A bullying, lying, gossip for a Development Manager. Neither of them have any interest or care for any resident. Don't trust either of them Property Manager appointed Development Manager and he totally believes anything he is told by them. Development Manager can't remember what they say or who they say things too they have a reputation for being a gossip, discussing certain residents business with other residents. No confidence in Firstport whatsoever”
“Absolute joke of a management company. No one from their organisation responds to ANY emails, calls, letters from residents for months at a time. Then we will get a single reply that’s an automated message. Then another that conflicts the previous one. Then employees telling residents we haven’t logged any complaints with then! Currently our building has a ‘risk to life’ fire rating and we can’t even get ahold of anyone from Firstport to give us more information. If our building goes up in flames and people die, you know why!”
“These people are Legal criminals! We have lives in our home for over 7 years the service charge has gone from £360 pound for the year to nearly £600 they make the rules up as they go along. after sending me 2 statements for how much the 6 monthly cost was on the day of payment they removed and added another 24 pound for extra charges. I emailed the property manager and complained, and he offered a breakdown of service charge I explained this was unfair after sending 2 statements out in the last 2 weeks for these to change on the day of payment! I received nothing back! I do not know legally how companies are allowed to trade there services and act like god! as they make the rules up and we have to follow. Scott Nottingham”
“My ongoing struggle with a persistent leak in my property, dating back to October 2023, has brought to light the disappointing service standards of FirstPort Property Management. The initial reporting of the issue was met with a sluggish response, and it wasn't until my persistent involvement that they dispatched various individuals to address the problem.
In December, a temporary repair was attempted, but regrettably, it proved to be ineffective, leaving me with a persistent leak. What amplifies the frustration is the evident lack of responsiveness, empathy, and care exhibited by FirstPort throughout this ordeal. Despite their promptness in demanding exorbitant service charge payments, they have displayed an alarming inability to address and resolve issues impacting my property.
The overall level of service from FirstPort has been deeply disappointing, showcasing both incompetence and a concerning lack of ethics. Witnessing a property management company prioritise financial demands over the well-being of its clients is disheartening. This experience has left me profoundly dissatisfied with their conduct, raising serious questions about their professionalism and dedication to promptly and effectively resolving issues.
The unnecessary difficulty in obtaining assistance has turned every rainfall into an anxiety-inducing event, making me question why such a basic need—having a secure and leak-free home—has become an arduous battle. No one should be subjected to this level of distress and neglect.
I am thinking of starting a group- ‘Surviving FirstPort’ when this ordeal is finally over! ☹”

They get contractors to spend thousands of pounds to join therm unfortunately the cost is passed on to the residents when jobs are issued, they think contractors swallow all these unnecessary cost
The online portal is supposed to be transparent yet they don’t even bother to read comments left by residents or contractors
For us the worst thing is there purchase ledger dept we are owed Thousands of pounds yet these people think it’s ok to ignore all emails, so we decided to let the Courts deal with
Rest assured there are far better Property Management Companies out there take your time before selecting these clowns”
“They keep sending me bill via post £800+ and only live in the development for over a year. Online account has charge too £200 half yearly charge in advance! I dont know, feels like they are a scam!!!”

“We residents paid a levy on an already inflated Service Charge of over £40K for "urgent" external repairs in January 2023 and nothing has been done in the year and no communication --Must be some type of scam ?? Dreadful company with elements of criminality ?”
“FirstPort was originally called OM Peveral, they changed their name because they had such a bad image. Nothing has changed, the roof still leaks, and the roof reserve pot of money is almost nothing after 25 years of filling it up. You pay for services you don't get, like bin cleaning, fire checks, and broken fences that don't exist. They send out the same exact letter (word for word), stating repairs they have done that increased the yearly fees. First Port hire people with no experience installing a gate and it's constantly broken it should be covered under the one-year guarantee but we get billed for it. The FirstPort 'Home' site doesn't give clear facts about any repairs, who does it, for what, and where. The cleaners and gardens don't turn up so everything is overgrown and overflowing rubbish-wise. First Port are just a shockingly bad money-grabbing company that”
“We had reason to phone your customer services today as our careline went off again as an emergency.we thought it had been fixed but had another false call today at 2pm.
We phoned to report this error and after being chased up by our (ex sadly missed)managerTRACY GURSCO we had an engineer within two hours, thanks for such prompt action”
“I'm trying to buy a flat in a development managed by First Port. We (me and the seller) have been waiting for months for them to reply to the solicitors enquiries and still no reply. I'm going to give up on the purchase.”
“The estimates of the roof works cost ranged from £49,800 to £95,130. The cost was to be shared between 8 flats. We paid our share stipulated as £5560.25. FirstPort later refunded it due them breaking the lease. They charged us instead by increasing the reserve fund.
*If they just increased our reserve fund share by the £5560.25 stipulated as our proportion on 2021-12-07; that would have been acceptable, instead they increased our reserve fund contributions by 714%. Our service charges thus increased by £6782.58 in 2023, and by £7405.14 in 2024 – a total increase of £14,187.12.
We are one of 8 flats, if every flat pays this increase, this is a total of £113,501.76, which is double the maximum estimate of £95,130 required for the major roof works.”
“Absolute dreadful company. They have left a number of over 90s in damp conditions with water running down their walls and through their electric lights for 13 MONTHS after a bad job replacing decking . No thought what so ever for the conditions these elderly people are having to put up with in their owned flats. Buckets out having to move out of their bedrooms. Still the Saga goes on.
DO NOT CONSIDER BUYING ANYTHING FIRSTPORT MANAGE.”
“They simply ignore requests for basic information, including about the money they are supposed to be holding for leaseholders. They have been caught several times overcharging. How come nobody goes to prison for this? If I steal money I expect to be prosecuted, but they keep doing it, and they seem to get away with it. Amazing!”
“They do absolutely nothing but ask you for money! They never follow up reports, fix anything just close them down and don't even get notified they closed report. They dont close them because they have corrected/fixed anything, just because they can.”

Unfortunately I am still going through the ordeal with FirstPort. I am or was in the process of selling my flat and needed the management to complete the sale. Could I, my solicitor or Riverside get through to FirstPort. We requested the pack in June and it's now nearly October. The buyer is looking to pull out now and I'm thousands of pounds down due to increase mortgage and bills (and paying for 2 places). I have told FirstPort I am unable to afford Childcare while they are holding things up. Firstport do not realise behind their computer screens there's people struggling, Financially and mentally. This has caused me so much anxiety and stress. I have no idea how to get out of this blackhole now.”
