“This software is a fantastic tool for learning to read. My daughter has been using it for six months and has gone up four reading levels and 3-grade levels in her reading ability. I'm impressed, I highly recommend it.”

“My son pushes back a lot when it comes to reading time…in every form possible. Though we just started, I can tell reading with Ello will be different. The reward stars after each page, positive reinforcement and also the prize after so many accomplishments… has been a game changer. After one day he was excited and wanted to keep going. I know keeping on a routine is key and these incentives will help keep us on track!”

“My 7 year old does not like to read. She rather draw and color. We had arguing daily to read and I was getting worn down. Last ditch effort was to try Ello, I can not state enough what a life saver it has been. My daughter absolutely loves it and comes to me wanting to read with her friend elephant “Ello”.”

“My reluctant reader is very capable, but experiences some anxiety around reading. Reading to Ello has taken off some of the stress she was feeling around not getting every word correct the first time, every time. She loves earning her stars and watching them accumulate.”

“I love how the app tries to listen and help them with words they get stuck on when reading out loud to the app. It teaches them to sound out words before the book even starts and then help feature when they get stuck! I can Already see improvement!!”

“My soon to be 2nd grader had zero confidence in his reading skills, so he avoided reading as much as he possibly could. It had been a difficult task trying to find ways to encourage him before I found Ello! After just one day using Ello my son has learned so many new words and the confidence to sound out more challenging words. He loves collecting points along with the bonus videos after each book! Don’t even get me started on how happy he was when he earned a prize to pick from!!! Pure joy and accomplishment :). As a parent, it’s been beyond satisfying to see him confidently read an entire story. Literally in love with this program.. thanks so much Ello!! I will be recommending to everyone.”

“I'm so thankful to have found Ello! My daughter has loved being read to but would quickly become frustrated or resistant when asked to read to me. With Ello, she has been excited to practice reading. The guidance provided as she reads is wonderful. She is excited and motivated to earn more stars with each page. The videos provided at the end of each book also make the experience fun and give us more to discuss related to each book. I would recommend this program to everyone looking to support beginning readers.”

“We are on our first month, but this first month has really been great. My kiddo is somewhat familiar with sight words she learned in kindergarten, I started her at 1st grade level with this program. It listens to her read and really helps with sounding out words she struggles with. It's very incentivizing by telling her she can pick a prize for her progress. So far we love it!!”

“My seven year old struggles significantly with reading. I’m a former elementary school teacher and I’ve taught hundreds of kids to read. Trying to teach my own child resulted in lots of pushback, tears and frustration. I’ve tried apps to help with learning to read games but they always missed the mark. Either my child lost interest quickly or the educational aspect wasn’t adequate for my child. I stumbled upon Ello and thought it sounded good. I’ll admit I was skeptical. It’s safe to say, Ello has changed my child’s attitude toward reading. He was so nervous to start because he knew Ello would correct him when he struggled with a word. He cried to me, “I’m worried it will hurt my feelings.” This is always an issue for him. He doesn’t like to get things wrong. He’s aware he struggles more than most kids in his class. His self esteem has sadly taken a hit. I told him we had to give it a try. Ello is the kindest, most encouraging teacher a child could ever have. Ello gives the exact cues I would give a child struggling with a word. One of the greatest aspects is that Ello helps the child sound out the word and then moves on. They don’t belabor on the word making the child frustrated because Ello knows they’ll be seeing this word again throughout the rereading of the books during the month. That subtle repetition is key for my child. The encouragement my child receives from Ello and the motivation he receives through earning stars, earning an informational video to watch at the end of his book, and earning a prize that he gets to pick out each month is exactly what keeps his interest in opening up the Ello app to read each day. It finally feels like we’re having success supporting my child’s reading at home.”

“So far, I am in love!! My son is going into first grade and it’s a struggle for him to willingly read books, even though he’s a good reader for his age. With Ello, he has been enjoying it! “The first time when my 3rd grader son ( who has ADHD) used Ella He loved it, he was so excited about it, that he was keep reading all night.i am from Europe and I have a very heavy accent,so many times I don’t pronounce right the words and I can’t help him.When he had difficulties ello recognized what word he needed help with and said it for him.it also gives him a little independence, he can do this without me.I just love it. He already developed a lot!!!”

“My rising 1st grader is reading at grade level, maybe even slightly above but he hates to read out loud to other people. So, it’s hard for us to gauge how he’s doing and where he needs help. We’ve only been using Ello for a month, but are really enjoying it. My son actually looks forward to reading and is starting to develop healthy reading habits like creating his own reading corner. If you have a reluctant reader, this is worth a try. My son loves collecting stars as he works his way through the books and towards getting a prize. He also really seems to be enjoying the book choices so far.”
