
“I appreciated the location and the style of the apartment who provides the basic comfort needed. The area is great, I could visit almost everything without having to take the bus. Shops nearby. The minuses are: extra charge for international bank transfer altough my bank doesnt charge anything and I was given no other payment option, no proper blinds in bedrooms to prevent daylight from waking you up, no DVD player. Overall, I'm ready to stay there again though.”
“What an amazing place! I've stayed in a number of apartments before, but none compared to this. It really is a beautiful apartment, and plenty of thought has gone into ensuring its equipped with anything you're likely to need during a city break.
The Owner/Contact is a lovely chap, and the welcome basket that greeted us was a real treat.
I will be recommeding these apartments to friends and relatives, and we will most definitely be back at some point!”
“During the last week in January and first week in February we stayed at the above apartment in Portobello. The flat was excellent, but most of all I would like to mention the service that was provided by Angie Reid and her team. We had some problems with the central heating controls and within minutes Angie and her team had solved the problem and followed up to ensure everything was OK.
We have stayed in many locations in UK and around the world and it is nice to see that someone responds to any problems that might occur, it gives you confidence to return.
Thanks
Peter”
“I spent a week in this flat and I could not have been happier with it. It is on a relatively quiet street that has a view of the castle and it is only about a 15 minute walk to the Royal Mile and closer to Princes Street. The TV room and the kitchen are actually separate rooms, so there is plenty of space and everything you need in a flat in the heart of Edinburgh!”
