I wasn't clear that the billing date and reset dates were different so we spend a very uncomfortable couple of days with an extremely slow system because we had used up our data allowance and I thought it was due to be reset. Apart from that misunderstanding the system has worked well and your customer service has been good. Thank you.

I use this provider for my broadband signal, which is steadily reliable. The improvement I would like is the reinstatement of the DirectDebit facility from my account, as opposed to the current monthly charge to me credit card, which I might then consider using in emergencies only. Other than that, a good trustworthy company with a good product range and responsive customer service. Thank you

Satellite will be more expensive that standard ADSL broadband due to the amount of funding that has been ploughed into the new Technology. However, we are hoping that this will reduce as the option becomes more 'mainstream'. We do not offer a truly unlimited data tariff. Kind Regards, Europasat Team

Most of the time I am fully satisfied. Just sometimes the speed dies off and I get a lot of buffering on videos. BBC I player is ok as you download first and then playback, but I have to watch ITV progs in short bursts. Having spent a lot of time running at 56.7k on dialup, I really have no complaint. Apparently, tho, the new local service with fibre optics is very fast, but is still using the old cable from the exchange out to the hamlet here, and given the number of line failures we get, I think we are better off with satellite. (They do however supply free French TV and free phone calls, with unlimited broadband for about 37€. )

Hi We are happy with the way our system works, but ourselfs and many other people we know who use your service in France feel that it's to expensive for the little amount of data you get! With everything now running through the net ie tv like Netflix ,music streaming and telephone the data gets swallowed up in know time at all. Yes you offer larger data packages but the price is a joke! It's a shame as the system works well ,but as soon as a product arrives thats a better more realistic cost myself and many others will be moving to a different service. Regards Oliver Kilby

Generally, I'm pretty happy with the speed and service. However, I do feel that the speed had reduced since signing up to a 24 month contract, the thoughts of potentially paying more to get the same service I originally signed up for, as popularity increases, are a bit of a turn off to say the least. Look after existing, loyal customers, one would hope so .......

The speeds you are receiving could be due to the amount of people on the network at any given time as this is a shared network and for this reason, we cannot guarantee any kind of headline speeds. This is also why your speeds may be lower during the late afternoon till late at night simply due to the amount of people using the bandwidth. If you have particular concerns, can we ask that you call our Technical Team when you are experiencing the particularly slow speeds and they can investigate for you. Kind regards The Europasat Team

Although the dish assembly is quite heavy, the Installation and assembly is staightforward. If you point the dish in the approximate direction of the satellite, the in-built satellite signal finder makes the fine tuning easy. Signal is much better than that of the previous telephone line. Technical advice is always available should there be any queries.

Hi, I was very happy with the advisor that we spoke to regarding the upgrade of our broadband package but after upgrading to the extra package I then ran out of data allowance for watching streaming video and any downloads. I feel that designating the first 30 gig of our allowance to these things is a disgrace considering how much the monthly cost is! I am very disappointed with tooway for this as I have no mobile reception at my home I use instant messaging which no longer worked. I hope at some point the conditions with this package will be looked into and changes will be made. That is my only disappointment but in my opinion a very bad one. Regards. Matt Munro

In the weekend internet slows down very much, sometimes it's too slow to be able to check my mail, otherwise we are very happy with the service

I use this in France for three spells of five weeks in a year. The set up cost is quite high but would be OK if there was a better tarif for users like me. The £7 for 1gb(?) is high and does not seem to last long. I consider myself a light user. It is a bit of a fag phoning up each time for an additional slug and one does not know how much is used until it runs out. Sods law says that will always be on a Friday night. Difficult to manage. Otherwise it woks well.

I think you should be more generous in the amount of user time for the amount of money we pay each month. You email me to tell me I have already used up 76% of the amount of online time and I have no proof of this whatsoever. Other companies, used by my friends on the mainland have no restriction on the amount of time their customers can be on line. Please consider offering unlimited use for a reasonable price. You must be making enough money already.

When I first installed the satellite system I was very pleased with performance with regular download speeds above 18 Mbsps, after about 6-8 months download speeds dropped dramatically sometimes as low as 2-3Mbsps. I have spoken to John Sidwell several times and complained to head office but they can only give me the standard industry excuses. Overall it works quite well it is just the speeds that let it down and the price is astronomical (please excuse the pun). Regards, Edward Skipper

A very expensive way to obtain broadband internet connection, however where I reside there is no other viable alternative , at this time . An excellent provider ,I have experienced no problems since I had it installed , customer service , the little I have used them , appears to be on the ball . Only downside....THE COST . Would have been a 5 star rating if not for the cost .

About 3 months ago I purchased a self install package for my caravan. The Europasat website is very comprehensive and answers all the questions I needed to ask to determine the right package for my needs. The Europasat salesman was very informative and helpful over the phone and the buying transaction was simple. As long as your not frightened by a little DIY this is easy to install. The supplied router sends out a signal to enable you to set the dish up and the installation video is easy to follow. I bought an additional wireless modem to enable any device to be used in the caravan. You can name the network to suit yourself and set a visitors password so your not giving out your personal password. I chose the £20 per month 5Gb package download package. I would recommend this to start with as you can always upgrade later if it doesn't suit your needs. I am at my caravan most weekend throughout the year and so far it has delivered my needs for normal everyday usage. When I first set it up, it seemed to use half of my monthly 5Gb data straight away. I raised a query ticket with Europasat and they told me it may have been some sort of update. They did say they would contact the service provider and send me a more detailed explanation but I haven't received this as yet. In the new year I will monitor my data usage myself and compare it with the Europasat stated usage for my account to see if it matches up. I am sure it will, but I would just do this to satisfy my own curiosity. Also I have had quite a few enquiries from other caravan owners as to the system performance with a view to fitting a system for themselves (Some of them will want me to do it for them ha ha)

As with mobile phones, unused data cannot be rolled over to the next month as the satellite engineers need to know how much available capacity they have at any one time.
