“my order arrived about 3 weeks long and there was no dry ice left in the package by the time it arrived. Inside the box, there was blood stains everywhere. Sharon at customer support was helpful but the replacement package, which was supposedly sent out as expedited took another 2 weeks to arrive with missing item in it! haven't had a chance to try the quality of their meat yet, but i would never order from this company again. Their packaging looks terrible and some are missing expiration dates. Do Not order from this company!”

“Wish I had read the reviews! I was supposed to get a half pig but got a mishmash of pork. I didn't get a lot of what was described: no pork chops, sausage, hocks etc. All the bacon was ends and pieces. I got a ton of ground pork and pork steaks. I will be trying them tonight. I am just hoping they aren't tough. I will never order from these people again!”

“Meat has so much Geisel. I cooked a small roast in pressure cooker for 90 minutes but still can’t tear it apart because of the Geisel.”

“Ordered half a cow for $1800 shipped. Comes in 4 deliveries of roughly 50 pounds each. Shipping was adequate, took about 2 weeks for first box to ship and one every two weeks after that. Meat tastes good, maybe a little too much fat on some cuts, but steaks are thick and tender. Now for the bad. When you pay for half a cow you expect some quality cuts of meat. I got 0 Porterhouse/ T-bone steaks, only a couple filets, about 10 NY straps and the rest was flank steaks roasts and ground beef. What they do is take the best steaks from the half of cow you already paid for and resell them to customers just ordering specific cuts. So they're making a killing off the same cow. When you pay for half a cow you expect all the meat from that half. I won't be ordering from here again.”

“poor quality of the guinea hen and merguez. The hen is supposed to be a very lean bird. This one had fat all over. Price is irrelevant when quality is poor.”

“I’m 66 years old and have tried a lot of different companies for beef. Without a doubt there beef was the worst I’ve ever had. It was so tough we couldn’t eat it. Do not waste your hard earned money on this company.”

“I reached out to them to see where my food would ship from before buying. They wouldn't tell me what farm or what area my meat would come from, only said Missouri. I'm in California. Hard NO.”

“I'm a catering company that ordered 2 weeks ago for a dinner tomorrow evening. It's a wine tasting and farm food dinner. My order still hasn't shipped. It's basically a 1 day shipping from their company to Napa Valley. Here's the real thing they will be missing out for being unreliable. Most companies want to be in Napa Valley, there's alot of money here to be had. I will get from another company that will benefit from being in Napa Valley. There was no text, email or call to inform about the shipment. I won't make this mistake again and another farm company will be happy to have their name associated with Napa. Don't order if you have expectations of delivery they are unreliable!!”

“Since I went once on their website, my browser shows their products everywhere. Being trilingual, I still see these cookies on sites of a different language. And you cannot remove these cookies. I NEVER AUTHORIZED THEM TO USED COOKIES.”

“I received an order about 2 weeks ago, I wish I saw these review. The meat is indeed tougher than expected. I order bison, they shipped and labeled the package as buffalo. These are 2 different animal as far as the quality of meat is concerned. When I reached out to customer service they sent to wikipedia page (which I already saw) which says that bison/buffalo are the same. Beware, these think we idiot regarding the quality of food. Unfortunately, I am now stuck with 1/4 cow and a bunch a fat/oiled buffalo. STAY AWAY!”

“First time I ordered a whole beef tenderloin and it was pretty good so I ordered again. I ordered another filet and 10 ribeyes. The filet was just a big blob of? Who knows what. It was certainly not a real filet. It was so tough we couldn't hardly chew it. The Ribeyes were beautiful BUT, they were so tough and chewy we fed them to the dogs!! When I messaged them they responded by saying that we didn't know how to cook them. It made me so mad that I didn't even respond. I just knew that I was going to make a review and let other people know how this company is!! I'm 68 years old! I know how to cook but, my son in law is a chef and he's the one that cooked all of these steaks. He eats his Rare and my daughter and I eat ours medium Rare. I wish I had looked at the reviews before I ordered from them. I will never get anything from this place again!! I'm like a few of the other people that said they would give them a big fat -0 if that was possible!!”

“I would give it a 0 if that's available. I ordered a heritage pork rib rack on FarmFoods and on their website they had pictures of what it looked like. It was clearly a rib rack (st Louis style, baby back style whatever you name it) The representative insisted that the name of the product is correct and I just happened to get a bigger rib that was more of a rib roast. The product I received was labeled "5 rib rack" which was not even stated not on the website. If it was stated as 5 rib rack and weigh about 4-5lbs, I would've at least contacted customer service to clarify it it's a roast or rib rack. If you look at the 2nd and 3rd pictures of the link. (if it's not there anymore, it means they've taken it down out of shame) It is truly misleading. I've been a customer at d'artagnan and first timer at farmfoods because of a friend's referral. Sharon provided me with the worst customer service because after almost 24 hours, she emailed me with this response: "We understand that you feel it is a roast because of the weight." after everything I've explained. Did you even really look at your website pictures? How about informing me that your company will make better notes on the website? or "educate" me which ones are which? Left a sour taste in my mouth. I will keep shopping at d'artagnan.”

“I purchased 10 flatiron steaks.. 7 of then were very grisly and unedited. After contacting them they responded by saying that grass fed beef was sometimes like that and were sorry. This place is not worth spending your money on. Find somewhere else to purchase your beef from.”

“I ordered a cured ham and shrimp the ham they sent was fresh and the shrimp looks like they had it for a year all iced over with ice in the bag they asked for pictures which I sent four times and they claim they did not get. the shrimp cost 28$ and the price difference for the ham is about 5$ . I can deal with the fresh ham but not old shrimp”

“OK so it looks like this company does not know how to treat their clients. I have ordered from multiple farms all across the country and they are never hit or miss. This company not only has poor quality, they do a lot of bait and switch. You really need to look closely at the ads. I ordered ham steaks and what I received was a mish mash of pork. I will never buy from them. If this is how they treat their customers imagine how they treat their animals. SHAME ON THEM! Inedible product.”
