I chose this company because the prices were good (or so I thought) and they seemed to do a good job. I brought my 55 pictures to my local drop off and waited for the phone call that Everpresent received them. The phone call came with the tech telling me I had many more pictures than I sent and quoting me over $200 for the scanning and everything that would need to be done to bring my pictures back to like new. When I told her there were only 55 pictures and most of them just needed to be scanned, she insisted I was wrong. Only 15 needed any special attention. After a few minutes of going back and forth, she said she would check. Came back to tell me yes there was a lot less then she stated but more than the 55 pictures I counted (??) Now she quotes me $140. I was going to ask for my pictures back. She tells me it could be less and the $140 was just an estimate. I gave her the $70 deposit required thinking that it would be corrected later on. It was not. Not only was I charged the full $140 but they did nothing to improve the photos given to them. Their site shows a cracked, faded picture brought back to like new. That is what I was expecting to receive. The scan looked the same as the picture with no improvement. I would not recommend this service. I did not contact them after I received my pictures back. I just don't want anything to do with them again.

Hello Carla Thanks for your feedback - it looks like your original recording was created as a VHS slideshow from the 1990s. The effects that you are seeing on the recording were intentional design elements that your videographer used during the recording. A senior member of our Client Success Department will reach out to see if there is any other wedding footage you may have or talk about our editing services. Have a great holiday and we hope to work with you again on another project.

Sirs: I have a HP Scan G4050 and three very dark slides. Although I received "boilerplate" emails about the marvelous work you were doing (I think these were just marketing items and had little truth in the 'personal work' on my slides my slides were sent with expectations of a usuable presentation material. When I received the finger disc group of slides it is difficult to see a major upgrade of my dark slides. The copies on my G4050 frankly were better but I sent them to you hoping for improvement that was not as good as my armature attempt. I planned on using the images for a medical presentation of my early cases and your work product was not acceptable. Frankly money spent was wasted and I received nothing in return put propaganda about how good your firm was! My investment with your firm was wasted.

Hi Michael, Thanks for your feedback. At EverPresent we stand by the quality of our work and the results are only as good as the original media that can work with. I reviewed your order and it looks like there was significant digital corruption from the original 8mm video tape and that was notated on your Quality Report. I will reach out to you personally to see if we can help with another project where the originals might be better quality. Best, The EverPresent Management Team

Well, I spent $95 to have 2 VHS full of crappy quality/unwatchable reruns and TV movies put on a flash drive. (Before you tell me I should have checked what was on them, I was not aware they couldn’t tell me what was on them until after the work was complete.) It was a huge waste of money and hard to believe they didn’t have a VHS player to put them in to check for me. The only way this would have been a good experience is if I had that $95!!!!! back in my pocket.

I’m afraid that I have been disappointed in the results of the work done by Everpresent. One of the four disks I received has someone else’s music on it, and I am missing the last several movements of a major work on my disks. The recording quality makes me think that the copies were made without listening to what was on them. Admittedly, these are some older recordings, but I, an amateur in the recording field, have made infinitely more acceptable copies of these tapes. I have the feeling that either the technicians were unaware of the fact that this work was recorded on a 1/2 track Stereo, rather than 1/4 track, and so much of the fidelity is lost, causing distortions of balance and clarity. I made a point to inform those to whom I entrusted the tapes that some were recorded in 1/2 track, but it seems that was ignored. Lastly, I had a copy of the work transferred to a thumb drive, but have been unable to play anything from it since it appears that the jack has been twisted and therefore it is unreadable.

Well the project started midway through Covid it was something that was going to be for my mom‘s gift and the project took months and months to get done then when it was completed it was only half done because they only recorded a portion of the tape when were specific instructions that there was a blank pushing in the middle anyway after receiving it and numerous phone calls and explaining and re-explaining we brought the tape back in and they somewhat repaired it and gave me an updated version of it but it was a fairly expensive and time involved to get it done was over what was expected for such an easy simple project my experience overall was negative responses from individuals was wasn’t too good although they tried hard and it seems like every time I had to re-explain it to someone else in a different department

Not a great experience, wasn’t too concerned about the conversion of the 2 movies to a flash drive, 1 didn’t work due to it being in bad condition and the other didn’t seem to have sound once done although it did before hand. It took about 6 months and I’m guessing that was due to Covid, when I went to pick up the finished flash drive and film they couldn’t quite find it so that took a little bit of time to locate, then a few weeks later I got a phone call to say the other one was done, I drove 30 miles to go pick it up but then got sent to another store 30 miles in the opposite direction only to find they had no idea what I was talking about, they then called the first store and they said oops it must be in someone’s van somewhere that they would call me when it was located, they never called and I’ve no idea if there even was another flash drive or movie ! Not a place that fills me with confidence! Still waiting to hear back from them months later !!!

Unreasonably expensive with no pricing chart prior to sending in the package so you feel trapped to use them by the time you get the quote.

I would never recommend this service. After one of my 8mm films were lost the tech told me I had submitted an empty reel those of us who have lost family understand what care we take of these memories. He then refused to help transferred me to another employee. Again I’m told the reel was empty. What was to be an emotional Christmas gift is just a deep sadness for the family. The missing movie contain only two still living relatives. I should not have been so easily dismissed. I have not received a call back in months. Maria Breen
