Satellite broadband is sadly a must for me as I live in the country where there is no landline Internet connectivity. The service I receive is hugely over-priced and extremely frustrating. Connection is slow during the day and generally painful (to non-existent) during the evening! I cannot wait for landline Internet to reach my house so that I can make a switch.

Hi Neal Thanks for taking the time to respond to our survey. We cannot see a recent speed test performed on your system which has been with a computer connected to the Tooway Modem. Please can you perform our test at http://speedprobe.skylogicnet.com on a computer with a direct connection to the modem. I pay by Direct Debit my monthly charge so strongly object to receiving notices that I have not paid my monthly account.

HI Marjorie. Thanks for taking the time to respond to our survey. We do not, as yet, offer a Direct Debit service. If paying by bank transfer, we would strongly recommend that you make the payment at least two working days before the invoice due date ensuring that the payment is matched to your account on the invoice due date.

Living in rural France our France telecom line provided pretty poor service - we managed to get an ADSL service as part of a lease purchase of a macbook - this was ok most of the time for the first couple of years. I had the line tested and was told it was fine - after slow and interupted service. We had a particularly poor period when we could lose the internet connection from about 2000 - 0800hrs the following day! I complained again - only to be informed from FT that the system was fine - only minutes before the service dropped out again! I had been looking over the technician's shoulder as he took the signal readings - we were paying for "up to 2meg" and were getting 0.64meg - just about the old dial-up signal. I had always gone with FT - on the basis that they supplied everything - so there was no other agency to blame. I was talking to SFR, at the time - constant cold calling - promised me 8meg on the same system. When I told FT about my intention to change they pulled the service - I was left with no phone, lost my trading phone number, no internet! I eventually got sorted with SFR big mistake - perfect for first 12hrs, then 10mins internet over next 24hrs - suddenly no phone contact - took me months to cancel the deal. Thought all my birthdays had come at once when I contacted John Sidwell at Big Dish Satellite. Collected the kit from him at 1400hrs - two hour drive home, started to unpack it - fed dogs, got tools sorted - and I was on-line by 2000hrs. Took a while to sort out the best package for me - kept exceeding my allowance - bit expensive to keep buying time. However we are now sorted and able to phone, skype, stream videos, upload websites etc and run at a speed comparable to many urban dwellers. My original mounting of the dish was not the best, but have moved it and now have a pretty uninterrupted signal - lots of trees around our house. On balance - we have a good reliable system with excellent support - no more ringing FT to get a recorded message and another number to ring fired off in "machine gun French". FT don't seem to have the resources, SFR are a complete waste of time - I returned their Nuef Box via their courrier - they lost track of it - I got a Bailif's letter demanding 79€. My only appeal was to ring them on a premium line number! Using my TooWay (at the time) internet I discovered that these people were based in Sweden - so I phoned their head office in Stockholm on my VOIP phone and explained the situation - I was given the direct line to an English speaking person in their French head office. I explained the situation and said that not only had I returned the item but I had a receipt - however after the problems with SFR I felt indisposed to assist them in keeping track of their property. Happily - all in the past. The support from Europasat has been excellent, prompt and efficient. We pay the same as we were paying with France Telecom for our current service - there is absolutely no comparison - I wish I had found Europasat years ago and never miss a chance to recommend them to anyone I meet.

I wanted to upgrade from 10mb to 15mb but this option isn't available. Can't understand why not as it must just be a little programming. I won't use 25mb per month which is what I have been offered. Shame.

Initial query about getting satellite broadband was not good. Emails were not answered, nor were promised phone calls returned. I had to chase you to get any answers. Installation by reseller was OK but it appears the equipment supplied was updated at my expense by downloading 48% of my allowance in the first 24 hours, and then took it to 130% 48 hours later. Should this not have been done before it was installed?

The idea of having 20meg broadband sounded very appealing, and in the main it is a fairly reliable service. However, the general speed is very poor, I get a much quicker broadband with my BT line which only gives me about 5meg. I do not know why this is but even poor quality youtube videos buffer and it seems to take an age to go to another page. Overall I would say that it is an expensive monthly cost for what you actually get.

Hi Paul Thanks for taking the time to respond to our survey. Generally, we would not recommend satellite broadband to a customer receiving a 5Mb connection via a landline as the latency will make browsing, especially, seem slower than that type of landline speed. Kind regards The Europasat Team

I use this provider for my broadband signal, which is steadily reliable. The improvement I would like is the reinstatement of the DirectDebit facility from my account, as opposed to the current monthly charge to me credit card, which I might then consider using in emergencies only. Other than that, a good trustworthy company with a good product range and responsive customer service. Thank you

Satellite will be more expensive that standard ADSL broadband due to the amount of funding that has been ploughed into the new Technology. Subscribed to the SES PRO50 package with "upto" Mbps download speed - I get this speed for a short while first thing in the morning. during the day it slows dramatically and in the evening around 2Mbps on a regular basis - occasionally lower !! I have raised this with customer services - no real help at all, other than to confirm the system is working properly. Barely better than fixed line - not worth the cost sadly.

The speeds you are receiving could be due to the amount of people on the network at any given time as this is a shared network and for this reason, we cannot guarantee any kind of headline speeds. This is also why your speeds may be lower during the late afternoon till late at night simply due to the amount of people using the bandwidth. Please also be aware that the services is an up-to service which means the 20MB/s is not a guaranteed speed. Excellent communication. Only irritation is reminder email that invoice is due for payment when automatic card payment already in place (and has been every month since contract started!)

Quality customer service. Expensive internet service by satellite. In 2015, it would be great to have a real 24/7 UNLIMITED package without any limitations at a lower price.

The technical help desk were excellent in assisting the purchase of the necessary items and with the questions I had on installation. The items were very well packed and delivery was prompt considering the remoteness of my location and the reliance on ferry timetables. Installation was quick and all systems worked first time. After sales service has also been exceptional, on the few occasions I have contacted them. Suggest you phone in the later part of the afternoon as they are very busy in the morning.
