Dear Lola, Thank you for your feedback. Could you please advise if you have experienced a problem with our service or with the tutor? We follow up to make sure that contact has been made and ask clients to let us know if you are not satisfied with your tutors so we can help solve the issue. We charge a finder's fee for the release of the tutor's contact details, only once both parties have agreed to go ahead with tuition. The fee helps to cover costs of staff, website, hosting of tutor platforms etc. Kind regards Customer Services First Tutors.

“I wanted her to phone or email me rather than a small text box, the tutor said she can help, I paid the £20 Fee. She only had available starting 2weeks away, after 7pm for an 11 year old and lived 20min drive away and it was stated it would be easier for me to drive to her twice a week equaling 160min driving a week for me. Had I been able to ask these questions before for example a phone call or email I wouldn’t have chosen her. I found somebody more local on Facebook for free. He is a teacher with amazing reviews, 5min from me and willing to travel to me. I found FB more efficient do to the restrictions on this site, I wouldn’t bother using it again.”

“In all honesty it is difficult to do Sabrina justice with a mere review but I will do my best. Sabrina tutored our son for GCSE English 2020/2021. English has always been our sons’ worst subject; he never did like it nor ever did well in exams so, he was really dreading GCSE English. Moreover, year 10 was not good for him and his school didn’t do live classes during first lockdown so he went into year 11 behind in both language and literature to the extent that we feared he would fail either one. Thankfully, after trying a couple of teachers, we found Sabrina in September just as the year was starting. Half way through the academic year, our son jumped from grade 5 to 8 in language and from 4- to 8 in literature and he is doing even better now! His expected grades are 9 in both! His English has been transformed and his writing style now impresses us! Sabrina went above and beyond to help our son. Her knowledge and expertise are exceptional. She is serious, committed, punctual, professional and a great communicator. She was also very forbearing and kind when we were late or had to do last minute changes. She never cut from lesson time when were late and we were really late sometimes! Flexible too, always trying to accommodate our requests and changes of lesson time. Every lesson, she makes sure she understands what our son wants to work on beforehand and she dedicates serious efforts and time to plan for the lesson so not one minute is wasted. She gives homework each week and our son have to submit it before lesson time so that she gets a chance to correct it outside lesson time, unlike most teachers. Furthermore, the online lessons have been great just as good as the face-to-face ones. She also helped him enormously with his personal statement for A-levels applications and the final draft was brilliant! I hope I did Sabrina some justice here. Thank you, Sabrina, for your amazing support and for your generosity. You will definitely be seeing us again in two years when our daughter starts her GCSEs. Until then, we wish you all the best. “Really quick and easy process. Chose a tutor, exchanged a few messages, paid a fee to release their details and after a 20min introductory chat we booked in the first lesson. That lesson was last night and my son was really happy with how it went.”
