I bought a flame imitation light bulb which was either defective or not suitable. I assume it was defective. They wanted a restocking fee. I called and they said I would get an RMA to ship back but I never got one. I was going to buy some lighting but not now.

The coppersmith brand lanterns I purchased fit the design where they are installed perfectly Ordering and delivery cannot be faulted BUT. For the premium price point paid I should not have had to finish the incompletely installed glass nor should I have received a product of CHINA. All of the inferences from Coppersmith were of an American made product. Very disappointed to say the least

I can give you one start because Brianna was helpful in customer, however the rest of the experience was terrible. I purchased 1000$ worth of gas lamps off your website. The photo that represented what I was buying was wrong the item I received looked nothing like the photo. Also noticed once I mention to Brianna the picture on the website was changed. I was only offered the same lamp in exchange. Poor representation of products and unfortunately you could not correct. Would not shop here again or recommend

I am a builder. I ordered to French Market gas lanterns. Received the first one in several days. Great. The second one never arrived. Called customer service and had to leave a message. They called back and said the problem was with the shipper and it was my responsibility to contact the shipper. The two laters are to be mounted on each side of a entrance to a new high end residence. Without a matching pair nothing is viable. I am out of recourses and can’t find a solution. UPS does not communicate.

Lantern is okay, the process to get it and the Delivery was complicated, the packages never were delivered to my house, I think is not a good option to buy on this place.

I received the lantern poorly made . Whom ever installed the glass gave no effort to doing it properly. It’s just what’s out there today. Nobody gives rats ass anymore 🤮😩🧐

Customer service after the sale is horrible. I had to contact the manufacturer. I understand companies are having a hard time with staffing issues, but they would not respond to voicemail or emails.

I sadly won’t be purchasing from French Market Lanterns again. While delays are expected right now, poor communication and a refusal to make an effort to do better is not. My shipment was delayed multiple times and I only found out because of my multiple emails and phone calls where I finally got ahold of someone. When I did speak to someone they told me they would check with the manufacturer on my ship date. I asked them to call me the next day even just to let me know if they didn’t have an answer yet. The customer service agent said “they didn’t do that”. I asked if she could make it her personal task to call me with an update even if it wasn’t standard, just to turn my experience around. She refused my multiple requests for communication. I continued to call everyday, some days getting her back on the phone, some days not. She did call me once they finally had a ship date over a week later. I would have hoped for this company to go above and beyond with communication because of the shipping delays. I had to chase them instead of them chasing my continued business and positive review.

Very unhappy at the moment! One of our almost $400 each lanterns came with the glass piece out of place. The company has tried to tell us multiple times how to “fix” it! I’m sorry but that’s absolutely unacceptable when you spend that kind of money to have to fix something that’s brand new! Ridiculous!! We have been told to wait to get tracking information to send it back, it’s been over a week and we have made multiple calls with no tracking yet. So unhappy with this company!

Your company was very good to deal with on the purchase of 7 coppersmith lanterns. The product is great. I have one that is not working and have e-mailed your company three times over about 3 weeks and have not gotten a response. Not to mention leaving at least two voice mails. I reached out to Coppersmith directly and they re-directed me back to you. Being a small business owner myself I understand problems and very rarely will leave a bad review unless I feel a company deserves one.

To say my experience with this company was abysmal is being generous. My house is not done being built, I don't live there, I don't live in the state - and the house won't be ready for 5/6 weeks. I inquired about a custom order with these guys and was told that custom orders were running closer to 6 weeks. Fine - I could go ahead and order then, as the builder won't install any lights I didn't buy from them and I didn't want $1500 in lanterns sitting idle, unsecured, at an under construction house. I placed my order. The next day, I tried unsuccessfully to find a person to line up for installing them. So I tried to call FML to cancel my order (they have a policy clearly stated on their website that you could cancel within 48 hours). I say tried because I called many times, no answer or goes straight to voicemail. I emailed. No response. I left a voicemail. No response. Finally, the next day, after the 48 hrs had elapsed, I received a call back from FML. They claimed they had no record of my voicemail or my multiple calls. I was then told that I could cancel, but would likely have to pay the penalty fee as they likely would have gone to production. I said I've been trying to call since early yesterday - why would I be punished for an inability to contact you? The rep I spoke to, Mackenzie, said she would check with production and call me back. She called me back, promptly, and informed that not only had the lanterns gone to production, but that they had already shipped! I explained that this was unacceptable, she needed to divert that order - I could not take delivery because, again, I don't live there. She maintained her stance that I would have to pay the penalty for the production. Wait a second, Mackenzie - you clearly had these items in stock if they shipped so fast, nothing was produced (came to find out later that yes, they shipped so fast because they were in stock - so why would I have to pay a penalty then?). I was told they couldn't do anything to divert the shipment back to them. UPS told me to put a note on the door of the house to refuse delivery. Again - I don't live there so not sure how I would do that. Begged the builder to do it, they did. UPS delivered anyway. UPS wouldn't go back and pick up. FML basically told me to just have someone drop them at UPS then, instead of trying to get UPS to go pick them up again. Again - I don't live there. Begged an acquaintance to drive 45 miles to pick them up and drop them at UPS. Finally got my refund after they made it back to FML. Way too much work for something that I explicitly asked about the timeline of delivery on - and they showed up 6 weeks early. And terrible service to fix their own problem. Would recommend ordering only if you want a huge headache.

Horrible company to deal with! I first was sent the wrong finish on the lantern I ordered after waiting on it for two months, which I was aware of at time of ordering. I was told to repackage the lantern ( not a easy job) and send all parts back. I had purchased a scroll top and was told to send it back which I did. When I received new correct finish on lantern -They did not return my scroll. Mailed it separately and it looked nothing like the first one they sent and had no hardware to attach it to the lantern. Received new scroll on June 1st. It is now July 19th and I still do not have anything to attach it with. I have talked to the maker and French Market Lanterns. I have even requested that they just tell me what to go buy to attach it. We are building a new home and we also have a gas stove, which means the gas people will have to come back yet again to hang this lantern. I have sent texts, called and no one ever responds. No one is ever available to take calls. The few times I have talked to someone they say they are taking care of it. I requested they overnight on June 1st. I never write reviews good or bad, but something needs to be done. I hope no one else has to go through this.

Read the fine print!! Not only is there a HUGE restocking fee but you have to pay to return these lights! I lost close to $1000 to try these outdoor lanterns! HORRIBLE POLICY and HORRIBLE way to run a business!
