I live in the wilds of Northern Spain, halfway up a mountain - we get massive winds here, but Europasat NEVER drops-out! When internet use is busy, speeds drop a bit, and buying extra bandwidth is expensive, so we stick in the window. Much better value bought from the UK than from Spanish venders, and after all - there's no competition where we live. Rafe

We have been using the Tooway XL package for 18 months now and we have been very happy with the standard of the equipment and the quality of the high speed broadband. Anytime I have had to ring to speak to an advisor both technical and financial, I have received prompt and courteous service..We have recommended your company to a number of people in the last few months and will continue to do so.

As we are in an area where broadband is non existent,this was our only means of connecting with theoutsideworld. Cannot fault the service and have recommended it to a number of people and will continue to do so.

We installed the Tooway system in our second home in Portugal last June to provide us with internet and the ability to keep up with a couple of our favourite UK TV programs online. (Not more than 2 hours a day). We invested in and purchased the system outright mainly because we were told it gave us the ability to switch the supply on and off with no contract. We were told that our 50 gig allowance would allow us to watch up to 6 hours of UK TV. We were not told that the minimum supply term was two months. Neither were we told that our unlimited broadband would be throttled one we had used up 50% of our 50 gig allowance (funny I thought unlimited was unlimited) and because of this viewing TV programs in the evening would be impossible. From the outset we were given miss-information. We were not made aware of the Europa sat Web Site and all the information it contains (including the Terms and Conditons) until the dish was on the roof and we were directed to the web sites client log in portal. Our tariff which, incidentally changed without any notification between June when we purchased and October when we wished to switch our system back on. Not even an email! The price you pay for investing in and purchasing the equipment rather than having a contract and renting. All in all we are extremely disappointed and are paying a very high price for 50 gig of internet which in reality is only 25 gig due to the throttling of our system. I am afraid I cannot recommend the Tooway/Europasat services to anyone.

The system is intensely frustrating because of the way speed is so variable. Often download speed moves to very slow rates and it rarely operates at the speed claimed in marketing. It may be the best option in rural France but it isn't a very good option. In a household of children with high demand for streaming video, this creates much frustration.

The speeds you are receiving could be due to the amount of people on the network at any given time as this is a shared network and for this reason, we cannot guarantee any kind of headline speeds. This is also why your speeds are lower during the late afternoon till late at night simply due to the amount of people using the bandwidth. Please also be aware that the services is an up-to service which means the 20MB/s is not a guaranteed speed. Three main points: 1. It works! 2. However, the download speed is nowhere near 20 Mb, more like 2 to 3. I do a lot of software downloads which take longer than they should. Also the latency problem is annoying, but that's not your fault. 3. The upload allowance is fixed, but should be flexible so the unused allowance can be tacked onto the download allowance. Again, not your fault, BUT it is a factor which would move me back to line ADSL when the speed of that improves. Overall, though, I am pleased with the improvements over the Orange ADSL connection I had previously. Robert bates

I found Europasat very good to deal with. They were welcoming when I visited them to ask about my options and all my questions were answered in full. When I came to make an installation, the equipment was sent to my remote address and I was given by phone all the technical support I asked for. My installation is not yet quite finalized but my experience to date has been excellent.

The speeds are very disappointing so downloading videos or TV programmes are often impossible.

I installed the dish and cabling myself which was easy and from day one down and upstream service has been solid even during prolonged bad weather spells here up in the mountains north of Madrid. Only on very rare occasions as a result of sudden intensive downpours has there been outages lasting for a few minutes If you want an internet service with faster down/upstream throughput (though higher latency) and more reliable then your standard ADSL offering out in the sticks I would recommend Europasat.

The help and advice I get from your Company has always been brilliant - and what sets you apart from any other Companies is that we can talk on the phone to you - for people who use computers who know the bare minimum of how to use them you have always been tremendously helpful , and we are never treated as an annoyance! Even trying to watch a BBC programme on iplayer just now, at midnight, (HIGNFY) has proved impossible: interruptions lasting 3 times longer than the available footage. I am disgusted at this service and wish I had never signed up to it. This has been routine for the past 9 months. Sometimes we can watch TV, but it's a lottery. Normal internet access is average. Frustrating, to say the least.

Dissapointed that I am unable to get unlimited usage and even those fairly high usage packages which are expensive have a clause where you are able to reduce levels as required. Living in rural Portugal my need for the internet is paramount.

We were hoping that the satellite system would be faster than it is, and faster than our previous BT service. It is no faster ( and upgrading from SES L to SES XL did not bring any improvement in speed) but it has two advantages over the previous BT connection; the service is reliablye inasmuch as it has so far been always available, and it does not slow down during high peak periods.

I have been with this company for a couple of years and I have had no problems with the equipment or the service and reception. I would recommend this Company to anyone, especially if you live in an area where other receptions are poor or no landline facilities are present. My area is poor for reception and this satellite has given me the best reception ever.

As a client of Tooway Direct in Spain I have so far found the service they offer (satellite internet connection) as good as they say it is - internet connection fast enough to cope perfectly well with video. The price is for me perfectly acceptable, given that I cannot get a landline installed. I have had technical issues a couple of times over the last 3 - 4 years and they have been resolved quickly by the very helpful local agents; I have never suffered a significant break in service. Overall I have no complaints about the service I am paying for and would happily recommend it to anyone whose circumstances suggest it is a possible solution for them.
