“You did excellent. Unfortunately I ordered the wrong mount based on the gun I have. What I didn't know is that the dovetail is larger than this base. I have contacted your team and they recommended that I change to a different mount. I returned the original mount and ordered the one you recommended. Can't thank you enough for your assistance.”
“I ordered the wrong rail. Needed one for 760 pump. Sent it back for exchange and even paid for postage for EGW to send it back to me.
I have emailed them 3 times. It has been week , I have heard nothing. I guess I am screwed. I rate them a 0 out of 5.”
Im sorry to hear that you had an unpleasant experience with EGW. We want to make sure our customers are taken care of and not ignored. I did find a response from our customer service a couple days after the inital request. Its possible that their response went to your spam folder. This is what the response said.
Barton,
We are short handed and extremely busy, I'm sorry if we did not answer in a timely manner but we are doing the best we can. Your return was processed on Friday, and a refund credited back to your credit card. There was no note enclosed with the item that was sent back stating that you needed an exchange.
We are out of stock on the 760 pic rails at the moment, they will not be back in stock for about a month.
Im sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with our company. We want to work with customers so they can get the correct part. It looks like the item that you ordered was our SKU 49295, which will fit Walther PPQs but not the 22lr version. We make a different mount that will fit the PPQ 22lr, the SKU is 49293. We are more than happy to exchange the mount for you.
“I really need to return the part. After ordering I figured out I could simply drill out the holes from the one I had previously purchased from you guys.”
“I had to file off to much material off of it and this made it very difficult to mount. I figured it would come ready to install i will have to buy another one and spend extra money to have it machined so it fits tight. I wish i would've known it needed to be machined to specs before hand.”
Im sorry to hear that you ran into issues when installing our mount. For the most part machining is not necessary when installing one of our mounts. We stay on the larger side of tolerances since we have no control over the the dovetail cut in the slide. We would rather have the mount be a press in fit or on the larger side than have it be too small and then there is no way to mount the dot on your gun. Due to this we always recommend having a gunsmith install our parts.
“Took it into scheels to have installed on my Ruger SR9C and they had it done in 5 minutes. Have yet to shoot the gun, but looks nice with the fast fire mounted on top.”
