“Pretty solid 2 piece bases. It is a bit thick though for my liking. I had gone this way because I needed picatinny and the one piece mount I had was a weaver single slot front and 2 slot rear and had minimal adjustment. My new scope came with picatinny rings that interlock into the picatinny, so I had to find something different. I do wish there was an option to get one that wasn't 1/4" thick though.”
“I had a gunsmith install the mount for my Vortex Venum on my S&W M&PC 9mm. He had no problem. I finally tested it for the first time. Sighted in pretty fast. Very good group at 20 yards. The mount worked great so far.”
“Have not shot the rifle yet. The scope is mounted. quality appears excellent. I'm using this to shoot service rifle. Would it be possible to lower the center line of the rings any more. Service rifle shooter's are limited to a 4.5 power scope max. So large objective lenses aren't an issue. Just a thought. I'm using the Leupold scope sold by White Oak armament. Lower would give shooter's better check weld.”
“I have used other EGW products purchased through other suppliers, this purchase is my first dealing directly with EGW. I have been happy with the quality of their 1911 parts. This continues to hold with the EGW optic mount for the EAA Witness - top notch quality. However, I need to return a Vortex optic to them, and have not yet had the experience of their customer services - that unknown is the only reason for the lack of the 5th star.”
