I ordered a hamper for my brother’s Xmas present on 12 Dec and it arrived on 31 Dec so no use at all as I won’t see him for months now. Customer service was shocking. For £65 the contents of the hamper were a complete rip off. Always happy to support independent sector but not for such a poor experience

I gave you a hard time because of the lateness of delivery but the recipient was delighted with the "wonderful selection of award winning goodies" delivered after 21 days! Understandably frustrated by the lack of deliverers, you kept your head and kept in touch with those of us waiting. Well done!

I've not used BoroughBox before but I was delighted how quickly my order arrived despite the pressures from Christmas and the pandemic. Really nice to be able to buy Kentish rapeseed oil with infusions plus condiments.

I ordered a subscription from The Spicery through Borough Box for part of a Christmas present. The Spicery's box arrived safely and well packed, the subscription voucher was redeemed and all's good to go! My son was really pleased with his present! I'd been given a BB gift earlier in the year (gin and tonic taster box). I was really impressed with the products, the packaging and the service. Will definitely order again. Thank you!

On 10 December I ordered 2 Christmas present food hampers to be delivered on 18th December in London and Brighton. The first was delivered almost at once and sweated under the recipients’ Christmas tree until I heard about it and could advise them to move it to a cooler place; the second was delivered on 31 January, after complaining, missing Christmas altogether. I understand the special problems of scheduling in the pandemic year and carefully ordered well in advance, but not too much in advance to threaten food quality. I have enjoyed Borough Box produce before, but will not order again. I can’t risk it.

I regret ordering Christmas hamper from this place. The order was placed on 11th dec and there are still no updates or sign of any delivery. They will respond to your email and calls with automated messages. I am still trying to chase them about my order in the new year, as it still hasn’t been delivered. I ordered a gift for my family and it is embarrassing as it never reached them even before the new year. Pathetic customer service, please do not waste your time and money and order from elsewhere.

The order arrived weeks late which was frustrating but not the end of the world as it still arrived in time for Christmas. However the real let down was the package itself. It was in a cheap looking cardboard box and not at all like the advertised box which looked wooden. The individual bottles inside had been forced into slots with foam packaging whether they properly fit or not which meant the box arrived misshapen. Several of the labels had been put on wonky. The whole thing looked like it had been put together in a slapdash manner without any proper care or attention. I felt truly embarrassed to give this as a present especially as I thought it would be a special gift. I take no pleasure in writing bad reviews but there we are. I cannot give it the lowest mark as it did actually arrive and I assume the drinks were acceptable (it was a present so I cannot be sure). I would certainly hesitate before ordering from them again. The lesson here is don’t bite off more than you can chew and don’t accept orders you will have difficulty fulfilling!

I still haven't received anything at all. I placed the two orders as part of Christmas presents! Very disappointed indeed.

Ordered on 9th December. Am still yet to receive my order despite recivieing emails to say it has been dispatched twice. I know that Christmas is an extremely busy time but very disappointed my order still hasnt arrived

Order placed 8th December, received 2nd Jan. Emailed, just automated response. Called, no answer. Tweeted, no response. I had gift voucher I applied to the purchase. Had I paid the full £45 for what I have received, I'd be feeling very hard done by. All in all, absolute rubbish.

Ordered hamper on 10th December all Items arrived except one . Now 2nd jan no sign of missing item which whilst doesn’t bother me as it’s a bag of crisps I can’t see how even with xmas delays can take this long as now 2nd jan . Quality of items arrived was good but wouldn’t order again as felt overpriced . Had a work voucher to use this time .

Ordered on 10th December with ‘5-7 day delivery’ so we expecting delivery before Christmas. It didn’t arrive until 31st December. There was no Christmas pudding although the person we gave it to said additional items were included.

Took almost 3 weeks to arrive. Missed the opportunity to give it to the intended recipients due to the delivery being so late. Was told it was being shipped and still had to wait another week for it arrive. Products don't appear to offer value for money for the price paid. No contact as yet from BoroughBox despite emailing them. Would not recommend.

I was very keen to support a London business but unfortunately despite ordering the boxes on December 8th they were not delivered until after Christmas. one was delivered on 23rd and the other on 28th. I understand too well the challenges with Covid and lockdown but I think the communication and messaging could be massively improved as I had no real information about the deliveries and constant reminders they were overwhelmed. I haven't had feedback on the products yet - so this is based only on communication and fulfilment.
